Fantastic B&B!!

At 80 Euros B&B rate this isn't cheap, but the quality and service make it great value for money. Excellent self-service breakfast. We always stay here by preference for a one-night stopover after flying in from the UK. Not easy to find in the dark without TomTom, which takes you right into the drive. Owners are very friendly, professional and helpful. The house is beautiful, rooms large and nicely decorated. The basement swimming pool is luxury itself. Late-night meals available at a couple of quality local restaurants within walking distance.

The room was very comfortable and location is close to the highway which is very convenient for travel. Excellent Wi-Fi high speed Internet service.

Bombyx is always my first choice of B&B in Bergamo. The hosts are extremely friendly and professional, the house is beautiful, and the basement swimming pool superb. The location is very convenient for Bergamo airport, and easy to find with a TomTom.

The service was excellent. The hosts picked us up from the airport and also got us to the train station the next day. Very friendly and welcoming. The rooms were spotless, very nicely decorated and comfortable. Loved the wood floors. Charming breakfast. I would definitely like to come back again. Highly recommend!!

An excellent B&B! We stayed for four nights and relatives stayed for another two. The hospitality, service, food and attention to detail are wonderful. Raffaella and Andreas are fantastic hosts...local restaurants are great, free parking and a surprise underground heated pool make this a very unique experience. One you'll remember for years as outstanding. You can't say enough positive comments about this facility and family...Buono Fortuna ..it was great.

We only stayed one night but it was absolutely wonderful. I've decided to take my wife back for a weekend , just to stay at Bergamo. Great town and I think most people just pass through. Many thanks to Raffaelle and Andrea.

Bombyx was a lucky find. The two rooms share a beautifully decorated lounge and kitchen in the farmhouse attics. The gardens, and pool complex in the cellars are very special - you won't be disappointed. So long as you can negociate several flights of winding stairs you'll be in for a treat

Better than a 5 stars hotel suite! A very wonderful place, clean and quiet. the family is very nice, and the swimming pool is amazing. We'll only back to Bergamo if there is a free room in this B&B!

In Bombyx, the breakfast was very rich, tasty. The swimming pool and the decoration are very pretty. The restaurant "Franco" in the old Bergamo was cheap, but not tasty because of daily cooking without any subtlety (paste and meat) Bombyx caters to well to do and educated couples.

Excellent from every aspect. Superb hostess, very friendly and extremely helpful. The in door pool is breath taking.

THE Perfect Place. Very beautiful house, very kind hosts. You can't find a single thing you do not like there. We have planned to go to Milan every day, but we liked Bergamo so much that we have stay there for 2 days and only the other 2 we have spent in Milan. Bombyx is a good place to stay if you want to visit Milan, it's only an hour with the train.

Best welcoming ever! Nicest B&B-room ever! These are the reasons to stay here. Close to the airport which could be nice for a very early flight but not really necessary otherwise since the airport is just 15 minutes from Bergamo (new) town center, by an almost direct bus. Recommended if you have a car and plan to visit other places than Bergamo, too.

We had a fantastic stay at the Bombyx. Andreas and his family were so kind and helpful. They picked us up at the airport and also invited us to Giovannni's birthday party. However, after a busy day at Lake Como all we really wanted to do was have a swim and relax. The facilities were excellent. The accommodation was immaculate and I would recommend it to everyone!

Excellent place. Liked it so much, we've already booked to go again! Ideal stopping point near the airport, on our way to the Lakes. Bergamo is well worth a visit, with its high medieval city.

We had read previous reviews and so had high expectations of Bombyx. Even so, we were not prepared for what we found. This B&B is absolutely gorgeous. The two rooms are in a loft conversion that includes a lounge, a kitchen, and a separate internet room. This is reached by its own entrance. The quality of materials and finishing touches are first class. A chilled bottle of sparkling wine, chocolates and biscuits awaited our arrival. The kitchen was stocked with food for our use. The lounge had spirits we were welcome to try. The bed had a rose placed upon it. Besides all this, in the basement is a sizeable pool, reached by marble walled corridors, and a snooker room to boot. Its just wonderful. Ideal for a couple, and perhaps perfect for two couples travelling together, Bombyx is topped off by the friendliness of the owners, who were only too wiling to provide whatever help they could. They don't have a lot of English, but hey, its Italy! Take a phrase book and make a little effort, it goes a long way. Bombyx is only 5 minutes walk from the bus into town, and the owners even organised a day bus pass for us (€2.50) which I recommend as it covers the two funicular railways as well, more than paying for itself. You can spend a whole day exploring Bergamo, two at a leisurely pace and it has good public transport links to Milan and Brescia to name but two. We are already recommending this place to friends, and judging by the comments in the guest book (from all over the globe), so are many more people. Pay a visit. You won't be disappointed.

