The setting and surroundings of Ville Il Colle is absolutely beautiful. The courtyard is precious, comfortable, we stayed in the huge, georgeous suite with a view of Florence in the background. The breakfast was delicious, home-made pastries, American coffee, juice. However, if you are going to stay at Ville Il Colle, I highly recommend renting a car to get there. The walk to the local village Antella is easy, but if you need to get anywhere else, good luck. The website indicates that they will take you where ever you need to go, but they are not as accomodating as suggested. We needed to get to our wedding site, only about 2 kms away, and the owner called us a taxi. It cost us 50 euro for a round-trip ride, about 4 kms total if that, an absolutely outrageous price. If we hadn't been in our wedding clothes we oould have easily walked it. Also, our suite looked over their private back yard, which was beautiful, but they had friends over late one night and were sort of loud, which was pretty distracting and a little bit rude.
