Bed and Breakfast Baroni - Bologna

We dont like this Guest House, and if we go again to Bologna we´ll never stay here. Dont feel good in the house. They offer us air conditioner for example, and when we arrive they want more money, out of the reserve, for this facilies. They only ask if we want a "food tour" visiting markets, and paying 50 eur per person. And if we want air conditioner, paying again, and if we want breakfast of course paying. Asking about the area for lunch and dinner the staff only want to send us to their restaurant. Really not recomendable.

The staff was not polite with us.

Excellent staff, very nice people and a very good value for the price ! We enjoyed it and will come back in August, if it's possible !

This was a good stay. It was easy to find and relatively close to both the train station and the historic center. The only catch was the 5 EUR supplement for air conditioning. Overall, recommended.

Very nice familyhotel in the middle of the city. Great price-quality! For 50€/night we had a big bedroom and an own bathroom (where we expected a shared one). The negatives were that the bed was a bit hard, we had a fan (no airco) so the night was warm and there was no small fridge/minibar. It was a good experience overall, definately recommended!

We tought it was a hotel, but it's actually a big familiy-owned flat with 2-3 rooms to let. No warm welcome, the landlady did not speak English. The flat is clear, but there was only one bathrooom for the guests. There are 2-3 dogs living with the family in the flat (no reference to this on homepage). Do not book Baroni if you don't like smoke, because it will be smoken in the flat... The rooms are quiet noisy - it will be spoken loudly in the morning. No cancellation of the reservation was possible. The flat situated near to the main station and the city center can be reached within 5 minutes.

Georgia and her family made us feel very at home. Excellent information, lovely room and extremely clean shared bathroom facilities. Only small niggle were other guests smoking in the only bathroom/toilet we had shared access to but that was disrespectful guests rather than a problem with the hotel.

Jeśli liczycie na to, że zjecie tu jakiekolwiek śniadanie musicie się rozczarować. Polecam Mc Donald's które jest nie daleko. Bardzo dokuczliwy brak klimatyzacji (zamiast tego hałasujący wiatrak) jednakże dobra baza wypadowa i miła obsługa.

Soggiorno davvero bello, b&b pulitissimo, mi sono trovata troppo bene, la colazione ci è stata addirittura portata in camera...non mi era mai successo !!!! tornerò sicuramente e lo consiglio a tutti :)

We enjoyed our stay,the room was kept very clean,breakfast is served in your room and is good.The location is central,and most of the sites of interest are easily reached on foot. The only thing missing was air conditioning,a fan is provided

This establishment is exceptionally clean and very reasonably priced. Moroever the room was very large and airy with a pleasant view. The woman I met (not I think the owner) did not appear to speak English, but maybe she was trying to help me improve my bad Italian. She was certainly very patient with my efforts. The breakfast was not so good. This is definitely not the place to order tea which is the nastiest Italian kind out of a machine. They could definitely benefit from investing in a kettle and some teabags! The bread was the kind that comes in plastic packets. On the other hand Bologna in general has wonderful food and this place is cheap, so I would advise staying here and just going out for breakfast. You should also be aware that the rooms are not all in the location indicated on the map. I stayed in an appartment that was in another building and much harder to find.

The lady who cleans the rooms and bring you breakfast does not understand a word english, what makes the communication very complicated. The rooms were very clean. i booked a double, and first night i got twin room, the second day i got the double bad which was really lovely.

I went with my boyfriend for a week. It was very clean and spacious, they bring you brekkie to your room at whatever time you specify and the staff are friendly and welcoming. Not the best area to be in but only a 10 min walk to main piazza. Also thought it was a bit expensive for a share bathroom, but i guess thats what your going to find everywhere inside the walls. Overall a good stay and would recommend to travelers to bologna

This is a lovely b&b, well situated in the centre of Bologna and an absolute bargain. We had a double room with a private bathroom, both of which were nicely decorated and clean. Breakfast is the standard croissants, breads, cereals, juice, tea & coffe, which you take back to your room on a tray. The owner was very friendly and helpful. No curfew, so you can come and go as you please. Certainly my favourite b&b in Italy.

Hostess Cornelia very nice. Rude Russians ruined our nights until she told them to be quiet. Generous breakfasts. Central location convenient to transit, sights, etc.
