All of these characteristic, apart from the typical family reception, make the B&B PICONE the best place for a tourist or business holiday, especially for visitors which arrive in Catania by train or by aerial, because in the moment of the reception could take advantage from taxies parked nearby the station. While for visitors which like travel by car, they could find lots of very big car-parks.

Wonderful owner! We stayed there in July of 2009 and had a wonderful time in Catania. We went on a tour of Mt. Etna that the owner organized for us. He even had breakfast with us one morning and had us taste delicious sicilian almond milk. Very generous and kind, had great conversations with him and learned all about Sicily. Highly recommended!

We stayed in Catania for 4 days. We found ourselves very good at the Picone bed and breakfast, the owner was very friendly and helpfull. The bed n bfast is situated in a very central area, 2 corners away from the market and few steps away from Via Etnea. Just perfect!

Fantastic place to stay, million thanks to host Michele who was fantastic and very helpful, especially when giving us a lift to the airport at 5AM. Rooms are very clean, air conditioned and quiet. It's 5 minutes walk from all attractions and 2 min from Via Santa Filomena, packed with restaurants and bars at night. Highly recommended. Grazie Michele !!! Margit&Pawel, Budapest, Hungary

We were surprised to see that everything was as pictured on the website! It is a couple of blocks from the main pedestrian avenue and a block from a large open air market. The host was great and the breakfast coupon to a local restaurant was better than eating in, at your option. It cost us around 20 Euros to get there from the airport, and it is a little too far to walk to the train station. Very friendly host and wonderful mother, beautiful rooms , very accommodating.

It has been a pleasant stay with excellent welcoming, friendliness of Michele (the owner of B&B). The property is right in the centre of activity and close to the railway station and not far away from the airport. We stayed 2 days and both of the days we had to get out early to see places...Michele ensured that we get proper breakfast at 6:30am on both the days. I would recommend the property and would like to stay again in my next visit.

How to reach Picone Bed and Breakfast
By carComing from the Messina-Catania highway, take the connection "Catania - San Gregorio" and then "Catania" (instead, coming from the “Tangential of Catania”, take the exit "Catania Center"); proceed for about 5 Km up to the exit of the connection (this is Vincenzo Giuffrida Street), always proceed straightaway (about 1,6 Km) up to Umberto I Street, here turn to the right up to the N.104 (about 300 mtrs,)
By train
Just in front of the Catania Railway Station, take the bus [1-4], go down in Etnea Street - Bellini Garden and go through feet Umberto Street for about 300 mtrs up to the N.104.
By airplane
Take the bus [457], and get off bus stop "Villa Bellini then goes straight on Via Umberto I n.104 to where there is a B / B Picone!)
By public transportation
