Historical place,where you can relax or water sports and other activities.
All this you can find in Constancia. Try here the portuguese vines and, of course, the warm welcome of portuguese People. This is a charming house of the XIX century, converted in a family hotel since 1993.Casa Joao Chagas will be a non-smoking property from 1st January 2008.

There are seven rooms, all with private toilette and shower, radio, direct phone, TV and air conditioning.
Simply and practical furniture, including iron beds, turn-on and out the ligths from the bed The two rooms on the first floor have balcony over the historical main square.
Each room is identified by a name linked to the history of Constância: First floor: 'João Chagas' with balcony looking the square 'Constância' with balcony looking the square and window looking the Zezere River.
Second Floor: 'Tejo', similar to 'João Chagas'. 'Lusiadas', similar to Constância.

When you arrive at the Lisbon or Oporto Airport, and rent a car, please follow the Fast way (Auto-Estrada) Lisboa-Porto (A 1) After 110 KM, follow the direction Abrantes, pay the tall.
You are at the A 23 (former IP6) Road.
Keep driving more 30 km and get out in Constancia Norte.
Keep driving towards Constancia, pass by GALP Petrol Station (on your right), and turn the first left.
Drive till the Praça Alexandre Herculano (Square). In front of you will see Casa João Chagas.
