I would say that the accommodation was very good, but the breakfast was poor. The room was clean, the bathroom as well, which I appreciate a lot. very hard to find the location as the road was broken and we was very lucky to be guided by a local person, who was lost in the dark night as well as us.

Signore Pierdomenico Amico, il padrone, is extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful. He met us on his moto and accompanied us as we lost our way about 10 minutes from the B&B! Good location to visit La Valle dei Templi as the bus stop is five minutes away and runs frequently enough. There is an excellent slow food restaurant (Trattoria Caico) in San Leone within 15-20 min walking distance. It is definitely possibile to park and walk during your stay. The B&B is in a residential district, quiet and peaceful with parking in front of the house. The room is comfortable and clean and and the breakfast is very good. Signore Amico speaks English but was willing to speak Italian with me. San Leone appears to have only one ATM and as it was Sunday we were unable to obtain cash! Bring euros with you!

Spanish and Portuguese young couple: The owner was really kind in all, flexibility about breakfast, explaining us interesting thing about the city and our car, etc. The only thing that you have to take in account before arriving is a map, if not is quite difficult to find! But all in all it was a goog experience to repeat in summer (very cheap!)

The owner was very kind and helpful. The room was adequate for one night. The breakfast was not very good - the owner prepared it himself and we ended up with burnt croissants and a very watery type of cappuccino. A quiet area with parking facilities. We ate in the Leon d'Oro. It was recommended but was not very good in quality/price/service.

The proprietor of this B & B is very professional and welcoming. The breakfast was very generous in size. The property is modern and in very good condition but the street and other surroundings are not so nicely kept. On the other hand, the Valley of the Temples and Beach resort San Leone Mare are quite close by.

If you go to Sicily and visit the main spectacular sites like Palermo and the Etna volcano, it would be a pity not to visit the city of Agrigento. The Temple Valley was an unforgettable adventure for us. We choose our accommodation in the holiday village San Leone on the seaside, near the city. The day after the reservation of the rooms we received an e-mail from our entertainer by which he offered his help to us, gave us his telephone contact data, gave us a detailed description and a map for a better orientation. When we arrived he greeted us friendly and his behaviour was characterized by this sympathy during the whole time. We could talk to him in English and Italian. The rooms and bathrooms are simple but clean and nice, and one can see that the holiday house is a quite new building. Cars find a secure parking in the forecourt. The seaside and the restaurants are within ten minutes walking distance. The rooms are air conditioned, are furnished with TV and bathroom and are comfortable for 2 or 3 persons. After our arrival the landlord gave us the key and we agreed in the breakfast time. The breakfast was fresh, varied and abundant. Friendly, kind service, comfortable, nice environment – we propose it to everyone.

The host was very good at coming to pick us up from the Agrigento bus-stop. We were in a flat attached to the house, but it had no kettle to make a hot drink when arrived about 8pm, and we didn't feel like knocking on their door to ask for some hot water in our thermos. We were asked at what time we wanted breakfast. We asked for 8am, but he wanted to sleep in and wanted 8 30. Being Kiwis, we went with that as to not make a fuss, but it did not help the rest of the day go smoothly with the travel connections. He forgot to get the bread for breakfast, so we had a croissant. That morning I got wet paint off the gate that we had not been told had been painted onto my new shorts.

The highlight of our stay was the very friendly welcome and assistance provided by the enthusiastic owner. Big pluses to note were the off street parking and the collection of old bicycles for use by guests. I'd hurt my leg that day and it was great to not have to walk to the beachfront. Would definitely stay there again. Denis

Proprietor was excellent, helpful and knowledgeable. Speaks English. Room very modern and nice bathroom. Breakfast was typical Italian, sweets. Not many good restaurants to choose from but the El Pescatore was excellent. Area a little run down but the property was secured and our car was parked inside the compound. Good value for the money. Cash required, no credit cards.

