The double-bed room was very small, only about 40cm space around. It was really onlu suitable for single bed. The bathroom, which was very satisfactory, was almost as large as the bedroom.

Very nice family hotel, in a side street, so really quiet, the staff was realy helpful, the breakfast was better then in other hotels, it is very close to the city centre - less than 5 min. from Piazza Magiore, as we traveled a lot the distance from railway station was a bit inconvenient

Location was good for city centre. Three stars is misleading - two would be quite generous enough. The room was dismal in outlook with noisy air conditioning and questionable plumbing. In order to enjoy breakfast you need a sweet tooth. I would never stay here again.

Excellent hotel : Bus from airport dropped us off at a few steps from the hotel, located right in the center of Bologna, in a small very quite street. Hotel is very well kept. Excellent (US quality) bed, bathroom : everything in perfect order. I have been travelling a lot in my lafe and stayed in all types of hotels includeing the most expensive ones. I therfore can say : EXCELLENT

The hotel was very clean and the staff were helpful and friendly. The stairs would be a bit of a problem for some people, but no different from home, if you have to climb stairs. About 20 minutes walk from central station, but if you are getting a bus from the airport, ask to be dropped off at Via Ugi Bassi, and you are nearly there. Otherwise, get a taxi (about 10 euros) from the station. Very central and in close to great eating places.

Very well placed for exploring the beautiful historic centre of Bologna on foot. First floor room was quiet and spacious (with an enormous bed!) but a bit dark and gloomy - might be an advantage in the heat of summer ? Photos of the 'terrace with roof top views was' a bit misleading - only for those on the higher floors and only space for 2 or 3 people Overall, I would recommend this hotel

Lots of mirrors and flowers. Without a lift a bit hard to get luggage in. Staff helpful. Delicious pastries for breakfast! Handy to sights, shopping. Arrival instructions said to turn right (twice) and actually meant left, so we got lost getting there.

We had a very positive experience at the Hotel Due Torri. Very friendly and helpful staff, nice and clean good size double room with comfortable bed, nice shower. Very good beakfast in a warm and welcoming room. Excellent central location, in a walking distance to everything in the heart of Bologna. We regret staying only one night. We would recommend it to anybody travelling to Bologna for vacation or even business.

We stayed in Bologna for three nights. The hotel was small and nice, and we liked it there untill the last day. Chech out is a noon, so we were told in the booking, when we talked to the receptionist the night before leaving and in the hotelinformation that was in our room. When we were packing at around 11 the reception called up to our room and told us that we had to leave the room straight away because some new guest had arrived! And they actually told us we had to be out of the room immidiately otherwise we would have to pay for another night! That is unacceptable for a hotel that should be concerned about giving service. We found that the lady receptionist was rude when we were leaving and it was sad because the hotel was nice and a lot of the people working there was very servicemined.

My party and I arrived at the hotel around 22:00hrs and were made welcome. The rooms were better than advertised and the central location is excellent for the shops and main tourist attractions. The hotel does not have easy access for wheelchair bound persons and some rooms can be a bit noisy with passing traffic or, in one case, rain dripping on to a plastic roof sheet nearby. For those who are able, walk to San Luca for views over the city and to snow clad mountains in the distance. Climb the tower, visit the University quarter and take time to visit as many of the churches as you can and along your route, calling in for a coffee and snacks as you go. The city shuts down between 13:30 and 15:00 so plan to go back to the hotel for a rest then out again late afternoon for retail therapy. There are excellent restaurants close by and coffee shops in abundance. Ask the hotel staff and the locals to recommend restaurants - the food tastes superb and you won't have to walk far to find busy venues where the locals congregate. Most places seem to start serving around 19:30 and it is worth booking if you want to guarantee a table on a popular evening. A 3-course meal including a local wine was about €30 each. There is a McDonalds if you need it but in the home of good food it would be a shame to miss an opportunity to eat Italian. We had two days of good weather but with 48km of covered walkways, Bologne in the rain wouldn't be a problem. Parking a car on the streets of the city looks to be almost impossible but everything is within easy walking distance and the pace of life is relaxed. For those who choose to drive, the tall buildings and narrow streets may mean that you cannot rely on a satellite navigation system to help you find your way. The taxi from the airport costs €20 including a generous tip and the driving standards were high. The same bus trip is about €5 so if you have 3 in your group, the taxi is recommended. It helps to know the very basics of Italian

Extremely difficult to find by car - we nearly gave up and stayed somewhere else. parking is *not* guaranteed, costs extra and causes extra stress. trash trucks woke us up at 7 am after a late night arrival. did not try the breakfast cafe. triple room was ok but cigarette smoke seeped in from ventilation system. location of hotel is ideal for strolling around the city.

Excellent location & cosy hotel. Superb ice cream parlour with the best pistachio ice cream in the world(among all the other best in the world ice creams) in the end of the same street. Max 5 minute walk to to Piazza Maggiore. Rooms were tidy and spacious, breakfast cappucino very good. Easy to come from the airport by bus.

