After a pleasant walk along the lungarni (the quayside along the Arno) visitors arrive at the Basilica of Santa Croce. If, instead, visitors take the small internal streets, typical for their artisan workshops and markets of every sort, they reach the Cathedral, Piazza della Signoria (Palazzo Vecchio) and Ponte Vecchio.

B&B Cimabue 9 is located on the first floor of a 19th century building; the district is well served by public transport and has many restaurants and cinemas. Recently renovated to offer guests a comfortable and friendly ambience, it has four rooms, all with private bathroom, air conditioning, television and free wireless Internet connection. There is a terrace at the disposal of guests. At arrival keys are given to all guests so they may gain access to B&B Cimabue 9 at all times.

Very helpful and welcoming host, I would definitely recommend this place. The rooms are very clean and impeccable; beds are comfortable and bathrooms are newly renovated. The only issue we found was that the b&b windows, despite having a double glass, weren't very sound proof and apparently we were unlucky enough to stay there on the night in which the streets were being cleaned. However, I would not let this put you off, as the b&b is great and excellent value for money; the noise problem can easily be offset by a pair of ear plugs and I suspect other properties located in historical buildings will have similar issues in Florence. Breakfast was also great and Enrico, the owner (who speaks excellent English), gave us a detailed map of the city and lots of useful information on how to find our way around. The property is also easy to get in touch with by phone as I experienced. Bus stop nearby if you are coming from the station with luggage; pleasant walk from the centre or from Oltrarno if you come home at night after dinner (and after a few glasses of Chianti or Vin santo).

Enrico was wonderful, present for every need while giving you your privacy. He gave us the keys so that we may go and come back at any time. The district is just out of the old city allowing you to reach historical places in a short time, even walking, while having the possibility to park the car near the B&B. True that is not easy to find a parking down in the streets but we always managed in a matter of 5 minutes to do it.

Wonderful B&B. Host, Enrico was great, very accomodating. Room was a little noisy with traffic, but no problem sleeping.

I and my wife stayed in the B&B for 7 days. We really enjoyed the stay and the great hospitality Enrico, the B&B owner, provided us with. My wife is very picky and hard when it comes to cleanness and coziness: the B&B exceeded all our expectations. The room is very spacious, very clean and very convenient with a great price balance for a young as well as mature couple. The location is very great as well: you can either walk to all the main sites or take a bus that stops nearby. Overall, we really enjoyed the stay in Firenze and the B&B was one of the main reason for it.

Enrico is a wonderful host: friendly, helpful, thorough. Room, attached bathroom are super clean. Nothing to say poorly of, on the contrary! Knowing Enrico is pleasure too.

Enriquo has been a great host. He has provided us enough tips to visit the city and he was kind enough to arrange car parking tickets (10€ per day) for us. On our second day of stay, he even came to the city center to collect the car keys and put the parking ticket inside the car. This is a B&B within reasonable distance to city centre offering good quality for money. The only negative thing I can say about Cimabue 9 is that the breakfast was not as spacious as you would expect from such a nice place.

Enrico, the B&B owner, is what made our stay here a real gem and left us with a wonderful impression of Florence. He went above and beyond anything we could have anticipated, from helping us with our luggage and finding a parking spot to accompanying us to the doctor's when my mom wasn't feeling well (he even waited the whole hour with us even though he had errands to run). The B&B itself offers great value for its price. It is located near Piazza Beccaria (a 10-minute walk from the centre) and is close to buses and a large supermarket as well. Our room was spacious and clean, the bathroom was spotless, and we had free high-speed WIFI. A continental breakfast is served in the common room and patio from 8-10am and Enrico makes you fresh cappuccino/coffee to your liking. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!

We stayed at Cimabue9 in a triple room in June 2011. The reviews on Venere and Tripadvisor were excellent and deservingly so. The room was spotless, spacious, with a period painting on the ceiling. The bathroom was modern and equally clean. The welcome and service provided were first rate and there is not much that can be improved on. Perhaps the option of having a hot chocolate instead of coffee? I would highly recommend this B&B. In fact, I already did.