We had a glorious time in Bergamo, Our second visit but the first to Bombyx, such a friendly family so thoughtful & helpful they took us to a great bar/pizzaria OSTERIA DELLA DOGANA also family run with great food and warm friendly greeting. I can not praise these people highly enough would i recommend Bombyx YES fantastic and Andrea,s cake yum yum. Would we return absolutly YES

An excellent place, very comfortable,pretty and quiet. The owners are very kind and friendly helping in everything. I greatly recomend it. I just spent a night because I had to take the plane at 6.30 am. Bergamo deserves a visit and this Bed and Breakfast too.

Good looking rooms and excellent bathroom. Our host didn't speak english very well and therefore could not advise us what to do in Bergamo during our short stay. Only stayed one night, might be more suited to a longer stay or family.

We had an excellent stay at B&B Bobmbyx. The property is a beautiful restored farmhouse and the rooms which are in the attic conversion are beautifully and tastefully furnished. The public area was spacious and comfortable.We were the only occupants and had the facilities to ourselves. It was the equivalent of having an apartment to ourselves. There was a good choice of food for breakfast. The swimming pool was amazing. There is a good bus service into Bergamo centre situated a 3-4 minute walk from the B&B and taxi's are readily available at the station. We would certainly recommend this hotel especially if you want a base for travelling to other parts of northern Italy.

Outstanding accommodation for the price. Lovely family run establishment,and a warm welcome awaits. It's a little tricky to find by car as the place is situated on a main road behind high walls, but a quick phone call was all that was needed. Cannot praise enough

We only stayed for one night and arrived very late due to a delayed flight. The staff acted very nice and arranged that we had something to eat even tough we arrived in the middle of the night. The room was nice and there was a jacuzzi in the bathroomThe Bombyx is one of the nicest B&B we have visited and we will fore sure stay again if we ever pas Bergamo.

Beautiful italian house and garden with an interesting story behind the name Bombyx. Try to google bymbyx nerie. This is more than a bed with breakfast. It is a genuine house from 1600 - lovely restored and a family with a lot of hospitality. We had a lovely room, bathroom with spa and also a kitchen and a lounge. Go try it yourself!

I was just there for one night waiting for my flight to leave out of the local airport. I was so happy with this B&B that I booked the room again for 5 nights later this month for a romantic vacation with my husband. Milano is only 45 minutes away and I think Venice is only about 2 hours - the mountains are less than an hour, Verona and Lake Garda are also nearby. The pool is fantastic.

The Bombyx was a delightful surprise. An amazing loft apartment within a traditional rustic family farm house. Beautiful gardens with the use of a swimming pool, all at an exceptional price.We chose this because it was near to the airport. The owners offer a 10euro shuttle service as opposed to the 20 euro taxi fare. This is an ideal base to explore Bergamo as a whole, and a peaceful retreat at the end of the day. Bus services are nearby to take you to the Citta Alta. Bergamo is an overlooked treasure, a truly amazing place, would suit couples wanting a cheap weekend break to a beautiful medieval Italian city.

This was absolutely the best place we have ever been to in Italy, and this was our fourth vacation in the country. The house and rooms were perfect. The family that owns the B&B was very friendly and helpful. They served really good breakfasts, with homemade apfelstrudel. We were invited to a dinner with the family, and they served delicious food typical for the Bergamo area. We would go back to Bergamo just to be able to stay at Bombyx B&B again. And of course, we really recommend you to stay here.

I've been traveling around the entired world and I never found such a nice and helpfull people to make your holidays much nicer, and the place is incredible is a fantastic house with all the facilities with one fantastic swimming pool and the most important thing, they welcome to their house and make you feel that is your own house. So I advice to everybody if they have to stay in Bergamo, don't miss this place.
