This hotel was in a perfect location and directly across the street from the famous tapestery. We were visiting for pleasure and to fulfill my husband's dream of visiting the sites of World War II. The town alone was wonderful plus the proximity and access to the American Cemetery and The Beaches of World War II was ideal. The history of the Bed and Breakfast building was interesting. A mother and son own it and are very gracious and friendly. Our room was huge with two separate sleigh beds in addition to our bed. The bathroom was huge and newly redone and modernized! On the down side, Our bed seemed broken in the middle as we kept rolling inward and the mattress was rather thin. We would stay there again however.

Tardif is a beautiful house and luxurious place to stay that is surprisingly right in the middle of town. Off the busiest street in Bayeux (and so not part of the tourist traffic) it sits right between the Cathedral and the Tapistry museum. Excellent location. The property itself is stunningly quiet, though the walls are not soundproof--so you can have a noisy neighbor and the hallways echo when anyone comes or goes. But it is pretty quiet once everyone settles. I would NOT bring a baby here-- or, rather, I would not want a baby next door to me! Tardiff looks and is priced like a luxury property--and it is. Breakfast is excellent, served on fine china. The bedrooms could use a touch up in terms of linens and I'd suggest they offer nicer bath products (no one expects generic disposables for this kind of place). A little Occitane de Provence is more of what I expected. But I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Delightful accomodation and experience. Very accomodating hosts. Suggest arrival BEFORE sunset is a good idea. Parking entrance is on street perpendicular to address..watch out GPS users!

Very charming B&B and centrally located - easy walk to restaurants, shops and tour meeting place. Lovely garden. Breakfast was presented well and available early enough so we could get to our tour on time. Our room felt cold and damp (exactly like the day outside). The bed was not the most comfortable - too soft and sinking in the middle. Overall a pleasant stay.

Gorgeous old home with beautiful furnishings, lovely modern bathroom, gardens and parking in back, convenient to everything. Anthony Voidie was a marvelous host and gave great recommendations for dinner -our favorite "Le Petite Normand". Each morning a lovely buffet breakfast awaited us - we felt truly spoiled here. So many unique features to this home - the wood floors, moldings, personal items were all spectacular - we don't believe there is a nicer place to stay in Bayeux.

Excellent place to stay in Bayeux. Within a block of the Bayeux Tapestry, and the Cathedral. Short walk to excellent restaurants. Also walking distance to train station. Service and accomodations are excellent. We would definitely stay there again.

A charming and beautiful house. The opulent decor of the bedroom was very comfortable with splendid views over the garden. The staff were pleasant and helpful.

What a great place to stay if you are traveling in the Normandy region of France. All expectations were exceeded during our stay. Anthony is a warm and inviting host that provided suggestions on where to eat and places to visit. Accommodations for our rental car were a plus. If we had to do over again we would have stayed longer.

Great B and B. Unfortunately my nephew sat on a chair and it fell apart where it had been glued in the past. Another guest saw it happen. Despite this fact, my nephew was blamed for breaking the chair by the owner. I was asked to pay for the chair. I refused.

The garden was lovely and the hotel very peaceful in a really good central Bayeux location.Breakfast was lovely and fresh although always the same.Would have liked a bath rather than a shower in the en-suite bathroom and would have liked a kettle in the room for a cup of tea before bed.

The property is beautifully furnished and decorated. Something of a cross between a "hotel" and a Chambre de Hote. Being an old structure, the floors are somewhat creaky, but everything is in excellent condition, and the grounds are very pleasant. TIP - This was the only lodging we had in France where a washcloth was provided, so packing one would be a good idea.

The home is located in the town center, which was very convenient. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable. The owner was very welcoming and went out of his way to make recommendations for us and set up a rental car. Breakfast was wonderful and internet was free. I would love to stay there again!

My son and I had a lovely stay at the hotel Tardif, using it as a base to tour the D-Day beaches which were easily accessible. The hotel is in an excellent position in the beautiful town of Bayeux, close to all the shops and restaurants as well as the cathedral and Tapestry museum. Antony, the owner, spoke perfect English and has furnished the hotel with a beautiful selection of furniture. Breakfast, although an extra cost, was plentiful and served in an elegant dining room. Very relaxed, informal atmosphere

This hotel was absolutely the best we stayed in during an extensive (and multi-stop) trip throughout France. The rooms, dining room, and gardens were entirely lovely and well kept in all details. Charming gardens were in bloom. My only regret is that our sightseeing schedule did not permit more time to relax and hang out in the hotel. The setting would be perfect for afternoon tea or a glass of wine at sunset. The staff was also very helpful. After we left we went to two towns suggested by the owner, Anthony, and both were perfect short trips which I would not have made otherwise. His suggestions regarding restaurants were also great. In every way this was a perfect hotel, and I would gladly have stayed longer in Bayeux because of it.

