Lack of air-conditioning. Opening of doors and windows may not be convenient or safe as there is a common balcony outside where outsiders walk about. Hotel staff should wear more smiles. 'Drainage Hole' of toilet bowl should be behind instead of in front. Expensive breakfast buffet. Direction to the hotel should be more direct and clear, i.e. it should just say that the nearest train line is U1 - Sudtirolerplatz.

This was the perfect Hotel for our stay in Vienna. It was located right by the U1 line so easy access to all the attractions. They had a large breakfast buffet but it was 9 euro per person, so we never tried it. We went to a great bakery called Anker bakery that is just down the road to the left of the hotel. The hotel was kept up very nice. The rooms were clean and the staff was incredible. They did everything they could to make our stay pleasant! I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Vienna and who is on a budget.

Nice hotel, not far from the metro. The hotel breakfast tends to be on the more expensive side, but that's not a problem, because you can get a cheaper and possibly better breakfast at the local Anker bakery and coffee shops. The room was ok, the only problem was that they initially thought we were supposed to leave a day earlier, but after we talked to the manager, things worked out.

Good quality hotel and very clean. Staff were always friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet was quite extensive, but should be for the price. Located in a quiet area of the city and only 10 minutes walk into the centre of the city, also 2 minute walk to metro station. Only issue was that advertised room safe was not provided.

The hotel is very clean and modern looking, it's located only 5 minutes away (walking) from a metro station, which takes you to the city center in less than 10 min. The staff helped us promplty with restaurant and taxi reservations. They have free wi-fi throughout the property, it works really good.

Big, modern hotel, with clean and spacious room. Two supermarkets across the street. Anker shop 100m down the street is a good alternative to the hotel's 15 euros breakfast. Subway station just a block away. Vienna's Sudbanhof (train station) is currently closed. Trains arrive at the Westbanhof, accessible by subway or by a 15 euros taxi ride. Good quality/price ratio. I would stay again in this hotel if I'm back in Vienna.

Nice, almost new, hotel located in a residential zone of Viena, at a walking distance of underground (U-bahn) and train (S-bahn)stations. It also has restaurants, supermarkets and a bakery in the same block. A spacious room with simple but modern furniture gives you a nice sorrounding to rest. Free Wifi is available, which is nice. The only point to improve is the the daily cleaning of the bathroom which was poor. Breakfast buffet is not included in the rate, but you can sign up for it upon arrival. However, is rather expensive (EUR 15 p/p)as you have supermarkets and a bakery (Aker)in the same block where you can get breakfast for just EUR 4 p/p.

Good location (close to the underground). Clean, quiet and comfortable rooms. Good room service (except for the last day when the changed towels set was incoplete and carelessly left in the bathroom). The rooms are provided with air conditioners which is a good point for the comfort of the rooms especially during the warm summer days. However, there were some problems with the equipment(noisy and finally started to drain). Good breakfast service (although a bar-coffee in the neighbourhood has been strongly competing as it offered comparable breakfast at lower price). Quite good reception - all receptionists but one lady were quite professional. However, some more expressed courtesy should be considered. Excellent ground transfer service was provided on request.

Even if a little far away from the center and in a quite ugly suburb, it is a very good hotel. People are nice and speak french, rooms are large and really clean. 5 min to underground direct to center, and two train stations (for Bratislava or budapest or Praha) 10 min walk around.

Good location for the price, we had a quad. Subway is only down the block with two stops to city center. Very basic hotel, floor is kind of dirty looking, loud noises around 4 am when garbage company was loading recycles. Shops in the area is so so, but good location. Front desk was not helpful at all. We were traveling to Rome on the night train and the South station near by, where the train usually departs, were closed for renovation. The new station is Wien Meidling; I ask the front desk clerk how to get there. She said, just look at the map and pointed to the hotel's right, "It's just down there". She was not doing much, but wanted to look busy. Did not wanted to help or give more information. We had to figure out the direction ourselves. Just for that, I do not recommend this place.

