Amenano B&B is located less than 10 meters from Piazza Duomo (Cathedral Square) and Piazza Universita (University Square), Amenano B&B is in the heart of the baroque historical center of Catania. This historical center has always been considered as the jewel of Sicilian architecture and has been declared by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.

Is situated on the second floor of an elegant and historical building built in the 700's by a noble family. Therefore, the 'palazzo' itself is considered to be a building of historical and architectural value.
Nightlife, known as 'Movida Catanese' is located a few meters away from our B&B with a many 'Caffe Concerto' and other typical local coffee shops specializing in delicious local pastries, pubs, restaurants, sidewalk café's, tavola calda and many other popular meeting places. By day, one can visit the most important monuments that the city has to offer including the Duomo, the Greco-Roman Theatre, the Amenano Fountain, La Pescheria (a historical and folkloristic fish market) the historical Palazzo dell'Universita, Via Crociferi, Via Etnea (the main shopping street) and everything else that normally can be found in the heart of a City like Catania. All this and more (including the very large daily open-air market) are within walking distance of our B&B.
Amenano B&B is certainly the best located lodging place to suite and cater for every visitor's needs and for them to conveniently see all that the city of Catania has to offer. From its strategic and central location visitors can easily reach the beaches, the mountains (Mount Etna), the railway station, bus terminus, the seaport, airport - all of which can be reached in a short time even by public transport.

The only think is about noise , during the day because there were works in the building and in the evening because there is a pub close to the hotel(music until 2 a....

IF YOU ARRIVE BY CAR
From A18 CATANIA-MESSINA exit:
go to CATANIA CENTRO exit direction, you will arrive to VIA VINCENZO GIUFFRIDA, after the semaphore, go straight to VIA MONSIGNOR VENTIMIGLIA until PIAZZA MAIORANA, turn to right to VIA ANTONINO DI SAN GIULIANO, go straight until this road crosses the historical VIA ETNEA (this crossing is known as “I QUATTRO CANTI”), after this, before the slope, turn to left to VIA MANZONI, go straight for about a minute, you will be to VIA BICOCCA.

From A19 PALERMO-CATANIA exit:
when you arrive to CATANIA, follow the traffic signals to “FONTANAROSSA” airport and then to the “PORTO”. Continue to VIA CRISTOFORO COLOMBO until to PIAZZA BORSELLINO. Go under the “ARCHI DELLA MARINA”, go to the right to VIA DUSMET and then straight until PIAZZA DEI MARTIRI , continue to VIA FRANCESCO CRISPI, turn to left to VIA ANTONINO DI SAN GIULIANO, go straight until this road crosses the historical VIA ETNEA (this crossing is known as “I QUATTRO CANTI”), after this, before the slope, turn to left to VIA MANZONI, go straight for about a minute, you will be to VIA BICOCCA.

By train
IF YOU ARRIVE BY TRAIN
Outside the Central Station you will find the AMT (CATANIA COMPANY OF PUBLIC TRANSPORTS) bus parking. Buy the ticket on the AMT kiosk. Take any bus to VIA ANTONINO DI SAN GIULIANO direction. Get out of the bus where VIA ANTONINO DI SAN GIULIANO crosses the historical VIA ETNEA (this crossing is known as “I QUATTRO CANTI”). In about a minute by feet you will arrive to PIAZZA UNIVERSITA’. Ask for VIA BICOCCA which is very close.

By airplane
IF YOU ARRIVE BY AIRPORT
Outside the airport arrivals you will find the AMT (CATANIA COMPANY OF PUBLIC TRANSPORTS). Buy the ticket on the AMT kiosk . Take any bus to CATANIA direction and then get out to PIAZZA BORSELLINO stop which is about 7 minutes from the airport.
From this square, by feet, go under the “ARCHI DELLA MARINA” and then under “PORTA UZEDA”, you will be on PIAZZA DUOMO. To this point ask for VIA BICOCCA which is very close.

By public transportation
IF YOU ARRIVE BY BUS
When you arrive to PIAZZA PAPA GIOVANNI XXIII which is the last stop of SAIS, ETNATRASPORTI and AST bus companies, go to train station direction, in the same square you will find the AMT (CATANIA COMPANY OF PUBLIC TRANSPORTS) bus parking. Buy the ticket on the AMT kiosk. Take any bus to VIA ANTONINO DI SAN GIULIANO direction. Get out of the bus where VIA ANTONINO DI SAN GIULIANO crosses the historical VIA ETNEA (this crossing is known as “I QUATTRO CANTI”). In about a minute by feet you will arrive to PIAZZA UNIVERSITA', ask for VIA BICOCCA which is very close.
