Yonca Lodge - Fethiye

After a few nights stay at another very disappointing hotel, I rebooked our trip at Yonca Lodge for the rest of the trip. We were so relieved and delighted at the accommodations at Yonca Lodge - and so glad our holiday was saved! The grounds, staff, ambiance, restaurant, location and rooms were perfect. We were looking for a comfortable, quaint, special place that was unique - not sterile, fancy and polished. We enjoyed relaxing on the beach in the peaceful surroundings (with a few friendly chickens) and a perfect country feel. The staff was very helpful and spoke enough English for smooth exchanges. We enjoyed discovering new food dishes on the restaurant's set dinner menu and the Turkish breakfast buffet provided a nice, healthy variety. Like some of the reviews I had read before, I will note you can periodically hear some louder parties in the neighboring hotel (music and announcements) but it didn't affect my sleep and didn't last long when I did hear it. Everything was kept keep clean and orderly and you can tell there is a lot of pride in ownership and the staff. There were several thoughtful items on the grounds to offer opportunities for relaxation or activities. The location was away from the busy part of Fethiye and an easy drive to the amazing Saklikent Gorge. I would recommend this hotel to others and return on any future trips.
