Located in the heart of the historical, artistic centre of town, our family run bed and breakfast is the ideal location to discover Bergamo and its region. We will be very glad to welcome you and pamper you in every possible way: that is our goal, giving you a personally tailored approach to the site so that you can feel like a local, a Bergamasco. Giving you personal suggestions is what we really like.

Relaxing, strolling around, discovering plenty of hidden secret areas, centuries away from the bustling city is a charming way to spend time in Bergamo. Breath and be absorbed by the Italian way of life, sipping a cappuccino on one of the terraces on Piazza Vecchia, taking a romantic walk towards the breathtaking San Vigilio vista point, or just enjoy the slow pace life of this part of town.

Our two no smoking, very attractive apartments are located in a medieval, charming and completely renovated house, still keeping the fascination of the old good things, where the family and the dog Gigia live.

Simplicity and tastefulness are characteristic of the interior design, which perfectly suits the rich in history walls and vaults.

In the summer our sweet and savoury breakfast is served in the medieval courtyard, surrounded by a tasteful garden. This can be a quiet refuge for many of our guests, seeking for peace and privacy.

How to reach Entro le Mura Bed and Breakfast

We don't have any scheduled reception hours: so we need to know your appr. arrival time in order to be here to welcome you.
Coming by highway number 4, either from Milan or from Venice, get out at
Bergamo exit (there's just one). After paying the toll follow the white sign
towards the city center (Bergamo centro), that is the third road on the
right. Drive along this two lane road as far as the first traffic light,
and turn to the right, following the "Città Alta" signs: they will lead you
as far as a large boulevard (Viale Papa Giovanni). Follow it all away
towards the upper part of town (Città Alta): it will bring you to one of the
gates of the old upper part of town (Sant Agostino gate). Drive through it
and once beyond it, keep going to the right, where, after passing a church
on the right, you will be driving along the fortifications. After appr. 200
yards, you will see a diversion in the middle of which there's a little
chapel; go to the left. You're now in Via San Lorenzo.
We are located at number 26 (right handside).
Stop along the street in order to call us and unload the car.
There's no private garage, but there are parking possibilities next by and
we will be happy to give you a special pass that entitles you to park on
lots reserved to residents: we will tell you about on your arrival.By train

In case you let us know exactly your arrival time by train, if somebody is available, we can pick you up at the railway station, or in any case here are some directions:

Bus stop: in front of the exit from the railway station building

Ticket: (fare A) you can buy it at the newspaper stand inside the railway station itself, at automatic machines or at any tobacco shop.
If you think to use the bus several time, or if you are a group, you can buy a 10ride ticket

Bus number 1 (just out train station) takes you straight
to the funicular (cable car) up to the old part of town (same one ticket).

Walking itinerary from the bus stop (5 minutes):
From the upper arrival station, walk straight ahead along via Gombito (the
main one with all the shops), pass a small square (San Pancrazio) and at the
next crossing a downhill street on the right is Via San Lorenzo.

Getting out from the airport take to the right and and right after 200-300 mt to the right again, following the sign "Bergamo". You will be driving along a four lane road for a short while, then, before a roundabout, take an underpassage on the right, following the indication "alle valli". Keep going and you will come out on another 4 lane road, where you are supposed to follow the first exit to the right, where it says "Bergamo Centro". You will get to another big roundabout where you take the second exit on the right, always following "Bergamo Centro" and "Città Alta". At the first traffic light, to the right and at the following one, to the left. You will drive underneath the railroad, right after it, go right away to the right, following the "Città Alta" signs: they will lead you as far as a large boulevard (Viale Papa Giovanni). From Orio airport there's a very convenient connection with downtown by bus. Appr. a bus every 20-30 minutes.
