It was terrible!!! There is sharing bathroom for 4 rooms. For breakfast was only a cup of tea with bread and jam. The smell was like in the public street toilet. Located far away from city center with no buses in evenings or sunday. The price is much higher that declime - instead of 80 euro, she took 95 euro per night. It was the worse staying in Italy.

I'm back in this bed and breakfast because I was fine the last time. I confirm that this geographical area is quiet, and you can sleep well and quiet. Unfortunately, the b&b is not near the center and attractive of Bologna, and it is not near the train station, but there is a bus station just a few meters and few minutes. Internet there isn't, so Wi-Fi is not present. The Lady Accorsi is responsible to give customers packaged croissants, jam, yogurt, juice and milk and coffee. Finally, the rooms of this big house are clean.

Quiet Place, good quality of sleep! Mrs. Veronica is very kind, is like a mother for customers, and is responsible for preparing a good breakfast. Rooms are clean, there is a daily change of towels. Unfortunately, the geografical area of this bed and breakfast is far to the center of Bologna, so you need to take bus (number 81/91 Pontelungo Station from Bologna Train Station) or taxi (price from 10 to 12 €uros) to arrive important areas of the italian city. Another problem is that Internet is not present in the house, there isn't. However, this B&B is a house big enough in the first floor of a building, with 5 bedrooms, two bathrooms and a kitchen where every morning you consume milk and coffee, croissants, toast, Nutella, jam, yogurt and juice.

Just to be clear:there is no internet access available at all. Mrs. Acorsi doesn't just not speak English well, she speaks none, and her Italian is very muttered and hard to understand even if you speak it.It's a fairly long walk to anywhere, even bus stops. The breakfast is very low quality, cheap instant coffee and stale bread. Also, make sure all the keys she gives you are for the actual corresponding locks (I had one key that didn't fit into anything, and it was supposed to be the key to the room floor). Basically, if you just need a bed and this is your cheapest/only option, it'll do.

A B&B at a reasonable price and once more Mrs. Accorsi proved herself a very friendly Italian lady. Located in a simple housing area off the city centre but in a quite quiet blind alley with nearly no traffic. The only really annoying thing was you could not turn down the heating since the valve was broken. Anyhow Mrs. Accorsi told me she was going to have this repaired. If you are not willing to at least try some Italian, you should rather choose another accommodation (but if so, why are you travelling to Italy at all??). Don't worry too much, since like most Italians Mrs. Accorsi will appreciate your effort to communicate even if your Italian consists just of some few words.

This hotel is not close to the train station. But worth taking the 91 bus to reach this B & B. Mrs Accorsi does not speak any English but with my husband speaking a little Italian we managed just fine. After getting out of the train station go to the right to the ATC and purchase your bus ticket 1.5E the 91 bus will drop you off at the Pontelungo stop. Get off backtrack two blocks cross the street go down via Speranza to via Licinia go left to house number 12.It is a nice quiet neighborhood. The tobacco store is at the Pontelungo stop this is where you will buy your bus tickets.Take the #13 bus to take you to the center of town. You can buy your tickets the day before but be sure to validate the ticket when you get on the bus .The tobacco stores close in the afternoon so get round trip tickets in the morning. The room was clean and breakfast was yogurt, toast, coffee, juice and packaged pastries. We would have liked to have two cups of coffee but we only got one. We would definitely stay with Mrs Accorsi again.

A lovely little Italian lady welcomed us constantly nattering away not speaking a word of English but she was lovely and provided us with everything we need via a bit of pigeon Italian!. We had a whole apartment to yourselves on the top floor of the apartment block. We said we would like breakfast around 8 am and when we went info the breakfast room the dear old lady was waiting for us to make us toast and coffee, she was so sweet!. And she let us park our car in their garage free of charge. Excellent hospitality

This was as advertised in Venere, that being a "Family Run accomodation". Living quarters were UPSTAIRS in this double storied house. Pity it was far from Bologna Centrale, but the bus being 5 minutes away made up for the distance. Grandmother who lives downstairs does not speak ENGLISH, but she is friendly.

I was really impressed- it's super cheap and clean and very comfortable- a simple place, a little out of the town center but very easy to get to the city by bus ( number 13) , which passes every 10 minutes. The Accorsi B&B is wonderful! As mentioned here before, it is a short bus ride from the train station and the main piazza. Take bus 81 or 91 from train station, get off on Pontelungo stop then you have to backtrack a street or two to Via Speranza, go right then look for Via Licinia on your left. It's a quick easy walk. Signora Accorsi is very accomodating and sweet. Safe neighborhood, tobacconist down the street sells bus tickets. Highly recommend the pizzeria that is nearby and you MUST go to Antica Trattoria Ponte Lungo, it was probably the best meal we had during our two weeks in Italy. Its just a couple of blocks from the Pontelungo stop, same side of the street. We also visited the porticos of San Luca (longest portico in the world!), it's beautiful and there is a bus if you don't feel like walking.

We were generally very pleased with the accommodation, chiefly because we were the only guests and had the whole floor and bathroom to ourselves (the place was empty). The hosts were very nice, however they did not speak a word of English. Just a few words in a new Lingua Franca would be a big help to tourists. Otherwise all was perfect. Nice quiet area and very close to the airport. Last but not least, good filling breakfast which is important for someone who is travelling.

