Bed and Breakfast Fiore di Girgenti - Agrigento

A well located B & B, very creative breakfast delivered in a basket. When we left early, the basket was delivered the night before departure which was very thoughtful. Close to bus and train stastion, and good restaurants. Staff is very competent and welcoming. I traveled with another female friend.

Hotel is located close to the central station and not far from nice restaurants. Room is quite big and all kitchen staff is presented, so you'll not have any problems with it. Wonderful breakfast and very friendly hotel staff is one of the most impressions we still keep in mind)

Coming by car, the location is firstly difficult to find with suspicious parking (we used a nearby gas-station) in a dodgey neighborhood. Once the office was found, tho, we were warmly greeted and shown to our room. Again it looked dodgey on the outside, but the door was secure and it was surprisingly quiet at night. Very little room to move around, but with free and excellent wi-fi and a very good breakfast delivered to the door for such a bargain price it would have been ridiculous to expect more. Tho we would opt to stay somewhere else on future visits to Agrigento, Fiore di Girgenti is perfectly suitable for the younger set.

Fior di girgenti is a nice b&b, clean, the room had a little kitchen and private bathroom (also avaliable rooms with common bathroom)but there's a parking just for 2 cars, and if you have a medium car, you can't enter in the little street (we had a fiat 500 and it was difficult for us!)and there's no parking near there.

Before we left home we got an e-mail asking our eta and asking for mobile phone number. We failed to catch our train due to a strike. Iole rang me from the station and came to meet us at the bus station. An early breakfast was provided and Marco gave us a lift at 8am when we were leaving. All this was much appreciated. The breakfast arrangements were surprising - a basket brought to our room and make your own coffee. The down side was the access to our room. It was isolated and dark and involved negotiating some tricky steps (we are in our late 70s)and the doorstep was on a slope. It was clearly newly built - the plaster was barely dry - and surrounded by a building site. We didn't see any other rooms so I cannot speak in general but warm as the welcome was I cannot honestly recommend our particular room. It must be said that the price was very reasonable. The Valley of the Temples is of course magnificent but Agrigento town we found unappealing and had difficulty finding a decent restaurant or indeed s congenial bar.

The owner is super nice and extremely helpful. E-mailed us after receiving our booking and check that any special request that we may have are taken care of. Provides free pick-up service from the train or bus station. The owner picked me up, gave me a map and provided all the info that I need regarding Agrigento. Nice breakfast.

1. Great location: close to the train station and the main street, also there's a gas station; a supermarket is on the way to the temples 2. No parking space: but don't worry, just park on the pedestrian walk like local people do 3. The small kitchen was nice

The owners are very nice and helpful. Room was clean and perfectly adequate.

We spent 4 nights here and are extremely satidsfied. Very friendly owners. Very attractive pricing, location just 5 minutes by car from the most important archeolgical sites.