We spent one night one in march 2008 at Villa Amico. After flying overnight, it was so helpful to have someone willing to pick us up at the train station, to speak English. Our room was just renewed as the breakfast room The breakfast was excellent 2 creamy cappuccino , red orange juice and Sicilian specialities, both sweet and salty. We plan to recommend this B & B to anyone visiting agrigento. It was a great introduction to Sicily.

Our experience in Villa Amico was terrible!!!For starters, no one was there to receive us, we had to call to some cellphone number we luckily had and had to wait outside the property for someone to come open the door for about 20 minutes!! We were quickly showed our rooms (which we're not exactly what we ask for) and then we were left all alone. The property was clearly not ready to receive any guests, it looked abandoned and there were no common areas available. We agreed to have breakfast at 9am, but the guy didn't show 'til 9:30am (we had a schedule to follow!), when he told us that since the kitchen was been painted, he would take us out for breakfast. After going around town looking for something open, we finally had breakfast at a bakery store where he bought coffee and a bun for each! We've stayed in a few B&B's in Sicily, and this was by far the worst, totally unprofessional!

Finding this B&B is extremely difficult. The owner was not here when we arrived, and so we had to locate a telephone and call him then wait until he arrived. The room we had was located on the upper floor, but the owner did carry our baggage up to the room. The room was clean and comfortable. The owner served a standard Italian breakfast, and the pastry and bread was very fresh and tasty. The owner was helpful. The hotel is located about 10 blocks from the beach (San Leone).

Villa Amico is located in a quiet street in the residential area of San Leone, near Agrigento. It also has the benefit of secure parking. It is ideally located for visiting the Valley of Temples (give yourself 3 - 4 hours to do the temples and museum). Whilst there we also drove to a wonderful beach at Eraclea Minoa and spent an idyllic day sunbathing. Its about 30 km west of Agrigento on the road to Sciacca. The unspoily golden sandy beach goes on for miles, theres about 4 beach side bars/restaurants where you can get drinks and food plus sunbeds and parasols can be hired. Whilst in San Leone we ate out at Caico Restaurant (twice) and Il Pescatore. We can thoroughly recommend both of these, but our preference was for 'Caico'. The seafood was fantastic, and the atmosphere of sitting outside in the courtyard, under the grape vines was magical. Good value too ! Many thanks to Pierdominico for a great stay.

The owner is very nice, accommodating and extremely helpful. His English language skills were a bonus and the main reason that I booked my stay at his place (the price and location were the other two reasons). The property is clean, maintained, and safe with a place to park your car (parking space is at a premium in the area). Unfortunately for Pierdomenico, the town of San Leone needs to improve their signage to find his place. But, he is willing to meet you at a designated landmark for you to follow him to his property. My complaint would be the size of the shower stall and the lack of hooks in the bathroom.

The owner is the nicest man imaginable. He not only tells you how to get places, he hops in his car to lead you there! Rooms are plain, shower stall small, and towels not changed the second day, but the value is great. It would have been nice if the breakfast had fruit, but I'm sure if you asked, he would provide it. As others have written, a very helpful Owner. Found the place OK using maps, although would have been difficult in the dark. San Leone has some interesting seafront restaurants (quiet in April, but probably busy in Summer), better than Agrigento, but not the best in Sicily. Street cleaning and tidiness let the place down. But Villa Amico is a little oasis.

We really enjoyed our stay at Villa Amico. The owner was very welcoming, and helpful; we were able to drive to his home without getting lost, using the maps he emailed us. He suggested good near-by restaurants, and even offered to take us into the city center. The morning breakfast was plentiful, with tasty fresh bread. We even had a chance to chat with the owner during breakfast. I would definitely recommend this B&B to others visiting the city of Agrigrento.

