Good place to stay. San Telmo is about 6 blocks south of city center. Have been to B.A., I might recommend staying just north of the center. This hotel does a good job but it can get a bit loud at night. Nice breakfast on the roof, super friendly owners, and a good price. Keep in mind they do not accept credit cards but there is an ATM across the street.

Don't expect quietness in your room, you are at the heart of San Telmo. If you're travelling with big luggage be prepared to climb very steep stair. At the reception you will find someone after 8.30 am, therefore, if you arrive before you’ll wait outside until someone comes. Not signs outside that indicate the hotel.
