The room was very nice - comfortable and quiet. I would have liked to have had a few more items for breakfast - just juice, rolls and coffee was less than I was hoping for. The host was helpful in directing us to the hotel but I would suggest having printed directions to assist as it is a bit complicated. Good value for the price and a lovely area.

If you want a place that is truly the flavor of the French countryside, La Foulerie is it. We stayed there in June for three days and it was all we expected and more. Jean Luc is so welcoming, helpful and kind. From the minute we arrived, I felt at home there. The rooms were VERY nice and you could tell that alot of thought went into every detail. I am a traveling artist and I painted the road leading into their gate, explored the Chateau of Balleroy, D-Day beaches and Bayeux. All within easy driving distance. Mt St Michel is also close. I plan to return.. with my art-traveling friends..again and again. Some helpful hints: -Enlarge a map of the area if you dont have GPS...and its easier to navigate the small country roads than you might think, keeping the highway numbers in mind. -Here's a picture of the dairy..good to know that the small road to La Foulerie is literally JUST before. There's a small sign. -Plan your day to have dinner in a larger city.. the local villages dont have much to choose from.

We enjoyed our stay at the Foulerie - we were warmly welcomed, the rooms were spotless and were as described. The house is set in a very tranquil area. The breakfast was fresh and there was plenty to eat - we took the leftovers with us to eat later in the day.

Jean-Luc was friendly and very helpful and spoke good English even though my wife can speak French. Like home from home. Would stay there again. Directions not great - the Dairy does not have a Dairy sign on it - it is called "Vrai- D'agriculture Biologique"! The Lane to La Foulerie is directly opposite.

We enjoyed are stay here. It was in the country but easy to find. The dairy is quite obvious even to us and we live in the city. The nearest selection of decent restaurants was in Villers-Bocage about 10 miles away. Everything from pizza to gourmet.

Jean-Luc welcomed us and made us feel totally at home for 3 days. We could happily have stayed for much longer and would love to return one day.

La Foulerie made our stay in Normandy wonderful. The host and hostess were so helpful and accomodating for us, and the room was spotless and uniquely interesting. We would certainly go back there if we return to Normandy in the future.

Lovely farmhouse in quiet setting in pretty countryside, close to motorway. It took us 35 minutes to drive to Bayeux on pleasant country roads but it is ideal for visiting the Bocage and the Normandy beaches. Rooms well appointed and owner very friendly and helpful.

Jean-Luc is a marvelous host. The place is wonderfully charming. The only thing I would like to change is to remove the footboard on the bed so a tall person can fit well without hitting one's feet on the board at the end of the bed. It is much better to have one's feet hang over the end than to have them hit the board. Thank you.

While directions were in fact accurate would help if location of dairy was better described as on the edge of the village.

Jean Luc was the perfect host during our stay at his home in Normandy. The surroundings were tranquil, while within easy reach of Caen, Bayeux, the Normandy Beaches, Mont St Michel, and of course, the local township of Villers-Bocage. Pets Rosanne and Neptune were also very welcoming. Highly recommended to all those considering a stay in Normandy.