My husband and I honeymooned in Sicily in November 2005. Our host, Pier Domenico, was incredibly gracious and wonderfully helpful. The accomodations were cozy and warm, in spite of the coolish Sicilian weather. Our host was always available and easily reached by cell phone. Because we traveled by train, we particularly appreciated his willingness to pick us up at the train station and give us pointers on using the local bus. Our trip to the Sicilian shore was very romantic and we're hoping to return for our 5th anniversary (but perhaps when it is a little warmer).

Our stay was pleasant. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was abundant, but don't expect anything fancy. If you don't have a car, the location of the hotel was not that convenient as the public transportation was not frequent enough. But over San Leone, you definitely have more activities during the night than in Agrigento center city.

This is a very nice and well-run B & B. The owner is very friendly. His English is very good and he is very helpful in every way. The location is very close to the beach and the Valley of the Temples. We thoroughly enjoyed staying in a neighborhood with local people. It is safe to walk anywhere and the people were very friendly. We walked to a restaurant the owner recommended and had a wonderful dinner. There is free parking behind a locked gate. We found that we couldn't get hot water in the evening but in the morning there was no problem with the hot water. The owner told us we should have had hot water in the evening and he would check it out. I am sure he did because he is very conscientious and accommodating. The reason I chose to stay at Villa Amico is the rave reviews it got on internet review sites. What a terrible disapointment, got bitten by bed bugs, breakfast was seriously below par and no tea or coffee was available in either the 'commen room' or the actual rooms. Our stay at this bed and breakfast tainted our impression of Sicily, quite regretably.

I've been in september and I've stayed at Villa Amico for 1 night. Far from the confusion of Agrigento, Villa Amico is located near the beach and near Valle dei Templi, in a nice and calm location. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom was also clean . I had the parking and 1 bicycle to go to the sea or to the promenade But, most of all, the sympathy of the owner was outstanding. Besides getting us when we arrived to San Leone (even though he was getting dinner with some friends), we had a pleasant conversation with him while we were taking our breakfast. I really recommend Villa Amico, an excellent option considering the price (low) and the quality (high).

We travelled on Sicily by car and some times it was hard to find the accommodations. But in Agrigento we had an very sincere welcome because the owner of that house shows us from an central point of the city by his own car the way. The house is very near (by car) to the beach and also to "Valle dei Templi". The rooms were clean and there was really no noise level. Bathroom was clean and amply. By the way it was really good to see how enthusiastic the owner is doing his work, I hope he keep that for a long time. With my experience I really can advise that accommodation.

Welcoming very good. Rooms OK. Possibility to park inside a garden. The shower could be larger (space available in the bathroom and the pillows not so hard for the neck (but it seems usual in many places we have been in Sicily. Nice place and nice people.

The Villa Amico is a bargain. Quiet and convenient to the beach, the valley, and restaurants.Best of all is the host Peter Dominico who will charm you with Sicilian hospitality and information. We enjoyed our three nites very much.

The owner is friendly and concerned with your joyous stay. He is helpful with recommending resturaunts in the area and things to see and do in the area. For the services offered (Room and breakfast) the price of the room is good deal for the area.

They were very friendly and welcoming. The room was comfortable with a really nice large veranda. It is located in a quiet neighborhood with quick and easy access to the temples. The breakfast was nice but light on choices. I would definitely stay there again. For the price, it was a great choice.

The map and description of the location was very limited. The place was difficult to find and the Hotel Costazzurra, which was mentioned on the website, had no idea where Villa Amico was. The B&B was welcoming and clean, however, the room was extremely small.

The room was particularly nice, in a residential setting, very quiet, clean, and welcoming. Breakfast was modest; public areas were limited. An excellent choice overall.

Bathrooms a little stingy with towels & soap. But the owner/host was very friendly and charming & went out of his way to help everyone enjoy the stay.

This B&B is in a private villa up in the hills with a magnificent view of the Bay of Naples. The owners/operators are very hospitable and Maria gets out early each morning to buy the freshest items for breakfast. It is a safe place to leave your car and do the sightseeing by public transport. I would come back there if I visit the area again in the future.
