Our stay at Casale Giancesare in early October was very nice, it is an old converted farm. The location was ideal for visting Paestum. Unfortunately we were only there one night, definitely recommended.

Enzo and Anna were very gracious hosts. The albergue is located on a hobby farm with a vinyard, figs, apricots and olives. The view is magnificent. There is a nice pool. The location is about 10 km from Paestum so you need a car or a taxi should cost 10 euros from the ruins/bus stop. Anna is a gourmet cook so the food is excellent. Enzo was nice enough to give us a rides to and from. There is a train or bus back to Napoli. Some basic knowledge of Italian would be helpful here. They sell olive oil, wine and marmalade made on the farm. Free internet. Overall a fun experience.

Couldn't find the place. It has NO ADDRESS!! Room was great (small apt) We were too tired to go out for dinner and the hostess accomodated us with an anti pasto and a dolce for 18 EU's. Breakfast was served by staff and was only adeqquate. The croisants were supermarket bought and stale, the breakfast let much to be desired. The pool was great and refresing after our long hot drive. The children of the owners (young adults) were very helpful.

The Casale Giancesare is a beautiful place. The rooms are lovely, the garden is very nicely flowered. We had a marvellous stay and we'll come back for sure if we are again in this aerea. I'll recommend this place to my friends.

The house and the garden is the best place to relax. But you need a car to reach Casale Giancesare.

Here is a very special place to relax between excursions to the beach, the Amalfi Coast, or the Greek and Roman ruins in Paestum. We enjoyed 3 restful, happy days here with the gracious help of our hosts. From a welcome glass of wine (from their own grapes) upon our evening arrival to having our bags hoisted over to our rental car they took care of every little thing. There were fine personal recommendations for local restaurants to suit our mood and the time of night, super-clean rooms, and a sparkling pool for playing around with our 3 college-age kids. Located up away from the more touristy area of Paestum this B&B offers a clear view of the ocean from our favorite resting spot, a west-facing veranda next to a spacious lawn. It's a small adventure finding the property, but the directions they sent us got us there on the first try. It is well worth the effort! The breakfasts were simple yet sufficient, with lots of fruit, breads, yogurt, and sometimes special treats, all with cappuccino, espresso or tea. One upstairs room we used had a skylite but no window. The other room had a terrific ocean view.

The house is very nice and Enzo and his family were great with us. They helped us finding good restaurants and other stuff. We had some troubles to find the place but it was worth it. The only bad thing was the noise due to some workings on the road, but that's temporary.

This is the most gorgeous family-run accomodation ever! The lovely arranged house, the nice shadowy garden and the perfectly clean pool with an overwhelming seaview will surely amaze you. Anna, Enzo, Antonino and Federica (as well as the pets) will instantly make you feel at home and even show you the best spots in the region - if you´re lucky ;) We had an unforgettable time and are looking forward to our next stay!

We were a group of 6 and stayed 1 night to see the Temples at Paestum. Our only disappointment was that we only stayed 1 night. We all wanted to stay a week. An excellant B&B. Highly recommended. Note: A car is needed to get to this B&B. We were tired after a long Drive from Sicily and when we got lost, Antonio drove to the gas station where we called from and led us to the B&B. Anna cooked us an unbelieveable dinner, and the dessert was even better. It is a working vineyard and their wine is outstanding!
