We were the first guests of 2014 (after the winter season) and couldn't have been happier with our stay. Christina was a wonderful host and made our stay in Bergamo one to remember. She picked us up at the train station for a small fee and dropped us off when we left. She suggested some very good restaurants and wonderful places to take a walk. Thanks again!!!

This is a delightful B&B and Christina is a wonderful hostess. It was a welcome relief after city hotels where every sip of water has a price tag. Christina prepared an excellent breakfast and gave us great recommendations for sightseeing and supper.

Cristina provided us with everything we needed, the room is very beautifu, quietl and big, with a fantastic view of bergamo. She also provided a small lit for our kid with an extra (small) cost. The location is perfect, 2 blocks from the main turistic points of Cittá Alta.

This is my top pick for value and beautiful accommodation in Italy. Christina runs a wonderful B&B with a fabulous breakfast. SPotlessly cleana nd good value,a nd so well located - a very short walk to the very centre of Bergamo's old city, but it's location hanging above the city walls makes for unbelievable views across the surrounding plains. Christine also organised a very easy pick up for me from the airport - only 10 minutes drive at a reasonable cost of 20 Euros. Would be quite challenging to find on your own the first time round without good guidance. I would come back here every time.

We had a lovely stay with Cristina at Casa Mia. Citta Alta is a beautiful walled city location and A Casa Mia is very quiet at night with the peace of the day only interrupted by the ringing of church bells telling the passing of time. Cristina was most helpful about the area and also gave us several suggestions for restaurants. Following her advice we found the Cooperative Restaurant which was down an alleyway off Via Colleoni which is part of the main pedestrian area. The building was the former prison and on looking through the barred windows it looked empty apart from a few locals at the bar. Do not be fooled - the main rooms are at the back of the building (1 meal eaten there because of rain) and a large garden area (2 meals here). The Italian families eat there, the place is a buzz of conversation and laughter, the food is good and it is cheap. The pizza menu alone is 3 pages long, and the range of local beers is impressive. Go there for a long lazy lunch or dinner - there is no rush and the waiters are very laid back! Work off that pizza by walking the city walls and take the funicular to the very top of Citta Alta and enjoy the wonderful views. A very interesting and beautiful place to be.

The proprietress, Christina, is very friendly, helpful and very service minded. Access to property a bit complicated by car, especially on Sundays due to rules about limited traffic, but once you're there, it's worth any effort. You'll love it.

Simply put, A Casa Mia is wonderful! The owner, Christina, goes well out of her way to make sure your stay is perfect! The view off the balcony is gorgeous, as is "Citti Alta", the old town area of Bergamo. We rented a car out of Zurich, but my GPS could only get me nearby (GPS's fault). No worries, Christina went out in the street and met us. Driving into Citti Alta is not for the timid - most streets are only wide enough for one car, but the roads are two way. Make sure you enjoy driving in "reverse" now and then! But however you find a way to arrive, make sure your stay is at A Casa Mia!

Excellent little b&b. Cristina, the owner/host, is delightful: knowledgeable, friendly, helpful, fluent in English and patient with those of us who struggle with Italian. The location could not be better. A five minute walk to Piazza Vecchio; less to a bus stop and the funicular to Castello San Viglio. Best of all, the b&b is on a small side street and, therefore, has very little road noise. This is a two room b&b, so it is small, with a commons area in the middle between the two bedroom wings. There is some noise, as a result. Also, the private bathroom for our room was down a short hallway. The bedroom itself was quite large and comfortable, with a wonderful view of the hills overlooking Cita Alta. The bathroom was also fairly large and very functional. Very good breakfast, with fruit, yogurts, juice, wonderful variety of breads and rolls, cereals, coffee, etc. Would certainly stay there again if we are ever fortunate enough to return to Bergamo.

We stayed in this Bed and Breakfast on our way through Bergamo. The room was really spacious and clean with an outstanding view from the balcony. The breakfast was great a selection of cheese, cold cuts, fresh fruit, muesli and fruit juice all beautifully presented. The owner Christina is extremely welcoming and helpful she pointed out the main sights and good places to eat. The location in the old town is ideal and very easy to get to from the airport (a single bus ride for €1.20).The rooms would not be totally quiet as church bells ring very frequently in bergamo. We would definitely stay here again.

My mum and I travelled to Bergamo to try and arrange my wedding venue and church in 2 days! Cristina is an amazing host and nothing is too much bother for her. It felt like a real home from home. With her help, guidance, tips and support, we managed to book a wonderful church near the old town and have decided on a wedding venue too. The B&B is so central, 5 mins walk to the old medieval centre and very near the funicular or the bus stop that takes you to San Vigilio, the upper part of Bergamo alta or indeed the bus to the station in downtown Bergamo or the airport (Orio Al Serio). Bergamo is a stunning town and the trip was made even easier by the wonderful B&B and Cristina, who is like a private guide to the area, We took advantage of the 15 euro pick up from Orio Al Serio and on the way back, we took the bus. The breakfast had a real variety of food from boiled eggs, mixed meats, cheeses, sweet bread, panettone, toast, conserves, cereal....we never felt hungry! As other reviews have said, we had the private bathroom at the end of the small corridor and this suited us fine. The views from the balcony are stunning! We will definitely be back!

For a reasonable fee we were picked up at the airport by the owners husband. The room was rather simple, but spacious, clean and with a comfortable double bed; it all had a charming and personal touch. We shared bathroom, which was unproblematic and located just outside our door. Our room had a shared balcony with french doors and a great view over the hillside and the plains towards Milan. From the balcony you could se the sun go down behind the hills. It has a quiet location with no disturbing traffic, yet within easy walking distance to both the old and new city. The owner Christina took good care of us and was very available and service-minded from the first to the last moment. The breakfast was special and satisfying with a good variation.
