B&B Alba Città Alta - Bergamo

Great place to stay in Bergamo with great rooms, hosts, delicious breakfast and excellent location.

Nice place, charming house, excellent breakfast .

Simple room, quite expensive. Very noisy at night, very difficult to sleep if you have a room facing the street. Bad smell in bathroom (humidity)

Beautiful location, perfect room, in the center of the old town of Bergamo. Parking is a bit troublesome, until you get the parking permit of the owners. (make sure to mention you're coming by car) Park your car in front of the carabinieri office and walk for 200m. Since the room was exactly above the main street, there was quite some noise (from people having fun). We enjoyed the most perfect breakfast and overall our stay!

Perfect location right in the middle of where it's at in Bergamo Città Alta, friendly hosts, perfect service. Couldn't be better!

Estuvimos un fin de semana en octubre de 2008. Se trata de una casa con cuatro habitaciones decoradas con mucho gusto, muy acogedoras y grandes. El desayuno se sirve en una preciosa cocina y es abundante y variado. Está justo en el centro de la ciudad alta, con lo cual se puede ir paseando a todos los lugares de interés. El dueño fue muy amable y ofrecen la posibilidad de recogerte en el aeropuerto pagando un suplemento. El mayor inconveniente es que no admiten tarjetas de crédito. Totalmente recomendable!!!

My friends and I stayed in the spacious Leonardo room, which was huge and had room for 4 girlies, all their shopping and luggage. The location is fabulous in the heart of Citta Alta, the welcome and service excellent. I cannot find fault and will definitely return.

Needs to be made more clear, that the Alba b&b only take cash payments

Alba B&B is in heart of historical Bergamo, pair hundred steps from Citta Alta sightseeings. We were stay in Leonardo's room (and also for other rooms the names of Ninja Turtles are given - but maybe i'm wrong..). Room was spacious, clean, tasty decorated and furnished (by the way - in B&B information it can mention free wi-fi internet). Very friendly and welcoming staff - grazie Pierangela e Alfonso !

If I do not remember bad I stayed in Leonardo room. The room was very beautiful and the service was perfect

We stayed in Bergamo for 2 nights, and found the location to be excellent. walking distance to all the attractions in the Citta Alta. close to the Feniculare. The owner of the place speeks good english which was very helpful in scheduling cabs, getting maps etc... the rest of the staff speaks italian, but do their best in trying to figure out what you would like for breakfast. The only downside is probably the noise from the street, which some how even with double glazing manages to pass through. i would definatly reccomend this place

B & B Alba Chiara is a lovely little gem in the heart of Bergamo Citta Alta. It has a very homely feel. There are 3 rooms in the B & B, all with beautiful ceiling paintings. We were collected by Alfonso (we did not have Italian and he had little English, but it did not pose too many problems) - The shuttle service is a great little extra. We arrived in Bergamo at 8.30pm and were out walking the Medieval streets of the old town by 9.30pm. Breakfast was delicious and very accomodating (whatever time you want!). Jenni, the chambermaid was also very accomodating and friendly! I would highly recommend this B & B for anyone who wants hassle free accomodation right in the heart of a beautiful scenic city. I'll definitely be back!

Right in the heart of the old area with excellent restaurants on the doorstep. The streets are v. narrow here so beware if you are driving. We took the direct route through Citte Alta (from Bergamo airport)and found it after one small detour. Phone ahead - we didn't and had an anxious few minutes outside and a 15 minute wait for the owner. Room was typically Italian, clean, spacious and our host very welcoming. No parking at the property; we were led to an overnight area and moved the car the following day to enjoy time strolling round the town.

What a great way to start the holiday! We opted for an additional charge of 15e to be collected by the lovely Ellia. The B&B is right in the centre of the city.. perfect location.. the room was gorgeous as is all of the property.. Ellia was very helpful and gave us some information about the surounding area and the city.. even offered a lift to milan the following day... couldn't fault the place at all!
