Masseria Cesarina B&B in Castellana Grotte is immersed in amongst olive groves and fruit orchards in Castellana Grotte, Puglia near Bari and its historical centre, Ostuni, Alberobello in the heart of the Trulli’s and Zoo safari near Fasano.
The farmhouse has been recently renovated to a high standard and tastefully furnished retaining the character of the building with modern facilities of A/C, T/V, DVD & en-suite bathrooms ensuring your stay with us is as comfortable and tranquil as possible.
Masseria Cesarina Bed and Breakfast/Guesthouse comprises of 5 bedrooms (a former cheese room and living accommodation) with bidets and spacious shower cubicles. We have family rooms with king size beds & extra beds can be added on request 2 of our rooms are interconnecting cots are available on request linen and towels are included. The B&B is all on one level and it has wide doorways for wheelchair access and one bathroom for disabled visitors.
The open plan dining-room and kitchen (the former stables) is a public area with TV, WIFI Internet & DVD player. Tea & Coffee making facilities in the dining-room Breakfast can be served al fresco in the courtyard Guests are welcome to cook meals in the kitchen or have a BBQ in the English style garden with BBQ for guests rather than going out to restaurants or a swim in the pool.

We had a wonderful 3 days with Tony, Julia and Alex - they were extremely welcoming and helpful for our short stay and I'd be more than happy to stay with them again when I'm in the area

Had a superb stay with alex,julia and tony in july 2010 cannot fault it in any way.whether it was advice on were to eat,visit etc they were always there to help you.if you want a great b&b with a superb pool and great hosts this is the place.......carol and jimmy.

Actually on a scale of 1-10, this B&B is an 11. If you are going to visit Puglia, this is a wonderful place to stay. Julie, Tony and Alex are fabulous hosts. This B&B is about 2Km from Castellana Grotte, and is within an hour's drive from most of the attractions of southern Puglia. As you drive to the B&B you pass quaint Trulli, and then a small road that winds thru olive grove. The B&B has large soft bath towels, screens on the windows, and beautiful landscaped grounds, not to mention the swimming pool. There is an outdoor grilling area, and while we were there Tony and Alex were building a large Pergola over the outdoor patio. We would recommend this B&B to anyone who would like to visit Puglia. We plan on returning as our stay was delightful.

This was the best B&B experience in our travel history. The room was comfortable, spotless and spacious. This lovely property was designed with the needs of travellers in mind. Our hosts, Julia, Alex and Tony were very accommodating and helpful, assisting us with travel plans. A great value!

Alex, Julie and Tony were extremely hospitable throughout our stay; being English but also speaking Italian they were invaluable in liaising with local car hire, restaurants, etc, and were more than happy to do this. By the end of our trip we felt less like paying guests and more like cousins who had come to stay. The masseria has been renovated beautifully and, equally importantly, in a sympathetic way. The amount we paid was b&b but the experience we had was 5 star only more genuine. Oh and we made it just in time for the opening of their gorgeous new swimming pool. We'll be sending our friends and family.

Es un B&B abierto recientemente, han renovado completamente una casa solariega existente y añadido zonas de nueva construcción, todo perfectamente integrado. Evidentemente todas sus instalaciones son completamente nuevas. A destacar la amabilidad de los propietarios y la atención que nos prestaron en todo momento; muchas gracias a ambos.

THE GREEN ROOM

THE ORIGINAL FLOOR TILES HAVE BEEN KEPT IN THIS ROOM AND CAREFULLY RESTORED.

ALSO THE ORIGINAL CEILING LAMP HAS BEEN RESTORED AND HANGS WHERE IT HAS DONE SO FOR THE PAST YEARS.

A WARDROBE IN THE WALL HAS BEEN CREATED FROM THE EXISTING SPACE. WE HAVE RESTORED AND ADDED SOME OLD WOODEN DOORS WHICH WERE FOUND ON AN OUTBUILDING.

THE GARDEN ROOM ROOM

ALSO IN THIS ROOM WE HAVE RESTORED AND KEPT THE ORIGINAL FLOOR TILES. THESE ARE IN A LIBERTY STYLE AND ARE AROUND 80 YEARS OLD.

THE CEILING LAMP WAS LEFT ON THE PROPERTY SO WE HAVE RESTORED AND USED THIS.

AN ALCOVE IN THE WALL WAS FOUND DURING BUILDING WORKS AND HAS BEEN OPENED UP.

THE LIBERTY ROOM

ONCE AGAIN THE FLOOR TILES AND CEILING LAMP ARE ORIGINAL TO THE HOUSE.

A WARDROBE IN THE WALL HAS BEEN CREATED USING DOORS LEFT ON THE PROPERTY.

IN THE BEAUTIFUL BATHROOM AN ORIGINAL STONE WALL HAS BEEN EXPOSED.

THE CHEESE ROOM

IN ITS TIME, THIS MASSERIA PRODUCED AN ABUNDANCE OF CHEESES FROM ITS MANY LIVESTOCK. THIS ROOM AS ALL THE OTHERS HAS BEEN CAREFULLY RENOVATED CREATING A LARGE EN-SUITE BEDROOM.

THE STONE ROOM

OUR LARGEST BEDROOM, THE STONEWORK FOUND IN THIS ROOM UNDERNEATH THE PLASTER HAS BEEN CAREFULLY EXPOSED. THIS HAS CREATED A WONDERFUL ROOM WHICH WAS ORIGINALLY THE FARMHOUSE KITCHEN.
