Bed and Breakfast Dimora Donna Lucrezia - Pezze di Greco, Fasano

Francesco and his sister Anna were wonderful and we would have liked to have been able to stay with them more than just one night in their newly renuvated historic home (85 years old, I think Francesco told us.) The room we were given was very comfortable, though a bit small, but the beautifully tiled bathroom was very spacious. We loved how they had left the old domed ceiling stones and other elements of the original house visible in the bedroom after the remodeling. The grounds and sparkling swimming pool were beautiful from every viewpoint, and the old olive trees surrounding the home ("dimora" means "residence") only added to the feeling of privacy and seclusion, while actually being close to the main road and easy to find with the directions provided. Francesco also gave us a recommendation for an excellent restuarant in the vicinity which offered a vast and varied menu of well-prepared local food. The location of Dimora Donna Lucrezia was perfect for visiting the trulli in the Alborobello area, as well as several other interesting and quaint hill towns in that scenic part of southern Italy.
