Bed and Breakfast Camere a Sud - Agrigento

I stayed at this delightful B&B for two nights with my mother. We were easily able to get to the B&B from the bus station, and also get to the Valley of the Temples by bus. It was great to have access to a public computer! The B&B is very tasteful, and the breakfast was delicious (typical italian pastries/fruit/hot drinks). The couple who run the place both speak English. The only downside would be a steep and narrow one story flight of stairs to reach it. If you have mobility problems, Agrigento is a not a good choice as everything is built into a steep hill.

We stayed here for only one night, but I can sincerely recommend Camere a Sud. The owner was helpful and the accommodations pleasant, especially the the terrace. Agrigento is a strange, somewhat sad city with many neglected and abandoned buildings in the center of town. The people of Agrigento were extremely nice and we found one of the best gelateria in Sicily along the boulevard outside of the old town where there's the view of the valley of the temples.

Elvira and her family were EXTREMLY kind and helpfull; she spoke englich very well (not easy to find in Sicilie!), the best breakfast we had (on a very nice terrace); before coming, we got a very good description (the only one that was helpfull!!)how to find the B&B; always there to help or to make a small talk; we always would come back

Located in the center of the city of Agrigento, this B&B is difficult to reach by car, though the owner has an agreement with the local police to let her guests enter the pedestrian area for a while. It is really near the main street, without any noise problems. Furniture and decoration ares correct, and customers are free to use owner's Mac. The terrace (where breakfast is served) is small by nice. The bathroom and the shower are really too small.

I didn't like it at all! It's a very dark and small place! The owner has a little child and she asked us to be quiet because the buy was asleep. I had a problem and she offerd to help me, when I returned for the help she didn't do anything! Later when I need the telephone (you need to ask her to use the phone) she told me that I was angry with her and that it wasn't a good time for her because she was alone with her son! I didn't feel confortable there! I don't understand why this place has good coments!

Camere a sud is very well situated, just in the center of Agrigento. The indications given by the owners prior arrival were appreciated to find the place. Parking a vehicule in the surrounding is a big problem. To arrive at the B&B ( 1st floor after a slightly climbing small path ) could be a problem for older handicaped people. Once in the B&B everything is perfect. Because of the central location in the city you of course need to close the window for sleeping.

We were impressed of the nice house of this young Italian couple. Such a spacious, tastefull furnished appartment behind the narrow frontdoor.

Charming thoughtful hostess pays attention to small details. Appreciated use of internet access. Thoroughly recommended.

Run by very friendly and helpful young couple. Located in quiet square behind main shopping/strolling street. Three beautifully designed/decorated rooms; attractive roof terrace for breakfast/relaxing; use of lounge and free highspeed internet access. Website photos do not really do justice. Much the most attractive of the three B & Bs we stayed at in Agrigento and Trápani.

Positive: quiet; location; communication/languages; negative: accomodation hard to find (especially by car); arrival time fixed; very narrow shower; heigth of bathroom too low; no table in the room; no acceptance of credit cards; wrong description in web page: no tv in the room ; no wireless lan in the room; terrace not available to relax; photo of lounge shows private room (not common room)

Nice little B&B in a the centre of Agrigento. The owner was very pleasant and we had a nice breakfast in her beautifully decorated kitchen. Sicily in general is a nightmare for parking if you rent a car. Always make sure you ask about the parking situation when you make bookings. In this case you can park on the street just outside the B&B from 8.30 pm to 9.30 am. Probably not so easy at peak periods. Just a short drive away from the beautiful Valley of the Temples.
