We had a lovely large room with a good bathroom. The large balcony had extensive views overlooking olive groves and fields with sheep, goats and donkeys. Our host was very welcoming and friendly. The breakfast was excellent, too, with home made cake, fresh orange and fresh goat's milk (still warm!). The only disadvantage was that it wasn't very near a restaurant.

Villa Diana is absolutely beautiful. Our room and bathroom were spacious with a balcony overlooking the valley behind the property. Dario, the host, is kind, friendly and very helpful and speak English well. He gave us accurate driving instructions from the Villa Diana back into Agrigento to see the Valley of the Temples and to our next destination the following day. He also recommended a good restaurant in Agrigento named, Kokalos, with a view of the temples that are lighted at night. The breakfast provided was good Dario brought us some delicious cannoli that he just made. The only drawback to staying at the Villa Diana is that it can be hard to find, especially after dark, because some roads aren't well marked and S.S. 640, that main route from Agrigento to S.S. 122 where the villa is located, is incomplete and under construction: printed maps and Google maps make no mention of this. A GPS is highly recommended. Dario did, however, provide updated driving instructions with our confirmation on how to reach the villa. We would definitely stay there again and highly recommend Villa Diana.

An excellent hotel run by an extremely enthusiastic and proud Sicilian who could not have been more helpful. The only drawback is that you are out in the sticks and therefore need to drive for evening meals. However the place itself is fanfastic, full of old world charm. Can be difficult to find as road signs not plentiful.

Huge rooms; beautiful interior. Hotel entrance was right off a busy road and had a closed gate that you had to get out and buzz to get in. The breakfast was very good. Our host, Dario, spoke decent English. there were friendly dogs about, and an interesting goat herd and a few donkeys alsoon the property. would definitely go back.

Just minutes drive from the valey of temples, and from the town Agrigento. In a farm outside the town. Large and nice rooms. Commune living room with wi-fi. Spacious bathroom (needs more water pressure). Nice continental brekfast served in beautiful dishes. We tasted fresh goat milk from the rare local goats he raises in the farm.

This is a wonderful accommodation. Rooms were very spacious, spotless and lovely bathroom. There was the added bonus of a large balcony with a teriffic view - balcony so large it had a table for 4 in addition to lounge chair. Our host, Dario, did everything to make our stay pleasant. Breakfasts were delicious and travel information to surrounding areas including restaurants was great. I would recommend Villa Diana to anyone who enjoys great accommodations for great value. It was perfectly located to visit Valley of the Temples and other attractions without being in the city.

Ideal for visiting the valley of the temples. The building itself was uninspiring from the outside but appearances are deceptive. Inside the room was spotless and thoughtfully arranged with a spacious terrace. The breakfast was personalised and of a very high quality. Better than most hotels I have spent time in. The owner did his maximum to welcome us and to offer assistance. We left full of admiration for this B and B and can fully understand why it receives such a high rating in Trip Advisor. Complimenti!

The only problem we had with Villa Diana was that it was not near any place to eat in the evening so after a day of sightseeing, we had to drive aways to find a restaurant. Other than that, it was the most fantastic place we stayed on Sicily!

This place is wonderful-elegant, gracious, and very underpriced. The owner is extremely helpful and simpatico. We hated to leave. It is his family home and he makes you feel like a cherished guest there. The views from the large balconies add to the feeling of serenity, so lovely after the chaos of Italian roads.

One of the most enjoyable places we have stayed in touring Italy and Sicily. Our host was gracious, generous and made us feel at home. Dario provided helpful, exact information regarding the sights to see, restaurants to eat in. The night of arrival was stormy and he offered to cook a meal for us, served it in our room on a separate table, linens, wine etc. We particularly enjoyed the rural atmosphere, animals and fresh air. The structure was not the typical Italian architecture, but don't let that fool you, the interior is gorgeous, loaded with antiques, yet the most modern and beautiful furniture and the bath room was outstanding. For persons who appreciate the rural atmosphere and yet, want to be close to sites and roadways, this is a winner.

Dario was very welcoming and kind. He went out of his way to make us welcome and he gave us all the information that we needed for our visit to the area. The B and B is just a few kms from the Valley of the Temples and we would highly recommend the accommodation. Much easier to park here than attempt to park in Agrigento. Breakfast on the patio was lovely. Dario's attention to detail was very much appreciated.

