In walking distance to the historical centre of Catania (10 minutes to Piazza Duomo), but on the border with now delapidated part of the city around the port. The building was adapted from a somtimes rich house of some rich man. The marble staircase is missing the elevator in it!s centre, so the location of the rooms at the 2nd and 3rd floor (not counting the ground floor) may cause problem to people who hate stares. Friendly staff, quiet, spacious and cleen rooms. Parking is offered at 10€/day accross the intersection

Excellent service of the staff. We needed help in buying clothes and other items because our luggage did not arrive (ALITALIA NOTORIUOS SERVICE). The reception clark -Agatha walked with us for 2.5 hrs. helping in the shops . We are greatful to Agatha and Marinella. The room was very spacious , clean and nice. The only disadvantage was the area. The hotel is located in a very poor neigborhood and strange to us. The people around were nice and trying to help,although lack of basic english- made it difficult.

The B&B De Curtis is on the first floor of a building that happens to be in the middle of a justly renovation. We hope that the restoration will not hasten guests away, because De Curtis is beautiful. We also hope that the restoration will contain the realisation of a lift.....
