I really enjoyed my stay here in Fiumicino. The Bed and Breakfast was excellent to stay at and off the beaten track. The fishing boats and fishermen and bridges that tilt up were just great and just outside the window. The taxi from the airport cost 25E but the local bus back to the airport was 1E (ticket from little magazine stall in the street). Even the ATM in the street was good for cash from my Kiwibank debit card! One thing I find with European buildings being of concrete and tiles the voices of people seem amplified, especially at night. Quite a lot pf stairs to negotiate with heavy bags. Ciao.

The single bedside lamp's 2-pin plug had only one pin. The TV appeared to have no functioning channels. The advertised wireless LAN could not be connected to and I'm a professional network management software engineer. Breakfast was a joke. We went outside to eat. For €80 this was a total rip-off. Can't really recommend it at that price.

Short of hot water in the afternoon. It is easy to get to Ostia by local bus for 1 euro. A transfer takes you to Ostia Antica. There is a direct bus back to Fiumincino just up the steet from O.A. I is much cheaper to go to Ostia to get a train to Rome than to go to the airport. Also, a 1 euro bus ride to the hotel is available from the airport; the taxi wanted 25 euros.

We stayed here because we had a flight out of Rome early the next morning. There seemed to be no one else staying at this B&B. Our chief complaints were noise & breakfast. At about 11pm, the owners began a hammering project in the hallway outside our rooms. If that wasn't enough, there was so much noise from the street that staying asleep was impossible. Because of our early departure, we needed to eat breakfast right at the start of the breakfast window (7am). However, the woman who prepares breakfast could not get the owners to answer their door at a little before 7am. She pounded on their door a good while and finally got them to answer. And then the breakfast ended up being the worst we'd had during our nearly two weeks in Italy. On the up side, the B&B is a quick drive to the airport, and the location is decent enough (near the water). We ate dinner at a very nice restaurant close to the B&B.

A unique property close to Rome's Fiumicino Airport for our return flight to Australia. We had great views of Fiumicino village and marina from our room's rooftop balcony. There were many stairs to negotiate, so not a property for anyone with a physical disability. Good service included a transfer to the airport in the morning. The advertised free Internet connection was available but erratic/dropping out during our stay.

We booked a triple room at the Torre Clementina in order to catch an early flight. We did not expect much of a place so close to the airport and were delighted with the huge triple room opening onto a terrace with views of the river and marina. A pity we did not have time to use the jacuzzi! Common areas are also spacious and have pleasantly old-fashioned furnishings. There are plenty of restaurants near by. The staff agreed to serve us breakfast half an hour before the official starting time. Only one small hitch: the hot water took a VERY long time to reach the shower.

The shuttle service was excellent - after our plane was delayed and we got into Rome at 11:30pm they still came and picked us up from the airport - we were truely grateful. Great place to stay close to the airport.

The room was fabulous, with a huge bathroom (and a jetted tub) and a very large deck overlooking the harbour. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and we really appreciated the free use of internet. There wasn't much to do in Fiumicino, but our only real reason to be there was to be close to the airport so we could catch a very early morning flight, and the hotel was perfect for this. The staff booked a cab for us and the driver was there right on time - the fare was only 15 euros. We would definitely recommend the Torre Clementina for anyone who had an early flight.

Location was great--by the marina--lots of restaurants around. Room-#5-was very spacious and bathroom had a jacuzzi and was huge. Shuttle from the airport was 10 euros not 5 but don't know if that was because there was 2 of us. Some of the staff do not speak English so be sure to confirm taxi arrangements/check out ahead of time. Nice balconies-one attached to our room and one off the kitchen--to have breakfast or hang out. Room was air-conditioned. As we had an early morning flight took a taxi to the airport--cost 25 euros. Local bus access to Ostia Antica and the Lido.

Clean, tidy and quiet accomodation. It was important to us to have an airport shuttle service but were told in evening before departure that they could not supply this so early on a Sunday morning--8.30!They booked a taxi for us but that was 4times the shuttle price. However it did arrive on time which was the main thing. Shower was smallish but the right-angled doors on it were only meant for very slim people to get through! There was no hot water in the morning. Breakfast was very basic but sufficient. We were welcomed by a boy who neither understood nor spoke English. Later in evening the person on duty did. Overall it was ok. I think the cleanliness of corridors and room brings the points up, cannot fault them there!

The B&B is located two flights up (no elevator/lift). Might be a problem for some visitors.

Very discreet location, and in some ways unobtrusive, but it was probably better for that. The area is full of good restaurants and it seems that the locals come out in force to patronise them - therefore the quality and cost of the food speaks for itself.

The Torre Clementina B&B was a decent place to stay. The remodel is mostly complete, though note that the rooms are on the 3rd floor, so you'll have to lug your bags up two flights of stairs. We chose it because of its airport shuttle and convenient location to Leonardo da Vinci airport. HOWEVER, we did not know by the information provided on their website or on Venere that the shuttle started at 9 AM (no good when we had to leave at 5:30 AM to get to the airport - Taxis cost us between 15 and 20 euro), breakfast at 7 AM (again, no good for us), and few employees spoke English. Fiumicino, being off the beaten tourist path, does not cater like Rome to English-speakers. With restaurants being closed for dinner on Monday, we had to resort to pantomining and pidgeon Italian to get food at a little street-side cafe. Overall, it was an interesting experience, but we'll stay in Rome and take the Express in if we have similar travel arrangments in the future.

They didn't have the triple room available when we arrived, but they moved us into an apartment which was probably better. we were only there for one night but the place itself was nice. as far as location, we chose it because it is near the airport and we arrived late night, but otherwise i didn't like the location.

The lack of english for the pick up was a bit of a problem but eventually we got there. The rooms were adequate but not as shown on the website. We got 2 small singles and all other pictures show kinge size beds. But the family were freindly and helped as best they could

Room was clean and nice. I chose Torre Clementina due to closeness to airport since we had early morning flight. Cannot use shuttle before 9 am. Taxi was 20 euros each way. Staff was helpful in getting taxi for 4:30 am.

First time at this hotel;situated in front of the Tiber where it meets the sea. Nice boardwalk along it to take walks. Hotel is not easy to find and not well enough visually indicated. We had to go to the drugstore nearby to get help to find it. There are two long flights of step to get to the actual hotel reception/rooms so not recommended for those with heavy luggages. It looks like there are thieves around as the front door looks like a vault door and all windows are heavily locked so dont leave anything visible in your car. However, we never felt threathened in any way. You can park free in the front parking alongside the pier/boardwalk and it is 15 min. max to the Fiumicino airport. Although close, airliners don't seem to fly overhead so there was no jetliners noise while we were there. Several restaurants nearby at very reasonable price and a cafe nearby. Very good continental breakfast included in a familial kitchen surrounding..quite nice. Its closeness to the airport makes it ideal when you have, as we did, to return your car before flying back home.

This is not a place I would stay again. The hallway and common areas reeked of cigarette smoke. We could hear doors opening and closing late and very early. The breakfast pastries were packaged despite a kitchen area for cooking and a bar a few steps out the front door that had a fresh assortment. The shuttle price was double what the web page said. The phone number in the confirmation email was wrong (or just wasn't answered for an hour) when we needed the shuttle.
