Casa Lilla bed and breakfast is a beautiful 19th century 3 story town villa built onto the old town walls of Acquasparta, a small Umbrian town which is very close to the well known towns of Todi, Spoleto, Orvieto, Assisi, Perugia, Terni, etc. Acquasparta is positioned perfectly for exploring our beautiful region of Umbria. Our aim when renovating Casa Lilla was to create comfortable, relaxing and enjoyable holiday accommodation for the discerning tourist and traveler.
At Casa Lila bed and breakfast we have three large double bedrooms. Every bedroom has digital satellite TV, DVD player, alarm clock radio, hairdryer, individually controlled central heating and all our rooms have new en-suite bathrooms fully tiled and each with double size power showers.
One of our main objectives while renovating Casa Lilla was to respect the architectural period of the house and we have kept and restored all the original fittings (where possible) and brought this wonderful old house back to life.

Our guests have full use of our breakfast / dining room which is centrally heated and has a wood burning stove which we light in the winter months. For our guests we provide a large library of books, DVD movies, cards and board games, we also have WIFI ADSL internet access throughout the house.
The private patio / terrace with garden furniture is accessed from the dining room. Owned and run by a young Irish couple with Italian hearts, we will be delighted to welcome you and make your stay at Casa Lilla in bella Umbria a very special experience.

Rooms at Casa Lillà

double room Camera la Luna (the Moon room) is a large, bright and comfortable room with original wooden beamed ceiling, located on the ground floor of Casa Lilla. La Luna is 28.2 sq. meters (304 sq. feet) in total and our largest bedroom.
Camera il Sole (the Sun room) is a beautiful light and airy room situated on the first floor of Casa Lilla. Il Sole is 27 sq. meters (290 sq. feet) in total. Il Sole has a beautiful wrought iron king size bed and hand painted bedside lockers.
Camera Le Stelle (the Stars bedroom) is the smallest of our bedrooms but still larger than most 3 or 4 star hotel rooms, Le Stelle is 20.3 sq. meters (219 sq. feet) in total.

Le Stelle is also located on the ground floor of Casa Lilla with original wooden beamed ceiling and its bathroom is built in the old tunnel that runs through Casa Lilla. If the stories are true this was originally part of an escape tunnel from the Palazzo Cesi which is situated a few hundred meters away!
La Luna and Le Stelle have king size double beds but can also be arranged as a twin bed room with single beds if requested. All rooms have satellite TV / DVD. There is a selection of DVD movies, In each room there is an alarm clock radio & hairdryer and an ironing board and iron if needed. Every room has thermostatically controlled central heating, (controls in the room) and we supply floor fans during the summer months, but the rooms stay lovely and cool even during the hottest days. In each room there are new en-suite bathrooms, fully tiled with double size power shower to wake you up in the mornings. We source local produce for our breakfasts and cater for all tastes with quality foods and beverages. Our pastries and breads come fresh each morning from our local bakery and we only serve REAL coffee, of course you can have tea if you prefer. As well as fresh pastries and breads we serve breakfast cereals, fruit juices, fruit, jams and yoghurts, we also offer hot options for an extra charge.

Our pastries and breads come fresh from our local bakery each morning and we only serve REAL coffee, of course you can have tea if you prefer. As well as pastries we serve breakfast cereals, fruit juices, fresh seasonal fruit, fresh Italian breads and rolls, jams and yoghurts, we also offer hot options for an extra charge.

How to reach B&B Casa Lillà

By car
It is very easy to get from the airports to the major autostrada, you will be looking for the A1 Firenze (Florence) autosrada which is at the top of the map and is Exit 8,9,10 to get onto it from the GRA, (Rome ring road)
Fiumicino airport also called Leonardo Da Vinci international. The exit for this is 30,31 from the GRA.
Ciampino airport, this is exit 23 off the GRA.

Once you are on the A1 heading North to Firenze it’s about 40,45 mins drive, the exit you take off the A1 is at Orte, there is a toll booth here and you will pay Euro 3.20 toll, the ticket you will get when you go through the entrance toll onto the A1 not long after leaving the GRA.
After the toll head for Terni, this is about 20mins drive, close to Terni you will see an exit for Perugia and Cesena, you take this road, once you are heading for Perugia, this road is called the E45 (also SS3 BIS), Acquasparta is only 10mins away, it is well sign posted off this road so you won’t have any problems.

There is very safe and ample on street parking available directly outside Casa Lilla. A car is not necessary but we would recommend one if you want to travel around as a lot of the small towns are only accessed by cars. The train station is Acquasparta is a 5 minute walk from Casa Lilla and is the small local line which runs from Terni to Perugia, and from Perugia to Sansepulcro, Terni is a major station and from there you can get a train to anywhere in Italy, the train from Terni to Rome central only takes 50 minutes and is very good value, you can buy a one way ticket for as little as 6 euros.
