Bed and Breakfast La Piazzetta della Pioggia - Bologna

On the last morning we didn't get breakfast because it was easter sunday and the cafe where thebreakfast was offered was closed. It would have been nice if the staff would have told us about that before. Moreover the breakfast was actually included in the price. But otherwise everything was great.

We actually got a room inside the private apartment of the owner, and he made us understood clearly that access to the rest of the house was prohibited to us, so there was no public area available. The room assigned was actually the refurbished attic of the apartment, but we got no comforts for the inadequate architecture of the room. Lots of dust on the couch and the room was not done after our first night. To contact the owner the only possible way was to call him on the cellphone: ridiculous to force customers to spend extra money for any basic needs. For the poor facilities and the little attention to the customer I think we paid too much. Had the impression to deal with somebody trying to increase his own income rather than a professional hotel owner.

Warm welcome in spite of arrival late at night. Exactly what we needed for one night passing through Bologna. "Italian breakfast" equals coffee and sweet roll in nearby café, so bring more if you need a big breakfast.

The location was excellent, but there was no innkeeper on duty. We had to call his cellphone to gain access to our room - a wait of about 15 minutes. The breakfast part was virtually nonexistent. We were given calling cards to present to the bar next door for one cup of coffee and one roll.

This is a great place to stay if you want a basic room with all the essentials. My room was spotless and had all the basics. They also have a computer set up internet access in the public space which is great.

We stayed in tripple room. One of beds was too narrow and too short for 1.85m tall person. Otherwise we were satisfied with everything.

The owner didn't come to meet me even once. Breakfast was not served as promised. The room that I finally got was different from a promised one.

Stefano was great - when we arrived he met us, give us restaurant recommandations, and was very helpful. Excellent location close to the center of Bologna
