B&B Born-Via Laietana - Barcelona

Service can be better.

It was ok for a B&B, however if I book and receive an adress and then I have to go somewhere else to check-in this is annoying. I would have liked to know first that there is a central reception desk somewhere else where I have to go to.

Location is good and that's it. Staff was not helpful, did not give any instruction regarding how I can use the kitchen, how to get new towels. Furthermore they did not do what I asked to do, such as clean my room, empty the trash bin. After I left there I asked them why I was treated like that. I have not heard from them for 10 days. I do not want to spend 70 euro for "just a sleeping place" not even a B&B.

The apartment and the rooms were nice, staff was friendly although we had to wait when arriving because no one was there. It was quiet load with Via Laietana beneath our window.

Very clean and comfortable rooms for the price, especially for the excellent location. It is within walking distance of all the city action.

Location very good. Is a place for young people that want to be alone and independent, there is a kitchen for you to cook.

Great place to stay near center of Barcelona. Main problem is with finding the the place and getting in touch to sign in. Owners should look to provide more information (i.e. 48 vs 48A) on location and possibly post a sign with contact info on outside of building. Room was great although there is some street noise. The host was very friendly and helpful. There was lots for breakfast and a common area for sitting etc. I would highly recommend this as a place to stay for someone interested in visiting Barcelona especially if accessing the old part of the city on foot.

It was a lovely room new, and eaven tough the shower was outside it was very clean and big. Excelent hotel and price!

Well located but was not an appartment but a room in an appartment. It was not an hotel and there was no reception. It looks like a sleepingroom in a private appartment. Not well indicated. Not to recommend

This B&B is great for those traveling on a small budget, not planning to spend much time in the room, and are looking for somewhere safe, and clean to stay. It is a very simple B&B, the rooms are mostly small and bare (two beds, nightstands,and a wardrobe for clothes), but they are VERY clean. If you are lucky, you will have a mirror in your room and there are NO tv's in any of the rooms. The shared bathrooms aren't too bad, and are kept clean. The complimentary breakfast is nothing but bread and cereal...we found it not worth our time. When checking in, make sure you CALL AHEAD of time to ensure someone is there! Let them know when you are arriving. After we checked in, we never saw the woman running the B&B again. The location is the best part, you are in Barri Gotic a central location and close to all sightseeing destinations. Overall our stay was good, I would definitely recommend to young college students traveling in groups!!

Actually the apt was well situated but the whole was handled by a nice waitress that was ordered of not annoying the owner!!! Moreover the noise was really too much and the air conditioning was only inside of the rooms but not in the public areas so that you could not even use the kitchen or watch tv. The breakfast was quite poor. Last but not least the bathrooms were shared with other people. At the end I did not get any receipt in spite of the fact that I asked for it. Fortunately Barcellona is a wonderful town and I was happy to be there.

Via Laietana is very noisy (even during the night, noises from cars and underground) but close to the historical center and the underground. The breakfast is very simple (factory-baked bread, juice from cartons, and if you are among the first to take your breakfast there are eggs, or tortilla, or pancakes). There is a constant effort to keep bathroom installations clean. The double room is not like in the picture on the website (smaller, white paintwork) but comfortable.

The owner kept us outside for 3 hours before he came to show us our room. In rest we were pleased with the services and we enjoyed our stay here.

The room was very good, but the traffic sound from the street was so overwhelming, that we did not have one good nights' sleep. Personnel was very kind and helping, but could not alter the traffic situation, of course. We would never go there again, as long as there are no well fitted double glass windows or other isolating measures.

Das B&B Laietana ist in einer charmanten Wohnung in zentraler Lage untergebracht. Die Zimmer sind schön und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Die zuständige Dame ist sehr hilfsbereit und sympathisch. Besonders sind uns die Sauberkeit von Zimmer und Bad aufgefallen. Obwohl es öffentliche WC und Duschen gibt, sind sie immer äusserst sauber. Super! Was uns gestört hat, ist der Strassenlärm. Die via Laietana ist eine breite Strasse und sehr befahren. Wenn wir das Fenster aufmachten, war der Lärmpegel sehr hoch. Aber auch bei geschlossenem Fenster war der Lärm gut zu hören. Unser Tipp: Ja, zum B&B aber unbedingt ein Zimmer wählen, dass auf den Hinterhof zeigt.

Staff was very helpfull and frendly. Breakfast was good. Nights were noisy but we sleep tite. The relationship between price and quality was ok.

This was a great hotel...the breakfast provided was wonderful and the staff was very helpful. It was a little bit loud, but that is to be expected anywhere in downtown Barcelona, especially on a main street. Rooms were large, clean, and though there were shared bathrooms, multiple bathrooms ensured we never had to wait to use the facilities. Parking in the area is a concern, and we ended up paying for parking in and underground facility.

Hello, This a very good location and clean, staff is kind. Two problems: 1/ the picture of the rooms do not correspond reality,(01/09) what you see is not what you get, rooms are smaller, all white, not with the warm decoration you see on internet. 2/ it is VERY noisy ! the room is on a big avenue on the first floor.and the metro is running under your bed.:( Ok if you're back at one 'o clock and up at seven. (plus the shower is very narrow, and water tepid.)
