Excellent B&B solution, just hard to climb on the really step stairs, however part of the "local" appeal of the place!

Pleasant and spacious room, well equipped with everything you could need - the owners have anticipated everything and were very welcoming. The location is great: close to the centre of Amsterdam but in a quiet neighbourhood. Highly recommended.

This is a very nice so-called a Bed&Breakfast hotel. The Balcony room, which we rented, is spacious and well decorated. The breakfast was always good in terms of quality and quantity. We can recommend this quiet and private place for many different kind of tourists.

This was a great location, really close to the tram into the centre and had a good mix of restaurants and bars that were cheaper than the restaurants in the more touristy areas. It had the luxury of a hotel (coffee machine, fridge, massive bed etc) with the convenience of a hostel (own cooking facilities, free access to a computers, guide books etc) The best bit though was the fully stocked fridge on arrival which even got restocked in the week all included in the price!

Excellent adress ! we recommend to all persons, in couple, who want to have a very nice place to stay a few days in Amsterdam. The room is spacious, very comfortable bed, the breakfast ( in supplement ) is really great, the living room is very nice, and you can reserve your ticket for museums while taking your breakfast :-)) The quarter of Pijp is a very pleasant quarter, whith shops and restaurants, far from the touristic ways :-) Go, go and you'll be happy ! Thanks a lot for the welcoming :-)) if we want to go back to Amsterdam ( lovely town ! ) we shall book to Adriaen van Ostade ! Christian & Armelle

We picked the top room as it was winter, perfect to have more space and no need for a balcony. Jasper is a great host, no worries.

Our stay at B&B Adriaen van Ostade was amazing : we were warmly welcomed by our host Jasper, who even helped us with our luggage since the room was at the top of a building with steep stairs. The rooms were incredibly spacious, provided with every facility we could have needed (a cupboard in the wall to store our rope, a fridge with a few drinks in it, a modern TV set), and with comfortable beds ! It made us feel we were not in a hotel but rather at home. Surrounding the B&B are a few cafés and a little supermarket which stays open by night, and the "De Pijp" district is calm and did not seem insecure at all to me, so you can walk the streets at any time of day. The B&B is also located not far from the Museum Quarter (where are the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum), from the Cuyp Market, and from the Leidseplein and Rembrandtplein, where you can find lots of restaurants, cafés and bars with live music. Hope you will enjoy B&B Adriaen van Ostade as much as we did !

I stayed in Amsterdam for 3days for a short holiday. I arrived on the day of my birthday from Warsaw and was so glad to have this place during my short trip to Amsterdam. This B&B is a very nice place to stay, though a little farther from the main sites, its very accessible to the tram line. Very quiet neigborhood and with acessible grocery shop just in the other street. The host Jasper is very helpful. Its like your own home away from home. I had a very pleasant stay in here.

We stayed there for 2 days and really enjoyed the city and quality of the room. The room was huge and of perfect quality. The fridge was full of snacks and drinks. Coffee machine, Plasma, DVD player, table to have breakfast in the room. Very high standard, very satisfied.

There was not only a bottle of wine in the fridge but also icetea, beer, water, juices and a plate of fresh fruits. the rooms are spacious and quiet and tastefully furnished. Free Internet access. But the surroundings are nothing for children because of the halfnaked prostitutes in the windows.

Jasper was extremely welcoming and friendly, we immediately felt at home. The overall facilities were absolutely lovely, very spacious rooms, they are much bigger than they look in the photos (even though they don't look small in the pictures either). Would definately stay here again, should we return to Amsterdam (which is very likely) and will be recommending to others.

Top Room was excellent and very comfortable - fantastic place if you want to stay local and quiet, but yet in walking distance to city. Owner, Jasper, was really welcoming and serviceminded.......If any downside at all, breakfast could have been one nudge better quality and price is a little high compared to location.....I would recommmend the place to my friends any time and would return next time.

Overall, the stay was nice. The shared living room are big enough plus provided lots of books about Amsterdam. There is even a computer available in the living room for public use and it is a big bonus and very useful for traveler indeed. Owner is nice and very helpful. He helped us a lot and even bring our very heavy baggage through those narrow stairs to 2nd and third floor. Location is not near central train station, you need to have a 5 minutes walk to take the tram to downtown. However, the washroom of balcony room are quite small.... but this is the only negative thing i could think of and actually not quite a big problem as we only use it less than an hour a day.

We had a really great stay, the best B & B I have ever been. Lots of extra's: bottle of wine, chocolates, complimantary beer and cola, coffee and tea, wifi, airco (the room is sunny on the southside with big windows, so we needed it), etc. The room was spacious, quiet and clean. We loved the area, centrally located and lively.

Excellent B &B, centrally located in the Pijp, one of the best parts of town. The nicely decorated room is spacious, clean and complete. The accomodation offers total privacy, getting our own key. A complimentary bottle of wine, chocolates, a fridge filled with cola, etc (free), wifi, etc is in room. The breakfast was excellent in the livingroom area and at convenient times (between 6 and 12). In the livingroom are also free maps and tourist info available. We really felt at home. Friendly helpfull owners.

Adorable, comfortable and marvelously kept property. Lovely surroundings. Super easy to reach. Only disadvantege: no elevator, which makes desplacement of luggage a little tricky, but on the other hand, inAmsterdam this is the standard.

Our stay there was excellent. The rooms are really nice: spacious, luminous with comfortable beds and many conveniences such as satellite TV, DVD player, Internet (Wifi), coffee and tea-machine. The leaving-room is also a pleasant room, with a modern and fully equipped kitchen. The area the B&B is located in is also very nice: not too far way from the centre (15-20 min. from the station by tram) and in a quiet, yet “friendly” residential area, which is thus not touristy, with nice bars and restaurants. The price of the rooms was more than we initially budgeted, but then it’s a luxury B&B, and the relationship price/quality is still good. We appreciated the welcoming of the person in charge of the B&B: the explanations and tips given to us were very useful, and the "landlord" was readily available per mail or telephone for questions or problems.