This B&B exceeded our expectations. The location is to the east of the main part of the city but there is a bus stop less than two blocks. Also, if you don't mind walking it is about a 10 to 15 min walk to the Ufizzi Gallery. The facilities are clean and newer then some other places we stayed at in Italy. They have a common area which has a small fridge, microwave, and a electric kettle. Enrico, who runs the place, was very nice and helpful about getting around. If we ever go back to Florence we will definitely stay there again!

This B&B is located near the old center of Florence (~10 min by foot). The owner of the B&B lives upstairs, so you can call him anytime. He's very helpful, makes good offers, excellent recommendations. The B&B has a terrace and a supermarket nearby. You can get access to the local WiFi.

Cimabue 9 was amazing, we'll certainly be back! Our room was clean, spacious, and quiet- which is hard to find in Florence. The b&b was a short, beautiful walk to all the main attractions in Florence which made getting around the city easy. In addition to the large and clean accommodations, we received outstanding service from the time we arrived in Florence from the owner of Cimabue 9, Enrico. As soon as we got there he gave us a map and directions to all the areas of interest throughout the city along with terrific restaurant recommendations and fun things to do during our stay in Florence. Instead of just handing us our keys, Enrico made us feel at home in a city that we couldn't even speak the language. To top it all off, when we were leaving- he was kind enough to drop us off at the train station because there were no taxis available! I work in hospitality and take it from me, Enrico will go above and beyond your expectations to ensure that you have a nice stay. I definitely recommend staying here if you have the opportunity to.

Having never stayed at a B&B before but yet wanting to extend our European vacation after coming off a cruise, we thought the B&B circuit would be the way to go that would allow us to do that. What a gem both this B&B and Enrico turned out to be. He was so helpful in coming out to meet us at 11:30 p.m. on a Saturday night, carrying our luggage upstairs, recommending restaurants, securing us a Tuscany Wine Tour by bus, bus transportation, etc. The breakfast portion is in a little cafe downstairs that mkaes delicious cappacino. The B&B is about a 12 minute walk to the Uffizi, and is located in a REAL residential area with decent priced restaurants selling litres of house wine at 8E, yet quite close to some very expensive chi-chi hotels. It is about 4 blocks from the river and once you saunter down there, I swear you will fall in love with Florence..... Thank you Enrico for everything. You hospitality helped make our stay in Florence something truly special. Arlene & Dan, Montreal, Canada

We have been to other B&B in Florence before and can say that we found this one to be the best;spacious, bright and renovated in authentic style, reasonably close to the city and museums, and most helpful and friendly staff.Enrico made us feel at home immediately. During our 4 nights stay, despite the rainy weather (the most rainy weather in Florence from 50 years!), we appreciated very much the kindness of Henrico and its family and the sustainable efforts to ensure all what we need (umbrellas, maps, web check-in and other nice services). I strongly recommend this location to young or mature couples, without children.

Wonderful, beautiful apartment! Very clean. Particularly the ceiling and the beds was struck us. The most beautiful during our stay in Italy. The interior was really refined. Very caring and friendly owners, who value the opinion of their guests. Nice italian breakfast in the authentic cafe. We hope that once again we return to these luxurious apartments, only without the kids:) I will recommend it to all my friends and acquaintances.

The place was nice - old building with high rooms in good style and perfectly clean - our room was even with terasse. henrico was very friendly and didn't even complain that we waked him up early on easter monday. we liked to have our breakfast - cappucino and croissant - in the bar below. you could walk to the center or take the bus (no 14). the only disadvantage - the traffic was rather loud.

Enrico, our host, was utterly helpful, genuine, friendly - couldn't do enough - absolutely great. Good location, not far from the centre. Breakfast was the only thing that didn't do much - a croissant and coffee, with a surly patron - but the rest was fine.

Favourite B&B/Hotel in the whole trip. Feels underpriced for what it offers inside but on noisy street so earplugs compulsory. Very helpful and knowledgeable host. Helped me book all museums for free. Away from centre but can be walked on foot for 15 min. Bus nearby. Will come back anytime with pleasure.
