Bed and Breakfast Solsicily - Catania

Number of stairs a real challenge, and locked doors and absence of lighting when entering lobby made access somewhat difficult. The room was OK but the noise from the toilet pump very intrusive. Breakfast was a free for all with cereal packets, bread, etc dumped on the table whilst proprieters sat and used computers. More of a back packer experience than what we had expected for the money. We did not find the area at all threatening but it was nearer bus station than it was to the main sights.

The owners of Solsicily were very helpful during our stay in Catania and our room was fine. It's true that the street where the B&B is located is in a bit of a strange area: it's in the center of the city but this street and a few others nearby are not in good condition. But don't worry, the main streets you need to walk along are fine, just avoid the dark alleys.

Very spacious bedrooms. No lift to go up to the 3rd floor, so you have to carry your suitcases all the way up, but it's feasible.

Christian and his lovely family treated us very well and were very helpful. Area is a bit dodgy and we weren't brave enough to go out at night time, but our room was big, airy and clean.

Kind peoples,nice room,bathroom. Sympatic breakfast. Peoples are very helpful with everything.

Good value - basic accomodation, good location - very friendly b&b, location is good though near red light area. owners very helpful - gave very good recomndation re restaurant, good breakfast. originally booked one night but stayed a second night. excellent shower too.

Wonderful people and wonderful room, but similar to cost of a hotel! Local knowledge and homliness an advantage - very welcoming family.

Perfect place to stay, rooms very big, owner very nice and breakfast really nice!!! We recommend this place to all people going to Catania!!

While on the fifth floor, it may not be a good place for some one older with health problems.

The helpful and very kind host and hostess was the best thing and of course the personality of Solsicily. The hotel was near the busstation and harbour.

Convenient location, stylish interior design with the space available, no ham & eggs for breakfast but have nice hot grilled bread, juice, conflicks etc. Owners are very friendly and helpful and they have a super cute fat dog and a lovely babygirl.
