B&B Eixample-Muntaner - Barcelona
Calle Muntaner 4 - Barcelona
877-662-6988The comfort and the rest are assured because of the tranquillity of the zone and the amplitude of the individual beds (1,35m of wide) like of the doubles (1,50m).
White is the colour that predominates in the decoration of the splendid rooms that compose the apartment as well as in the kitchen and rooms, a tone that reaffirms the cleaning, the prevailing order and comfort.
Like counterpoint, the apartment is decorated with pieces of baroque furniture - small tables, and armchairs, that give it a noticeable style and own personality.
All this, in addition to the cordiality and professionalism of our responsible of the hostel staff, ready to take care of our guests any time which makes your visit to Barcelona and our apartment a pleasant unforgettable experience.
Excellent central location, very kind staff, only 1 minor point: small space for breakfast.

Diego was a great host at the B & B and a wealth of information as to what restaurants, shops, bus schedules and other happenings of good to know info. A great location in downtown Barcelona! Great Job and a great stay for my holiday vacation. Thanks Diego!!!!

Wonderful B&B near University of Barcelona, just one Metro station from the Plaza Catalunya where Las Rampblas starts. Nice Neighborhood! We had a spacious, really comfortable Double Room (streetside)- but it was quite noisy with open window and because of the breakfast table just outside. So, ask for a room on the backside, then it will be an excellent experience!

B&B in very good location, very close to city center, Rambla, 2 metro lines, a lot of bus lines to all Barcelona directions. Rooms are clean, contains only basic furniture, mobile airconditioner was working well but really noisy. Room was not oriented to the street but to small in-block area, but there was noise from airconditioners used in other rooms. B&B staff was very helpful, breakfast was OK, we did not need anything more. Price could be lower as except location and availability of kitchen (we did not really used) there is low real additional value. Anyway we can recommend.

We are a married couple; 60 years old. Apartment is within easy walking distance to the Ramblas, cathedral, and Picasso museum. We also walked to the Sagrada Familia but it was a ways. Subway, buses, and taxis very easy. The resident staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Healthy breakfast. We met some nice people from Sweden and Greece. We enjoyed the stay.

The room is clean, large and nice. The location is very central, near the bus stop to the airport. The city could be visited by foot. The breakfast is not very tasty but there is plenty of food. The personal is friendly and helpful.

From the Airport if you take the Aerobus get off at Placa de Universitat - this will save you from lugging your baggage from Placa Catalunya which is more than a kilometre away. On your way back, catch the Aerobus at the bus stop at the crossing of Calle Sepulveda & Calle Comte d'Urgell which is 3 blocks away. At the wrought iron door of no.4 there is no indication of the apartments. Press button for 2nd floor to speak to the caretaker who will let you in. They don't accept credit card, only euros in hard cash; so be prepared for some silly excuse. We stayed for 4 nights; the first 2 confined in a small room, then on insisting we were given a room large enough to stretch ourselves without hitting each other. The rooms and the entire apartment are very clean and comfortable. The affable Filipino caretaker quite helpful. The breakfast fare is simple but ample. The air is homely. This is a quiet place yet close to the old city. You can hop onto a metro from Universitat station situated nearby. There are enough eateries around, and a nice lounge bar next door. Wish they would use Google map instead of some dodgy map for location.

Wonderful host. Great location and value for a major city. The rooms were spotlessly clean and the public areas were comfortable and welcoming. Our host, Diego, was warm and had some excellent suggestions about places to visit and how to get around. Throughly enjoyed our stay.

Muntaner is in a very convenient location in Barcelona. The host, Diego, was friendly and helpful and our room was clean, comfortable and basic. The ensuite was clean and modern. The kitchen, lounge and dining area shared with other guests was very good and the breakfast was ample. The location map on the web site before travelling was extremely poor - scanned in low resolution from a card and completely useless without spending time trying to match it with a proper street map of Barcelona. This has now been replaced on the web site with an excellent fully-scalable map. The written travel directions from the airport suggest taking the blue bus to Plaza Catalunya. However, the stop before this, Plaza Universidad, is quite a lot nearer and the driver called out when we were there. During our stay we used the metro. It is clean, modern, efficient and easy to use. We bought one ten-trip card for the metro, allowing the 2 of us to make 5 journeys together. Overall, we enjoyed the apartment and Barcelona very much.

B&B Muntaner catered for our groups needs very well. We were impressed with the location and the cleanliness of the appartment and the helpfulness of the staff especially Diego. We would not hesitate to recommend to friends and would be happy to return for another trip.

Diego, our host, could not have been more welcoming and helpful. We had several personal challenges, but he was reassuring and helpful in every regard. As senior citizens, we found the experience an adventure, but we were up to it. The other guests we saw there were much younger than we are.

This is an excellent bed & breakfast, in a good location. Diego, the resident manager couldn't be more accommodating. He had lots of suggestions for getting around. We found a great little Tapas restuarant just a block or so away; gives you a good flavour of some Spanish foods. We also suggest a couple of days seeing Barcelona on the Hop-On-Hop-Off buses - buy them on-line before you leave North America to get a discount. Highly recommend Muntaneer B $ B as your accommodation in Barcelona.

Very important:The bed was very hard. On the last night my wife had to use the pillow as softer layer!A thin Tempura mattress on the present bed would fix this matter. Breakfast is good, but the MANAGEMENT should provide fresh bread and croissants, the very simple loaf of bread to be toasted and the packed, fat croissants are really not matching the overall impression of the B+B, with the really friendly and helpful staff (Diego and Alex). If beds are softer, we would certainly return!!!

After the initial welcoming we felt a coolness and distance from the host. We expected a friendlier atmosphere from a B&B.

We stayed just 3 days in barcelona, from the apartment it takes only 5 minutes to reach La Rambla and Plaza de Catalunya by feet, Metro is right behind the corner. The apartment is clean and beautiful, rooms are small but welcoming, bathroom is perfect. Employees are nice and helpful, and there are a lot of guides and leaflets, very useful (tip: best map for Barcelona's monuments and museums is the one which is supposed to be used only for the nightlife!!!). Breafast is complete (keep considering that we are Italian). We really enjoyed our stay!!!

I was impressed of interior decor and cleanness. Breakfast was really gorgeous. I enjoyed everything. A little shortcoming was view from the window of my room but it was not so important for me. Also I expected proper A/C as it was written on website, not only fans cause they were bit noisy and not so eficient. Anyway I will recomend this B&B and use it in the future with pleasure.

Nice and friendly host. The room is big enough if you don't plan to spend a lot of time in it for the whole stay. I advise you to spend maximum time out in Barcelona instead of sleeping:-). The rooms are clean, the kitchen is nice though the breakfast is basic, but you can bring your own food and put it in the refrigerator in shared kitchen. We met different people there, family, couples and a group of young people which means that the B&B is suitable for everyone. The location is great - relatively quiet street in the peaceful area in the center of the city. All in all, i would come back.

Diego is a most warm and competent host who speaks perfect English and is entirely helpful and gracious. He made our stay a great pleasure. We liked all aspects of the rooms and the general apartment. We would certainly stay there again. The location is great for both the old city and the fashionable uptown areas. We were able to walk everywhere. The other guests were from Europe, US, Australia, all friendly and nice. We recommend highly.

We wish the employee in charge had been better able to ensure the quietness of the place at night as some of the other guests proved very noisy. Otherwise we would recommend the place if you are not bothered by the noise in the other rooms.