A wonderful place for visiting The temple Valley. We have been delighted by this extraordinary house, the spacious rooms, the quality of the service... The breakfasts were delicious and we have appreciated the fruits from the garden, the local honey, the delicious milk from the Sicilian goats. Our host was speaking french fluently and we had a great pleasure to discuss with him on Agrigente as well as the way of life in Sicilia. We recommend Villa Diana highly.

Everything about it was wonderful! Accomodations were beautiful with great attention to detail. The proprietor couldn't have been more helpful- he spoke little English which was a bit difficult but he went out of his way to be accommodating in any way he could. He reccommended places to eat and places to see-drawing maps for us that were very helpful. Location is perfect-just minutes from the Temples. Potential guests should be aware that there are farm animals on the property-donkeys start braying in the early morning and there are goats and several dogs. We enjoyed this but others may not. The breakfast was simple but delicious and he has his own olive oil which you can purchase.

A car is a must. The host Mr. Dario Spadaro is gentle, friendly and helpful. The restaurant he recommended offers low price high quality food. he also offered everything you need to know about Temple Valley and Agrigento coast. He lent me a book which helped a lot. The house and the room can't be better. My wife and I also love his three bright dogs and lovely goats. The view was morvelous, too.

We stayed at this B&B for 3 nights in late September 2008. Dario and his sister Diana are simply wonderful hosts: sharing, warm, informative, and deeply attached to their land. Since there are many pics of the beautiful interior in other blogs, we are publishing only the views of the property from the terrace. It appears quite desolate hence the climate in that part of Sicily is extremely dry. If you do not mind driving through the hilly and winding country roads, particularly at nights after dining or shopping in the town of Agrigento, this B&B is the real jewel. Enjoy!

Villa Diana is excellent: clean and very big rooms, very good breakfast and most of all the owners are incredibly kind. They gave us a lot of good advice in order to visit the more interesting places in Agrigento. Villa Diana is few km far from the center of the city and from "La Valle dei Templi". It's necessary to have a car, but if so it's an optimum solution, since in the city is crowdy and the traffic is often jammed in its narrow streets. I will surely go back there!

We stood in a room for four people, very big and clean. The room is in the second floor, but they have elevator. Dario gave us a excelent tratment. The breakfast was generous. The only inconvenience was with the sun. At morning the sun aroused us, because the curtains do not hide it. This only happens in rooms of the second floor.

Villa Diana is a wonderful place to stay -- a quiet, comfortable B & B near the Valley of the Temples and away from Agrigento. The spacious rooms are furnished beautifully and the baths are ultra modern. The owner is gracious, helpful and speaks several languages. A car is absolutely essential and directions to the hotel must be followed exactly. We had no problems with driving in the area, although Agrigento itself might be challenging. Avoiding the city and staying at Villa Diana was the perfect choice for us, and we would recommend it to anyone who enjoys luxury at a reasonable rate and the quiet of the countryside.

Only one word to say: PERFECT. Never been in a B&B with such a tastefully furnitured and decorated accomodation. If travelling with a navigation system don't use the Contrada Petrusa address. The room was clean and spacious with a huge beautiful bathroom. The breakfast served at Villa Diana is fantastic! We used the map from the Venere website and managed to find this place, but the printed website map was very small and hard to read. Waking to the sound of birds was refreshing after the noise of Palermo. The staff was most helpful and gave us a restaurant suggestion that turned out to be the best meal we had in our 18-day vacation. I would definately recommend this place!!

Somewhere a bit different. Inside the house is large, almost palatial and the owner is friendly and helpful. Only suggestion would be that outside could do with some work, a bit of a garden instead of a field and maybe a coat of paint. But don't take this as a criticism, as a place to stay near Agrigento, it's great and the directions were spot on (a surprise in Italy!). The recommended restaurant was fantatsic and not too far.

This b&b is located a few minutes drive from the valley of the temples, it is fairly straightforward to find following the directions on its own website, and the owners have put up some signposts of their own as well. The house is set off a quiet road, in a large plot of land. The owners couldn't be more welcoming, they take very obvious and well deserved pride in their business, the rooms are huge, with spacious balconies overlooking the land, and bathrooms you could get lost in. The furniture and soft furnishings are comfortable and good quality, our quilt was so light and fluffy we didn't want to get up in the morning! Our balcony overlooked the owners pet goats, a local breed, and their olive orchard - at breakfast you can sample the olive oil from these trees. Breakfast is served in a large, airy room downstairs, there is also a terrace they use in warmer weather. We were served a selection of fresh pastries, and some local products including cedro ( a variety of lemon found mainly in Sicily) and some local bread grilled and served with local sheeps milk cheese and olive oil from the trees outside. The owners were really keen to ensure we had an enjoyable stay, recommending a local restaurant that is known for serving regional specialities and suggesting a route so we could see the temples lit up at night, a spectacular sight. I don't think we could have asked for more, they made our stay very special.