If you love riding the bus like I did in order to see more of what real life is like in Bologna, then this was a very good deal. It's about a 10 minute ride to the center of Bologna on bus 13, but if you stop and buy some bus tickets at the tobacconist just down the street on the way to the bus stop, it's really easy (don't forget to validate ALL tickets on ALL bus and train trips in Italy by inserting them in the validation machines either in stations or on buses!). The room was large, clean, and quiet. The food at breakfast was plentiful. True enough, Signora Accorsi doesn't speak a word of anything but Italian. I knew some Italian and was able to communicate basic needs easily, and when all else fails she's ready with pen and paper to write down important numbers and times. She's very nice, and simply wants to get you set up and allow you to experience things on your own. One evening I had a problem with the window shades and she came right up to fix it once I told her, though. I was highly satisfied. It's a B&B, not a hotel, but it worked out very well for me.

This was our first visit to Bologna. We spent two nights at Senora Accorsi's B&B. Room was spacious and clean, bathrooms were very clean with lovely shower. Breakfast was different! But very continental. We arrived late so think may have kept her up, but at breakfast she was most attentive and very chatty - even though neither of us speak Italian and she no English! Would definitely go back there again, although it was quite a long way out of the main area of Bologna, the number 13 bus runs frequently and close to the B&B.

Accorsi B&B is 4km from the historic center of Bologna, but so easy to access by bus and such a good value that it was worth the minor inconvenience. First a few tips: To/from train station, Bus 81 or 91. To/from historic center, Bus 13. To/from airport, Bus BLQ. Use the Pontelungo stop for all. You can buy your ticket on board Bus 13 and BLQ, but not the others. A Google map will get you the few blocks from the bus stop to Accorsi B&B. That's it. Simple. Buses 81 and 91 run until 10pm. Bus 13 runs until 1am. To get back from town, look for a stop along Via Farini. My room was large, and the shared bathroom excellent. With only 3 guest rooms, Signora Accorsi arranges breakfast individually with each guest and has everything set up at the arranged time. I changed my time each of the 4 days I stayed there, including a 6:30am start, and she was very accommodating. Breakfast included toast with jam, yogurt, juices and espresso. We chatted about our families and the newspaper headlines of the day, sometimes beyond my competence with the Italian language, for which she showed great patience. I usually make a point to stay in the center of town, but this was my one exception, and I was pleased at how well it worked out.

Excellente adresse.

The hotel is not at all difficult to find from the train station if one can ask a few questions of locals, i.e., which bus to take, where to get off, etc. We had no trouble at all and people were most willing to help with directions. The hotel is within easy walking distance of the city centre for anyone who is moderately fit and who likes to walk. In any event, the buses are good and run frequently, only three or four blocks from the hotel. The biggest surprise was the fact that the hotel does not accept payment in anything other than cash. I had been counting on paying with a credit card and after paying the bill with my remaining supply of cash, I was left with a perilously small amount of euros with which to continue my journey. I would have preferred to know that well ahead of time and I think that should be made clear on the website. Otherwise, the place was fine, clean, quiet, and the Signora was friendly and helpful, especially if one speaks some Italian.

The surroundings of the house were quiet and silent. Near the house, there is a bus stop that drives you directly to the city center, just in 10-15 min. The B&B is clean, quiet and with spacious rooms. On the first floor there are two complete bathrooms for 3 rooms and they are really clean. If you come here by car, it is very easy to park just in front of the house or near the area. Lady of the house is really nice and, though she does not speak English, she manages to understand people and give them what they want. Breakfasts are splendorous!

I might have gotten directions before we left, but I didn't have them with me when we got to Bologna. Getting there was a nightmare, starting with the fact that the bus number we were given and the stop to wait at, didn't help us. But, this isn't the B&B's fault. The street it is on is small (unknown) and aways out of town. So, the bus driver didn't even recognise it, nor the bus stop name we were given at the Bus Office at the Train station. The driver was very helpful and solicited help from riders, one of whom had an idea. The place was then about a 8-10 min walk from the nearest bus stop. The lady who met us when we rang the bell, who lives below, was very nice (btw, she speaks no English). When I told her that we would be leaving early at 6 am, she still offered to make us a hot breakfast. The nearest restaurant is Chinese (4-5 mins) but Italian is a 10 min walk (which wasn't open, even though it should have been). There were a few bars/pizzarias 5-15 mins walk.

Our hostess Victoria was most welcoming and gave us the complete tour of the room, bathroom and the breakfast area. A full run-down in the use of the first rate espresso machine and valuable info on where to catch the bus. The neighborhood is quiet and the city bus is less than a 5 minute walk, number 13 will take you to Piazza Maggiore in 10 minutes and there is an excellent Trattoria a block from the bus stop. Note that the hostess speaks only Italian, but even with my limited language skill I was able to communicate well enough. We'd definately stay here again when in Bologna.

My wife and I liked the accommodation. It is cheap and far from the downtown, which is invariably noisy in every Italian city. A major problem, as others also have pointed out, is that the owner does not speak exclusively Italian. But if you perceive that as a service (language teaching by means of modern direct methods), it will increase the value of the accommodation for you. A real problem, and a big one, is the map on the website. It is simply wrong. I used a map service and was cautious enough to ask the exact location at the train station. You should take bus 81 or 91 and get off at 'Pontelungo'. You must ask others on the bus, as the bus driver does not indicate the name of stops. The website claims the accommodation is 10 minutes from the train station. Actually, it is almost a 10-minute walk from the bus stop (and 20 minutes on the bus, which circulate infrequently on Sundays and holidays). Still, the accommodation is worth the money. A couple from Hungary
