Bed and Breakfast Casa Guercio - Cefalù

Very pleasant place, so to get there by small pathes is not for evryone

We stayed one night in the room with shared bathroom but since we were the only guests, we had the whole apartment (living room, kitchen) for us. Very clean room and bathroom with well functioning heating. Breakfast prepared by the friendly owner in the apartment is according to Italian standards. The house is beautifully located in the hills with view on Cefalu. Easy to reach. Highly recommended for price/quality

Vue exceptionnelle dans un lieu tranquille, éloigné des services mais facile à trouver si on suit les indications fournies. Notre chambre et les pièces mises à notre disposition étaient très propres et fonctionnellss.

Our (my wife, a friend, and myself) 4 night stay was fantastic at this family run B&B. The owner, who lives onsite, was extremely friendly, gracious and helpful. Breakfast was terrific with fresh figs, grapes from the property, pastries, and coffee any way you wanted. The B&B location was perfect for those willing to get away from it all.......quiet and with beautiful views of Cefalu from above which we took advantage of as we ate breakfast each morning. The house is newly renovated with all the modern conviences. When we return, we will surely stay at Casa Guercio!

La casa e' sulle alture di Cefalu', e il panorama da li specialmente al mattino e al tramonto e' mozzafiato. Maurizio, il proprietario, e' molto gentile e disponibile. Consigliata assolutamente se viaggiate in auto (perche' dovete fare qualche kilometro di strada di montagna, ma arrivati su ne vale davvero la pena). La casa e' grande, si ha un'intero piano a disposizione. Pulitissima.

2days in a very quiet location, some thing like "the end of the world", a little difficult to reach through a 4Km small mountain road, but the information supplied on the web site are very precises and efficient. Large room and good service. Great view. M.Guercio is reserved but speaks a fluently english.

The B&B is located in a big house with a view of the sea. The room is huge, *very* clean (couldn't find a a remote trace of dust!), with minimal, but all the necessary furniture. Bathroom is also great (pretty good size, great shower, and of course, clean). Our host isn't very talkative, but very nice and attentive. He set up breakfast for us outside on the terrasse so we can eat under the sun. The only non-positive thing (not necessarily negative) is that the house is in a small... well it's not even a city... you take the main road coming out (and in) of Cefalu, and there's a small sign indicating the name of the "town". You have to drive on a narrow road for what seems forever, with no idea if you are going in the right direction. But the B&B itself if perfectly fine in itself.

Very nice guy, nice breakfast. Fresh figues & grapes. Bit high price for the off-season (found out later with other B&B). Other visitors told me they paid less, why???

Excellent accomodation! Be aware, the accomodation is 7 km far from Cefalu at the hillside, you can go there only by car! But the landlord speaks english and really helpful, breakfast and room were perfect. The surrounding is fabulous. Only bad thing is that you can hear during night the neighbour room (door openings, bathroom, talking).

A very picturesque B&B, a congenial host, and very comfortable and modern accommodations. Breakfast was delicious and served in an old-world setting. Spectacular!

.Maurizio was very welcoming, our plane was very late and we arrived at midnight, and yet he pretended he didn't mind!!! The view from the terrace is GRAND. The only thing that could be a problem is that - which I didn't understand from the description- the rooms are part of an apartment and that to get to the bathroom you have to go through the communal parts, I am sure we would have disturbed other guests with our late arrival, fortunately we were alone

Das Haus liegt abseits, wir mussten lange suchen. Aber wir wurden belohnt mit Ruhe und einem traumhaften Blick. Es war wunderschön und wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen. Schade, dass wir nur eine Nacht gebucht haben. Auch haben wir kein besseres Frühstück genossen.

We had a fabulous holiday - the views of Cefalu and the Mediterranean from the terrace where we had breakfast were breathtaking, and the fresh figs, grapes and plums picked from the garden every morning were delicious. Marrizzio was an excellent host, nothing was too much trouble for him and he provided guidebooks of the area. I would go back and stay here any time and will be recommending it to my friends!

Rooms have been redone since the pictures. 3 of us stayed and we loved it!! The directions were great as we managed to get there in the dark. I am a new fan of cafe latte. Thank you Maurizio.

Me dejé aconsejar por la opinión de otras personas que habían estado. Y ha sido un acierto, un lugar inolvidable, para volver más veces. Mauricio es encantador, la casa está impecable y el lugar tiene unas vistas estupendas. Un remanso de paz para amantes de la naturaleza.

Un sitio precioso y muy apacible. Nos costó encontrarlo porque las indicaciones no son del todo buenas, pero el Sr. Guercio nos guió. Trato muy amable. Lo recomiendo.

Wunderschön gelegenes B&B. Die Aussicht ist grandios. Dafür muss man allerdings 4 km schmale Strasse in Kauf nehmen - aber das ist ja auf Sizilien keine Seltenheit. Die Zimmer sind einfach aber sehr sauber.

A brilliant find - Mauricio is sharp, responsive, & knows the area (he spent his childhood there!!)House is in a delightful part of old Cefalu, very well equipped, super clean. You are at home !!

This place was quite a find. It was waaayy up on the top of a hill backed up to a national park. The views were fabulous. The room turned out to be a spacious apartment with 3 bedrooms. The house was surrounded by gorgeous fruit trees. If you have a car,it's a great place. I'm sure the quoted price might be different if you indicate that you will be using the whole place. It was just two of us....best to check.

Overall excellent - quietness, nature and a splendid view. Car is precondition. Apartment & kitchen are completely equipped, and figs are falling directly from the tree on the breakfast table... An ideal and most welcoming place to explore the island. Thanks, Maurizio!

Lovely accomodation high in the hills above Cefalu. The owner is extremely welcoming and made a delicious breakfast each morning of our stay. If we had any complaint at all it would only be our own preference for an en-suite bathroom - other than this we had a tremendous holiday.

We visited 5 B&B in Sicily. Comparing them the relationschip between price/quality=breakfast is rather poor. The road to Casa Guercio is very narrow (4km) and difficult to drive with a big car. The view is splendid!

Very difficult to find.kitchen and public areas shared with adjoining room(rent to someone else). Overall price exagerate for the location and inconvenient.

Nice view. Small road to arrive to the B&B. Necessary to have a car. Not too far from Cefalu.

The property is in a beautiful place, I would suggest that some of the walks in the surrounding area could be a little clearer. perhaps the house could keep some maps as it's very difficult to find paths. The property is great but I would say better suited to a group than couples as there isn't a lot of privacy, you are sharing a house with other people.

A basic but clean and convenient base for exploring the island. Tranquil setting overlooking sea. You will need a car to visit Cefalu (10 mins drive).

This "hotel" is actually someone's house up in the hills outside Cefalu. The owner lives and works in one part of the house, and the other part contains a living room, kitchen, and several bedrooms. The owner was extremely pleasant and actually drove into town to show us the way to the hotel. He also made us breakfast in the morning. If you don't mind staying in a no-frills bedroom well outside of Cefalu, this is a steal. You also get an incredible view and satellite TV.