Anthony was less than friendly when we arrived. The room was very nice, but they didn't leave us any towels the first night and we also ran out of toilet paper. The hotel was very pretty and in an excellent location, but the service left a bad taste in my mouth and I would not recommend staying here.

Nice Bed and breakfast. Beautiful and spacious rooms in the center of Bayeux with a lovely garden. Easy walking distance to many city sites including the Bayeux Tapestry (under 10 min walk). Only real complaint was you can hear almost everything going on in the Hotel...paper thin walls. Also, price was a bit high during my stay but paid it due to location. Finally, breakfast costs extra. I knew this when I booked but I am not big on breakfast but for those who love to start their day with a meal ikt will cost extra. Overall enjoyed the Hotel and my time in Bayeux.

Hotel Tardif was our most memorable stay in France. The setting is beautiful, right in the heart of the beautiful little town of Bayeux. We had a rental car, and with the security of the locked gates at night, this was a definite plus. Antony was a real gem, very helpful with our travel plans and dining options. Would certainly return again.

I was travelling with my husband and 5 month old baby. The welcome we received was very warm and professional and we were shown to our room promptly and explained all the relevant information. Shortly after our arrival, the proprietor himself came to our room to introduce himself and welcome us. This was a nice touch. The team at the Tardif were very helpful regarding our baby and offered us a cot for her, although we had our own, so this was unnecessary. In the morning at breakfast, the owner himself personally saw to it that our baby's bottles were filled with cooled boied water. The room was lovely, breakfast was fairly standard continental breakfast, but was served in a lovely room. The location of the Tardif is excellent. It is right in the centre of Bayeux, but despite this, it is quiet and there was no noise from the town. We will defintely stay there again should we find ourselves in Bayeux again.

This gem of a hotel is located right in the heart of Bayeux. We were greeted warmly by Anthony upon arrival and were even provided with on-site parking even though through a mix up of e-mails he did not expect us to come with a vehicle. Our room was lovely and a good size on the ground floor and looked out onto a lovely and peaceful courtyard. The bathroom was clean, spacious and with modern fixtures(shower only but we knew this before arrival.) Our room was a little chilly later in the day and I spoke to Anthony about this and while we were out to dinner he turned on a small heater located on the wall of the room and provided us with an extra blanket. The room was so warm and cozy and we didn't even need the blanket. We had breakfast at the hotel both mornings we were there for 7 euros extra per person. It was simple yet abundant and delicous (coffee or tea served with steaming cream, an assortment of fresh pastries and breads, jams, fresh fruit, juice and yogurt) and well worth the money given the fact that it's served in a beautiful room and we got to mingle with other guests. We also got to choose the time we would like to eat which was much appreciated. The grounds surrounding the building are beautiful and spacious. We absolutely loved our stay at this hotel and would love to return there someday. Thank you so much for making our stay so wonderful and sharing your wonderful home with us.

Excellent value for money and a lovely house with quality furnishings and a great garden. Perfectly situated for exploring the town and quite easy to find. Shared the room Baron d'Ussel with my brother- plenty of space and a nice looking room. Only two very minor negative surprises- there is a great big window in the bedroom but it is all frosted glass so you can't see out. Also when paying by card we wanted to split the bill but it is a 100 euro minumum per card, so we couldn't do that and one of us paid the whole bill. But they were minor problems and overall it was excellent. I would definitely stay there again if I was visiting Bayeux. The town is great too!

Owner's son was insufferably rude. Our request to have breakfast at 8:00 am on Monday morning was responded with, "I'm not sure, I will try."

The Inn was delightful, beautiful, quiet, and very centrally located. The owners were friendly and helpful as well as very personable. Anthony speaks excellent English. We will stay there again when we return. The breakfast was a bit on the skimpy side for the price. It would have been more filling if eggs were offered or cereal of some sort. The breads were nice but a bit too many carbs.

The owner, Andrew, met us at the door with a huge bouquet of flowers for my wife for our 25th wedding anniversary! I had just mentioned that it was our anniversary trip when I booked the room. We were floored! The restaraunt that Andrew suggested was close, well priced, and excellent! Situated right in the middle of town and right behind the cathedral, the hotel is gorgeous and well appointed! We had a great stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone! Thanks, Andrew, for such a great experience!

The accomodations were excellent, providing everything that could be needed at a great price given that Bayeux is in the middle of a huge tourist region. But the best part of the stay was the service provided by Anthony and the staff. Anthony set me up with a great WWII tour company, the rooms were kept exceptionally clean, great breakfasts were offered, and they even accomodated me when I got sick for a day or so and was in the room most of the time. HIGHLY recommended!
