Two mature-age women, we stayed at Ca Rossa in July and it totally came up to our expectations. The views of the garden from our windows will stay with us always, total bliss. Our hostess was very helpful with suggestions of where to go, drove us to the old town the first day to get our bearings and even helped me with my fractured Italian. It was wonderful to arrive back in the peaceful countryside after a day's sightseeing. I'll recommend it to all my friends.

It was a pity that the owner was away so that we were unable to feel that this was like staying in an Italian home rather than in a house run on hotel lines. Rooms clean and quirky in design. Bathrooms are outside the bedroom in a communal corridor. Breakfast good but no better than other hotels that we stayed in. Non smoking , except that other guests did so, there being nobody available to prevent this. The house is divided into several homes ,with consequent noise including motor bikes and stereo music. The views of the town ... from only one bathroom and the breakfast room are good as is the view to the rear.A car is essential to get anywhere. However the view and lack of privacy does not justify a price which was higher than other 4* hotels we have stayed in elsewhere in Italy, some with equally good views. And you can only pay by cash .

Pierangela gave us a very warm welcom. She made our stay top quality. She was very very helpful and knowledgeable. Her knowlege of being bilingual was very helpful to us not being able to speak Italian. She put on a very nice spread for breakfast... there was plenty of food and choice. Our room was beautiful with a pleasing view of the garden and hillside. We would recommend her service of hotel/airport shuttle. yes it cost $20. but it is well worth doing this. Most convenient. Her recommendations of resturants was excellent we went to the one at the bottom of her home twice. They are wonderful there. Thank you Peirangella we weill recommend you to everyone! Gratzi! All the best to you and your kind family!

We stayed at B&B Ca Rosa with my family in a quadruple room for 5 days. The B&B is in quite and charming house located at beautiful Bergamo surroundings. The best was the hospitality offered by Pirangela that make us to feel like home. The breakfast was excellent and she gave us very good recommendations to go around. Don't miss the Como and Iseo lakes. The only inconvenient, just to say one, it is that it's quite difficult to find the house and you will need a car to get there.

Wonderful owner who really helped us with many things for example in learning to know places to go and car parking etc. in Bergamo. Rooms were clean and huge and the whole house was wonderfully cosy. Breakfast was more than enough. The views from our room and especially from our bathroom were breathtaking.

We cannot rate this property highly enough! Our room was clean, spacious and private and even came with a jug and tea and coffee - a rarity in Italy we found. The area that the property is in is beautiful - restored villas from the 1500s mixed with some modern additions. We saw pheasants running across the road on an afternoon walk! Gorgeous gardens and views to the old city of Bergamo. What makes this property really special though is as others have indicated - the warm and extremely helpful and obliging Pierangela. She made us feel so welcome, recommended a wonderful restaurant (Berardo in the old city) and even gave us a lift there because they were going in themselves. Do yourself a favour and book!

My wife and I were very warmly welcomed and very well hosted throughout our first visit to this B&B. Pierangela and her husband are clearly very enthusiastic about what they do and are very attentive to their guests. We would recommend a short holiday at Ca' Rossa to friends and family, provided they are not troubled by staying so far out of town.

We fell in love with Ca Rossa, Pierangela and her family -- this is just a wonderful place, both due to the lovely old but beautifully redecorated house and to Pierangela's wonderful way of making us feel welcome and taken care of. Lovely room, beautiful garden, amazing breakfast table with a wonderful view. We *must* come back here again. We will strongly recommend this place to anyone who does not need to stay in the city center but can appreciate the quietness and beauty of the "outskirts". (As for ourselves, we accepted Pierangela's pick-up service to and from the airport (very efficient), and walked and took the occasional bus ride between Ca Rossa, Citta Alta and the "downtown".) Please give Pierangela our best greetings when you check in! :)

A great place to arrive for an Italian holiday. We got there at 23:00 and were hungry .. all the restaurants were closed. The woman welcoming us went up to the kitchen and prepared a fruit plate, and some yogurt and muesli. We did find it hard to find the place according to the driving instructions. I had a GPS (Garmin which tried to lead us down a dead-end road but eventually worked out) without it we would not have found the place.

Pierangela is just incredible both as a host and specialy as a person - once being in Bergamo in Ca'Rossa you wouldn't like to stay anywhere else (except maybe the Alba Chiara in Citta Alta :)). Thank you very much Pierangela and Alfonso! Agnieszka and Kama from Poznan/Poland

We stayed for 3 nights at B&B Ca'Rossa. The location of Ca'Rossa is very nice and ideal for both visiting Bergamo and Milano. We really felt at home thanks to the hospitality of Pierangela and her husband Alfonso. The recommended Italian restaurant was excellent. E stato un soggiorno piacevole! Pierangela was a charming hostess. She introduced us to the other couple staying there from England as we ate breakfast together, gave us a wonderful recommendation of a nearby restaurant, graciously let me use her computer to let me check my emails, and, best of all, shared her recipe for creamy risotto!!! We also really enjoyed her garden, with swing, and hammock...a place to relax after a busy day of sightseeing!!!

Ca Rossa is an excellent bed & breakfast on the edge of Bergamo and we enjoyed staying there very much. The owner was warm and helpful. One time, she even drove into town so we could follow her to a restaurant. Showing us the route is easier than providing directions. Our room and bathroom were large and modern. We could open our windows and shutters and look out on a colorful garden with a green hillside as a backdrop. Looking the other direction was the skyline of upper Bergamo. Breakfast was the best we had in Italy. Fresh bread, varieties of cheese, and meat were provided in good quantities. The only down side is Ca'Rossa is difficult to find. Be sure to have precise directions. Overall, Ca'Rossa is pleasant with good access to the surrounding area. We definitely recommend it.

A fantastic place with a wonderful view overlooking the old town of Bergamo. Quiet and relaxing with a lovely flowering garden. Arriving a day early everything was fixed in no time, and we were warmly welcomed by the unique hosts of Ca Rossa. Marvellous breakfast in the garden. The absolute highlight of our 12 day trip from Paris to Bergamo.

Ca'Rossa is a fine, old Italian villa located on the edge of the countryside. Whilst it is very peaceful, it is conveniently located to the centres of Bergamo. Your own car though is very advisable. The couple running this B&B are most accommodating, extremely friendly and helpful without being intrusive. The breakfasts are a real treat and novel. The facilites are very clean and bathrooms a very high standard.

This is a lovely private house on the outskirts of the city. We would definitely go back - if we could find it again! It was very difficult to find, especially at night. Eventually we had to seek advice from local people and our Italian was not up to it! Take a taxi and pick up your hire car the next day!

We enjoyed our stay at Ca Rossa, the owners were very friendly and helpful, they suggested a great local Pizza resturant for our evening meal. The location was a little hard to find, but worth it, almost in the countryside, beautiful views and very quiet. The airport drop off service was excellent especialy at 5am in the morning. We would recommend this place to stay.

The B&B was fantastic, exceeded our expectations. We had the 4 bedded room, which had plenty of space for a family of four. The little balcony looking onto the lovely garden was great. The owner was very friendly. Breakfast was wonderful. We walked down to the nearest pizzeria for our evening meal, good value and very tasty. Would go again.
