This is a lovely little B&B located right in the heart of the Alta Citta - very close walking distance to all the sights! The owners are very friendly and helpful and made us feel most welcome. We originally planned on just spending one night but ended up staying several because we liked the place so much! Highly recommend.

My husband and I were delighted with Agnese's kind attention to little details: fresh fruit and sweets in our fridge and new dishes at the breakfast table each morning. We ate al fresco looking out onto the hillside with the sound of church bells. I loved buying ravioli from the local shop and preparing it in our spotless kitchen. Pizza with the locals in Il Circolino's garden was a highlight, but more special was dinner at baretto di san viglio. I seem to be referring to the food a lot, but this is Italy!

We stayed 3 days in a nice appartment, with the bedroom in the mezzanine, very cosy. Really close to the old city center, just outside the city walls. A little bit disturbed by the bells of the nearby church, which by the way is worth a visit for the unique pictures behind the altar.Welcoming staff at Agnese, fresh fruits and sweets when we came. Nice breakfast as well, fruits, yougurts, croissants, cereals, rolls etc. Staff mostly speaking italian, but we were still able to communicate. Would definitvely go back on another occasion

We had a very spacious appartement at the Agnesse B&B. A small kitchen/ living room and bathroom downstairs, a large bedroom upstairs. Everything you could wish for was there - plenty of drinking water, fruit, shower gels etc. The landlady herself is a very sweet woman, who goes out of her way to help if she can. We awoke in the morning to the church next door chiming 7 am and just a few moments later another church in the vicinity chimed. Another morning we awoke to a dawn chorus and cuckoos calling to each other. Both wonderful experiences. This B&B is not luxury, in a way it is much more than that. It is completely authentic, warm and adds to the Italian experience in every way.

An old building with lots of charm. Within easy walking distance to sites in the old city. The area surrounding the B&B is very picturesque.

A fantastic place to stay in Bergamo, couldn't be better located, 50 m from the very heart of the old town. I shouldn't recommend this place as I would keep it for myself! This B&B is in an ancient and beautiful palace: the room is large and beautiful, and the person in charge was really friendly and helpful. If you look for the perfect, full with charm, and affordable place to stay, don't look further, you found it.

Owner pleasant and welcoming but no English spoken. Bergamo beautiful and scenic but road outside apartment narrow and cobbled, had a lot of traffic, much noisier than expected.Reasonable breakfast.V basic bathroom. Overpriced for level of accommodation especially with current exchange rate.Lots of uneven stone steps for access, difficult for getting cases up and down.

Hostess was friendly, breakfast was marvellous, beds very comfy but we slept very poorly because of the rumble from (too fast running) tyres on the cobble-stoned narrow lane below our window.

Hi, Everything was very good except for the noice in the street. It came as a surprice to us that the small road close to our bedroom window had traffic in the night and that the sound was very strengthen by the nature of the high buildings. If the bedroom had been situated against the backyard it had surely been much more quite. We have a question if we return to Bergamo and Agnese in the future: Is there any other rooms that are not so noicy? Sincerely Peter Tern

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and were very well looked after. Breakfast was good, a combination of Italian breakfast, pastries, meat, cheeses plus the cereals and yoghourt that we normally eat - so we had it all. The citta alta of Bergamo is wonderful and this B&B is 3 minutes walk outside the city wall. Just be aware that the road outside is cobbled (as is all the citta alta) so it makes a noise as cars go past. It wasn't that busy and didn't disturb our sleep but if you are a light sleeper, choose another city or the modern new part. Your website insisted that I complete the question about public areas - there aren't any so perhaps a N/A would be useful. We liked everything else about agnese so, if it had public areas, I'm sure we would have rated that 10 as well!
