Classic Amsterdam terrace in a really convenient location, along a quiet side street just around the corner from canals, the tram and the museums. The room and bathroom were large, comfortable and decorated in a minimalist style (a door for the bathroom would be welcomed). Great breakfast. Would recommend the rooms on the lower floor which would have a little more privacy, less noise from breakfast room and also less stairs to climb, they are very steep. Beautiful, stylish and convenient accommodation in Amsterdam.

Sadly we only had one night at La Remise before heading to Den Hague to catch up with friends. The overall description is comfortable, stylish and welcoming, with a touch of luxury. The room was spacious with great natural lighting from three external windows. The decorating was in a minimalist style, but the room had everything needed - a desk, wonderfully comfortable bed with nice bedding, bedside tables and lamp, plentiful power outlets and a large flat screen TV and DVD player for those who want to include screen based activities as part of their stay. The bathroom was gorgeous - including a bath!There were lots of nice thoughtful touches - from the great smelling toiletries supplied to the helpful local information through to the help provided to carry a heavy bag up the stairs. The delicious and plentiful breakfast was prepared by the host, with a generous (and not too early) time slot available for guests to avail themselves of it. The location is great, with easy access from the central train station by tram, and within easy walking, or riding, access of a range of great restaurants and shops (or window shopping for those on a straightened budget). I will definitely be staying at La Remise next time I come to Amsterdam - presuming it doesn't get booked solid from months ahead.
