Overall a nice stay. However, this hotel needs some restructuring in the hall and in general in the appearance... not because it is malfunctioning, but because it's just old-fashioned. I think it used to be a fashionable hotel some 20 years ago :) The staff was kind, some are extremely competent and some are not... but on average, good. The sauna is very good, the swimming pool and gym smaller than I expected. Very good breakfast.

We wanted central location and the hotel was close to all attractions and situated about 100 metres from the fantastic thundering waterfall. The staff were welcoming, helpful and accommodating at all times. The Elisabethpark is upmarket and would shame many so called 'posh' well known hotels with its grandeur. Our room was huge with a lovely quiet balcony giving views of the gardens/mountains to the rear of the hotel. Continental breakfast was amazing with a wide ranging selection of food which we tried hard to work our way around in 4 days but failed miserably. If you sampled every breakfast item you would still be in the restaurant until the next morning!!!! We visited out of season and the hotel was quiet but no standards from the welcome we received to the breakfast and cleanliness were allowed to slip. Plenty of nearby restaurants catering for all needs. Car park adjacent to the hotel is half price for residents ie; 12 Euros for 24 hrs. Overall we would highly recommend this hotel and will revisit without hesitation.
