The room we stayed in was almost like a suite with a separate sitting area with sofa, TV and table/chairs downstairs and bedroom/bathroom on a mezzanine floor. Plenty of room and good value. Really close to the castle - one of Catania's attractions. The Bellini B & B is actually listed as part of a walking tour as the whole building was a former palace. The building is now divided into private apartments, so it was a bonus to be able to see inside the building - as the normal tourist wouldn't be able to do this. There is no parking and we couldn't see a pay-car park but you can park in the street for free.

There were a cat in the property but previously there were not any information indicating animals were permited. Bed and pillows very bad, not comfortable for sleeping. No place in bathroom for neither towels nor clothes, and there were not shelves for toilette products. Noisy rooms from street.

This is a home-stay B&B with 2 triple rooms, while the hostess lives in the mezzanine upstairs, and arranges everything in and outside the house. The rooms are interesting decorated, depending on different tastes, some people may like it, others may find it a bit wierd... It has a good location near Duomo and historical center, but a bit far from train station. ps: breakfast was poor, only some bread with jams and coffee, far from satisfactory.

B&B Bellini was difficult to find as there was no sign or listing on the doorbell. Very hospitable host, lovely and simple breakfast. Great location, very close to fish/food market and main square and via Etnea. We had 2 rooms and while 1 was great (although the bathroom was not adjoining and shower was difficult to use), the other was very small, bed was on the floor and the bathroom not very nice. Was a nice and homely place though, with very hospitable hosts.

How to reach B&B Bellini
By carFrom the A18 motorway, follow the airport direction, and exit at 'Catania centro-porto'.
From the A19 motorway, exit at 'Catania centro-porto'. Arrive in Piazza Borsellino, and follow signs to Via Plebiscito. Then take the 4th road on the right, via Grimaldi, and reach Castello Ursino Castle. Reach via S. Sebastiano, turn right into via Transito and right again into via Auteri. Ring at the Mirabella-Mirone bell.
By train
From the railway station take the bus 431 or 628. Reach Piazza Duomo, Via Garibaldi, Piazza Mazzini and Via Auteri. Ring at the Mirabella-Mirone bell.
By airplane
From airport, take the Alibus 457 and get off at the Piazza Borsellino stop. Reach Piazza Duomo, Via Garibaldi, Piazza Mazzini and Via Auteri.