My only point of contention with this hotel was the service quality of the breakfast staff. They were rude. Aside from that, this hotel is very well located, a 20 minute walk into town or a 2 minute walk to Sudtirolerplatz and the light rail line number 1. It is located a short walk from Schloss Belvedere. It is clean, neat, and the public areas are of a very good standard. The price against the quality is very very good. It was a comfortable stay for us, with a good breakfast buffet and generally good service.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel. We were very wellcomed, the recepcionists were always very avayable. The Hotel is very near the city center, you have an underground station just 50 meters from it. Only three stops and you are at the Opera or City center (Cathetral). You can start your visit by Belvedere, which is in a walking distance, and there you can also take tramways to everywhere. From/to airport, just take the special bus to Sudbahnhof Station, and you'll be 300 meters from the hotel. We did not take breakfast at the hotel, cause it was a litle expensive for us, but you have a nice typical café right at the corner or I can suggest that you should take your breakfasts at the nice Old traditional Wien cafés in the city. Really, for the price we had the room, location, confort etc...I really suggest it to all of you! Note: I had read a very bad commentary just before going there, written by a brazilian guy, which was not objectif at all, much on the contrary, I found it very stupid. I am also from Brazil, living in Paris since long and I think those kind of commentaries, when they are not objectif, should not even be published. Anyway, Tks to Austria Trend and to Venere.fr Francisco MARTINS

We had a bad experience at this hotel. I was travelling around europe with my mother in april 2009. FirST when we arrived, the Austria Trend Hotel said they had some sort of water problem, and we were moved to another hotel from the same chain (actually, it was a 4 star hotel, with much more advantages) for the same amount of money. Obvioulsy, this problem with water was a big lie, cause the hotel was completely full, so it was very unlike to be true. When we got to the other hotel (Hotel Favorita), we were very bad treated by the reception guys, but still, we didnt mind because we were at a very nice 4 stars hotel for the price of a 3 starS on promotion. The biggest problem was that they tried to cancel our booking on the second day, and we had booked for 3 days. They said the hotel was completely booked and there were no more rooms available and we should search for another hotel. Funny thing was that the hotel was completely empty and this was a big lie. At the end we managed to solve the problem, but we felt we were treated like that because we are brazilian and everybody knows the nazi party in austria is very big and influent. I ABSOLUTELY ADVISE YOU NOT TO GO ON THIS NAZI HOTEL, I'M VERY PROUD OF BEEING FROM SOUTH AMERICA AND I WAS VERY WELL TREATED ALL AROUND EUROPE, EXCEPT FOR THIS RIDICULOUS HOTEL.

The hotel is in the city district of Vienna, you need just 10 minutes walk to the Mariahilfer Strasse, but if you don't want to go by feet, you can use the subway too - the station is near the hotel -, and the Stephansdom is on the 2. stop, so the postition of the hotel is very good. You can park your car in their garage. The rooms are clean, and very simply, IKEA-style furnished, the beds are very comfortable. You can have just breakfast in the hotel, that's lavish. The hotel hasn't any other services to mention, but, if you go there just to look at the city, shopping, or to take part in the Christmas Market, it's great for this price. I can calmly suggest it.

We got confirmation of our booking of a triple and double room prior to our trip, but when we arrived the hotel didn't have our reservation! Maria at the desk was able to give us rooms anyway, and we didn't have any problems from then on out. Staff was not that friendly, other than Maria who was fantastic, she not only helped us the first day, she recommended restuarants the whole time we stayed (3 days)and we even ran into her her in the central shopping area and she gave us another restuarant recommendation! All recommended were excellent! We'd stay again but it seems the hotel was more for business than families touring Vienna, which we were. Good hotel though!

VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH ACCOMMODATION,SERVICE AND CLEANLINESS. STAYED THERE FOR 3 DAYS, THERE WAS POTATOE CHIPS ON THE FLOOR NEAR FRIDGE WHEN WE ARRIVED AND STILL THERE AFTER LEAVING. THEY STILL ADVERTISE AIRCONDITIONING AND THERE IS NO AIRCONDITIONING. TRIED TO TELL MANAGER THAT THE WEBSITE SHOWS AIRCONDITIONING AND FALSE ADVERTISING. HE WAS NOT INTERESTED. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL. I AM SURE THAT THERE ARE BETTER HOTELS CLOSER TO VIENNA CBD FOR AROUND SAME PRICE. MANAGER SHOULD LISTEN TO COMPLAINTS OF CUSTOMER.

I booked two rooms - a four-bed room and a double room. The double room was on the front side of the hotel on the 6th floor and there happened to be some construction activities on the opposite side of the street. Needless to say, it was noisy starting from 6a.m. The four-bed room was on the 6th floor of the back side of the hotel and it was quiet. The main complaint I have is with the breakfast. The elderly lady responsible for the breakfast was not very service-oriented. One example out of a few: a large family group wanting to put 2 adjacent tables together was specifically told not to do so. Other than that, the hotel was clean and quite good for the price.

It appears to be a lot to pay considering the officious and unsympathetic way customers are treated. The people in this hotel appear to be only interested in doing their job and no more. Breakfast in the morning was tedious because of the lady who runs that part of the catering. I do not like being herded to my table. I would not stay there again unless I was desparate. I stayed in a number of hotels during my trip and this one was by far the worst (service-wise)