My husband and I were touring the coast of Sicily and we had a wonderful stay at the Villa Diana after a visit to the Valley of the Temples. Our room was the size of two rooms, on the 3rd floor, looking over the fields with and olive trees. We met another American couple staying there and soon with the help of the proprietor and his lovely wife, the 6 of us were sharing, wine, cheese, almonds and cookies on the back veranda, as we watched the sun go down and the three goats and two dogs cavort. We had a marvelous time going to dinner with the couple and coming back met another two American travelers, so the 6 of us talked at breakfast until 11 am sharing our traveling stories, all this facilitated by our gracious hosts. What a delightful experience, in a beautiful and well appointed villa. Thank you Dario and Enza!

The sourranding of the B&B is poor (no flowers, no grass, few threes, ...) but inside the place is really confortable and well decorated, big rooms and confortable beds. With big balcony to relax. This B&B is slighlty off the beaten track being 5km from Agrigento but provides a welcome break from city centre hotels. The owner was extremely welcoming and friendly and provided excellent information about local attractions and places to visit. He has a good understanding and conversational level of English compared to many of the larger establishments in which the language barrier had been a small problem. Samples of Sicilian dishes were provided at breakfast in addition to the lovely breakfast.

You must take that right one and proceed until you will see the first fork: you must take the right Favara direction, too and you are on S.S. 122; follow always the indications to “Favara’’ and you will find, on your right hand side, the yellow label “ Villa Diana ” to the km.5.4.

From Palermo
Take the motorway “A19 PA-CT ’’- exit “Agrigento’’. Then you proceed on S.S. 121— S.S.189 and follow always the indication towards Agrigento. After you pass the Aragona’s fork (far only few kilometres from Agrigento's town), no turn to '' Favara'', but you proceed on S.S.189 towards Agrigento town, until to the km. 65, where the state street ends. Then you will arrive where the road is larger: only after passing under two elevated roads, now turn right to “Favara” . Now, you’re on S.S. 122; follow the indications towards “Favara’’ too and you will find, on your right hand side, the yellow label “Villa Diana” to the km.5.4.

From Catania (or Fontanarossa Airport in Catania) or Caltanissetta
Take the motorway “A19 PA-CT ’’, direction Palermo. Exit to “Caltanissetta’’ and follow the S.S. 640 direction Agrigento. Once you’ve arrived to the sign of km. 17 on this road, there is a deviation: you always follow the indications towards Agrigento and Siracusa and you proceed on S.S. 189 until to the km. 65, where the state street ends. After passing under two elevated roads, at the first fork, turn right to “Favara ”. Now, you’re on S.S. 122; from this moment follow only the indications towards “Favara’’ and you will find, on your right hand side, the yellow label “Villa Diana” to the km.5.4.

From SS 115 coming from Trapani (or Falcone and Borsellino Airport in Palermo)From Falcone Borsellino Airport: take the motorway “A 29’’ (Palermo-Mazzara del Vallo) and exit to “ Castelvetrano’’
From Trapani: take the motorway “A29 dir’’ and then the “A29” (direction “Mazzara del Vallo’’) until the exit to “Castelvetrano’’
In any case you find the exit to “Castelvetrano” and follow the S.S.115 direction to Agrigento.
Keep driving always on S.S. 115 and after passing the different exits to “Porto Empedocle” you can see on the right side the Agip petrol Station (about at km.182).
Immediately after the road splits in two; take left direction to Caltanissetta (don’t choose the direction to Agrigento!) and keep driving until a large traffic circle ‘’Rotatoria di Giunone’’ (under the hill with the Temple of Juno). Here, follow always direction to Caltanissetta (S.S. 640) and go on straight for 5 kilometres until you can see the “ERG” petrol Station in your right side. You must go beyond the “ERG” petrol pump. At the first fork (700 metres after the ERG station )you will turn right, and then turn again, but on the left. Now, you’re on S.S. 122. You will see Villa Diana to the km.5.4 on the right side.

From SS 115 coming from Gela
