At BAD the traditional Catanese baroque style is combined with a modern style, creating a wonderful and unique atmosphere.

It is ideal for both business travelers and tourists thanks to its location in the very center of the city, close to both the harbor and the industrial area and the city’s most important monuments. The BAD hotel is just minutes away from the airport, and a bus stop located right in front of the building will transport guests anywhere in the city. The train station is also not far, and from there you will be able to reach other destinations in Sicily, such as Taormina, Messina and Syracuse.

The city has been inhabited since ancient times and its past cultural influences are evident when one visits the Roman amphitheater and the Odeon, which was built when the Greeks colonized the area.
However, the most iconic monument of the city can be found in the central Piazza del Duomo square, which is just a few minutes’ walk from the Hotel BAD. It is the famous Fountain of the Elephant, known to the Catanese as U Liotru. The Liotru is a monument built in the 18th century around a statue that depicts an elephant, which is considered the symbol of the city, which was in fact known as the City of the Elephant during the Arab domination.
If you want a taste of Sicilian culture (and food!) don’t miss out on the central fish market, which is held just a few minutes’ walk from the Hotel BAD. Lovers of nature and breathtaking sceneries can’t miss out on a visit to the remarkable Mount Etna. This huge active volcano, that overlooks the city from its incredible 3,340 meters (around 11,000 feet) of altitude, is home to a national park that you will be able to reach from the Hotel BAD in less than 20 minutes by car or public transport.
If you feel like getting a tan or taking a swim in the crystal clear waters of the Ionian Sea, several beaches are easily reached from the city center, the most notable being in the La Plaia area of the city. If you want to go on a day trip, you will be able to easily get to some of Sicily’s best spots. Don’t miss out on Syracuse, Taormina and Noto!

The rooms at Hotel BAD can accommodate up to three guests and all feature a private bathroom. Each guestroom is equipped with an LCD TV, a DVD player, a CD player, an air conditioning system and soundproof windows to ensure maximum quality of sleep. An apartment, which is 45 square meters large, is also available. It boasts a fully equipped kitchen, a private bathroom, and a large terrace from where you will be able to admire spectacular views of the Mount Etna.
