Located 30 mins away from Cortona, so be aware you need a drive to go out for dinner in the city center. Beautiful surroundings, very nice breakfast buffet. No refrigerator in the room, nor possibility to cool your own drinks. The dogs are very present, which we didn't mind at all, but it might be difficult if you are allergic and/or afraid from dogs.

Heaven on earth, beautful place to stay, tastefully furnished by a talented lady who runs it. We booked a room for an overnight stay and wished we could have stayed longer.

We had a lovely stay at Casa Bellavista. The directions provided were exactly right and we had no trouble finding it. The house is on a gorgeous property with fantastic views in every direction. Unfortunately it was too cold for us to use the pool, but it looked very enticing! The host is wonderful and she provided us with directions and maps and ideas of places to visit nearby. We would definitely go back!

This was the last stop on our Italian holiday tour of major cities and it was just the lovely sort of Tuscan holiday stay we needed. We took a cooking class and relaxed in our out Tuscan villa. The only draw back to the out of the way location was the need for a car (but you can pay the owners to take you into and back from town).

The pictures on the website do not do Casa Bellavista justice. It is much more beautiful in person. The rooms are very spacious, clean and well appointed. Clean bathrooms with all updated fixtures. We were two couples visiting Tuscany for the first time and we found the location to be ideal (never more than a one hour drive to any interesting village or city). Furthermore, Guido and Simonetta are outstanding hosts. Breakfast was wonderful every day although the water tasted a bit funny to me (tap, coffee and tea) so I preferred bottled water while there. You MUST reserve an evening to dine at Casa Bellavista with a wonderful home cooked meal by Simonetta. She is an amazing cook and likes to use herbs and veggies grown in their own garden. She is so gracious, she will even make recipes available to you. We were very pleased with our stay at Casa Bellavista and would absolutely return. It is helpful to have a GPS system while in this area as some roads are not well marked and it is easy to get lost.

Though our expectations were high, Casa Bellavista still exceeded them at every turn. Simonetta is a wonderful chef, and a gracious hostess. Dinner here is a must! Her menus contain authentic "antique" Italian dishes you won't find in restaurants. We loved Guido's presentation and explanation of the various dishes. The attention to details make this entire property something special. The grounds (gardens really) are amazing, and the views breathtaking. Use the GPS coordinates, find this beautiful jewel, and you will love it as much as we did. (Hint...ask Guido where he grew up!)

The owners, Simonetta and Guido, are the consummate bed and breakfast hosts. They set the gold standard for running a Tuscan B and B -- they are friendly, warm, efficient, with wonderful insights about the surroundings, towns, restaurants, side trips and history. The accomodations and service are superb and Simonetta is a stellar cook featuring both Tuscan specialties and her own. We took home her recipe for liver pate and bruschetta which was to die for. We were cyclists and spent five days cycling in the area and two days touring by car. Simonetta was extraordinarily helpful in discussing routes and places to see. The setting of Casa Bellavista is gorgeous, perched atop a ridge from which there are dramatic views of Cortona (about 15 kilometers away)and the Tuscan countryside. We will absolutely return and give Casa Bellavista our highest and unqualified endorsement. This is the place to stay if you're looking for a B and B near Cortona.

We drove a scooter to Cortona up in the hill. It was fascinating. You can get a scooter from Casa Bellavista. Casa Bellavista reminds you of a movie 'under the Tuscan sun.'

Casa Bellavista is a lovely property, and the owners Simonetta and Guido are gracious and generous hosts. We very much enjoyed a beautiful homemade meal cooked by Simonetta, flavourful, fresh and utterly delicious. The B&B is set in the rolling hills near Cortona; very serene and scenic. Our only complaint is that the directions to the B&B were utterly senseless. We got hopelessly lost and would never have found the house if we had not stopped in at a little bar and found someone there who knew the location. If you go by car, make sure you get directions with actual landmarks or ask the owners to meet you somewhere you are clear about. We never saw road signs marked as indicated on the website. Other than this inconvenience, our stay at Casa Bellavista was tranquil and very enjoyable.

Casa Bellavista is the place to be for enjoying a Tuscan holiday. Simonetta and Guido are the perfect hosts. Their hospitality is fantastic and the services and recommendations they provide are excellent. You must have them prepare dinner, and for the more adventurous, a cooking lesson. The location is ideal, only a few kilometers from the autostrade and superstrade. From there Montepulciano, Montalcino, San Gimignano, Sienna are all within a very easy drive. Of course Cortona is very nearby as well.

I can't say enough great things about our stay at this beautiful property. It is just close enough to Cortona, and several other beautiful villages, but is in a gorgeous and serene setting. The views from this property are stunning (and panoramic). Simonetta and her husband could not have been better hosts. She is an amazing cook and we enjoyed a gourmet dinner of several courses, including a delicious stuffed chicken breast dish that had been a favorite of Catherine d' Medici). The rooms are beautifully appointed and are very spacious. And, the balcony we had from our room offered incredible views. Stay here, you won't be disappointed!

What a welcome relief it was to stay at Casa Bellavista. Simonette and her husband were wonderful hosts and their property is everything you imagine when you picture Tuscany. Cortona was close by (a car is needed) yet I would have happily stayed at Bellavista for several days. The food was excellent and we look forward to returning.

Casa Bellavista certainly is a find! We have already recommended it to several friends. The friendly welcome and quality of the accommodation and service made this a very special holiday. The crowning glory was the meal cooked by Simonetta and served by Guido in their beautiful dining room. The meal was endless courses of excellently cooked and presented Tuscan dishes washed down with a superb Chianti. The peace of the surroudings and the attention to detail combined with the position of Bella vista so near to the A1 made it an excellent holiday base.

Casa Bellavista was a fabulous find. Simonetta and her husband were very gracious hosts. The property and our bedroom was beautiful, with a wonderful view from our balcony. A fabulous place to stay in Tuscany! We also enjoyed the dinner that Simonetta cooked for us. I highly recommend Casa Bellavista - We will definitely stay there again. It was the best bed and breakfast establishment we stayed in on our two week holiday to Italy.