Yiou get what you pay for in Bologna. Excellent location but extremely hard to find by car. Don't arrive in Bologna at rushhour. You also have to pay to park and on street parking overnight is arranged via the hotel. It is also ina traffic control area so you have to pay (via the hotel) to drive in. Having said that it is a few eruos so not worth worrying about,. ourroom had a scarey fan which did work and air conditioning but it was a heartwave. You trade the rather okay nature of the hotel for the excellent location.

Ottimo albergo!

The only major criticism is the lack of parking - the website says that it is available, but the garage is a long way away, and the only alternative is to park in the street. The welcome that we received was extremely friendly, and we were offered a choice of rooms. All of the staff were extremely helpful, and knowledgable about the area. Breakfast was more than adequate, with a continuous supply of excellent coffee (What else should we expect in Italy?) Overall a most enjoyable few days.

This was a good choice of hotel for me as I was looking for a place that was not extortionate but was in the centre of old Bologna. I was delighted with the location, only a couple of minutes' walk from Piazza Maggiore, the main square of the old city. I had a single room which was very small and looked out onto a small inner courtyard. Despite the smallness of the room, it had all the usual facilities I needed (nice shower room, TV, fridge etc.) The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast time was also very civilised for those travellers who stay out late at night! Breakfast is from 7.30 a.m. to 10.30 a.m.

Room was neat but very small. It also overlooked a garage for another hotel so it was quite noisy with the metal door opening late at night and early in the morning. Breakfast was quite minimal. Staff were quite helpful and the hotel was very near to the centre so was handy for all the sites.

The two days we spent in Bologna were very hot; unfortunately, the air-conditioning unit in our room was ineffective in providing any degree of comfort. It was positioned badly and could not compensate for the ambient temperature throughout the hotel. It merely compounded the difficulty in sleeping by adding an incessant noise. However, this was the case in several other hotels in Italy during our three week trip during what was a heat wave. Overall, the hotel was about average for a three star rating but we have stayed in better two star rated hotels.

Nothing to detract from Hotel itself, room and bathroom rather small. They were supposedly having a problem with water to the hotel and were at first told we had a single room to be shared by me and my wife but they would give us a better room the next day. Room actually had a double bed in it and when we enquired about larger room next day were told nothing was available.

Excellent location just three minutes walking away from Piazza Maggiore.Friendly and helpful staff. Welltasting breakfast served in a very small area of the lobbybar. Sometimes very crowded. Very old and noisy air conditioning equipment in the room and/or ceiling fan which also was noisy but necessary to get some sleep in summer heated Bologna. Tough rather reasonable price for a city hotel with such a location.

The only negative is that we were told the rooms were air conditioned; in fact, only one of the two rooms we had was air conditioned and there was no way to transfer to a new room with a/c. In the 34 degree heat, the a/c was needed. Otherwise, the staff was helpful, although not as knowledgeable as staff at other hotels we stayed at during our visit. Would recommend the hotel.

The Due Torri is well managed, clean, quiet, and very central and convenient. The staff were not particularly interested in their guests, it didn't seem, heads always concentrated on their computers, at any time of the day. Breakfast is not very special but the coffee is nice. Rooms are comfortable but very small. Decoration is modern and inoffensive, but hardly in keeping with the ancient building and not in any way interesting. TV channels limited to Italian.

I was disappointed with the breakfast. It was very informal with small tables and chairs. The food was all pastry-oriented with no fresh fruit, cheese, fresh butter, or cereal. Everything was in packets! I don't expect this in Europe. The room was very nice with a fabulous bathroom and shower, again I wouldn't expect that in Europe. Our window faced the back so there was no view, but the electric Velux windows were nice. I liked the central location as well.

The hotel was only "due passi" from the busy streets of Bologna and near the excellent Mercato dell'herbe. The outside of the hotle is unpretentious, the inside clean, pleaant and with pleasant and helpful service. The breakfast was adequate (though with a lack of breads for our tastes) with excellent cappuccino. Bologna seems expensive for hotels and this was excellent value for comfort, location and service.

We were pleased overall. I was upset that we could not find the Hotel initially. No one seemed to know where it is. The rooms should be updated. They are getting a bit out of style. The staff was warm and friendly in three out of four cases. The second floor room, with open windows onto the street were excellent for getting the flavor of Bologna. We enjoyed the central location in that we could walk everywhere we wanted to go. or that the bus was in easy access. My wife and I very much enjoyed the colazione.

Overall I had a comfortable stay at the "Due Torri" Hotel. It was a nice surprise to find that one could choose what to have for breakfast and the freshly baked pastries were delicious. My room was attractively furnished in gold and green. My only complaint would be that the room had quite a strong smell of cigarette smoke and I am a non smoker. I did my best to air the room every day, but the person who made the bed always closed the windows and I never got rid of the smell, which also stuck to my clothes.

There is quite a long flight of stairs you must climb just to get in to the hotel. There was no mention of this on the web page. The hotel is very clean but very small. The staff was not that friendly and there was only one that spoke english. The room was alright but we didn't think it was worth what they were charging. The hotel was was located above a run down looking Chinese reataurant in a back lane which had a service entrance for an adjacent hotel - not the most appealing first impression. However the hotel itself was fine, the rooms were clean and spacious and the overall location of the hotel relative to the centre of Bologna was very good. Breakfast was adequate.
