for the parents bed, the bottom sheet and the top sheet were each made of two small separated sheets. Two good size sheets would have been better. In the kitchen, two pans would be useful. A coverlet, on a child bed, was stained. Otherwise, everything was OK.

We stayed in two properties because the previous guest at the apartment had an accident necessitating a delay in his vacating of the premises. Although inconvenient and time consuming, this turn of events allowed us to see a very spacious apartment near Santa Maria della Salute for one night, which would be great for two couples or a family with children. It was immaculately clean and very spacious. There was a bit of anxiety as our agent was detained and we were waiting on the steps of the church for awhile but when she arrived she was very nice and took us to the apartment to get settled. The next day, she came back to escort us to the apartment that we had originally booked and we had a great discussion about her life in Venice. We loved the second apartment which was very near the Zattere in Dorsoduro, an area we had not explored before. The apartment was great with a terrace surrounded by a park with many trees and birds. It could have been a bit cleaner but I think the circumstances probably did not allow for a long enough time to get it thoroughly ready. Also the shower hose was broken and the phone did not work but we would definitely go back there as the apartment was very charming and especially well located. As this was the first time we have rented an apartment rather than hotel in Venice, I think I would have felt more comfortable having more communication with venere before our arrival in Venice. Nonetheless, it was an adventure and a very memorable experience.We have already given the venere website address to several friends for their future travel arrangements and were very satisfied with our accomodations.

Ein wundervolles Apartement - sehr großzügig, hell, seeehr ruhig. Umgeben von Gärten, sonnig, mit 3 Balkons ausgestattet. Trotz der ruhigen Lage gut gelegen, Zattere und Academia in 3 Laufminuten Entfernung. Gepflegtes Haus. Das schönste aber ist der Stil und die Atmosphäre der Räume. Echte 50er-Jahre Designermöbel, überall kunstgeschichtliche Bücher, Drucke und Lithographien an den Wänden, schönste Vasen und kleine Kunstwerke - alles in allem ein optischer Genuss. Wir haben es genossen. Und drei kleine Tips: direkt gegenüber dem Haus, auf der anderen Kanalseite, gibt es eine urige Weinkneipe "Al Bottegon", in der man auch köstliche Kleinigkeiten essen kann. An der Flaniermeile Zattere gibt in der "Gelateria da Nico" das beste Eis, und frühstücken kann man - nur ein paar Schritte in die andere Richtung direkt am Wasser mit Blick auf die Giudecca - bei Toni im "Chioschetto" (also im kleinen grünen Kiosk).

The fourth time we stayed at an appartment in Venice. We tried different areas and a new appartment each time. This one was definitely the best up till now. We are thinking of coming back to this place next time and can only recommend it.

This time capsule of 1970s Italian chic is obviously owned by an art lover, as the rooms are packed with books about art from every period. The wonderful thing is that you can then pop round to the Accademia and look at the originals! The main living/dining room is light and airy, and the balcony is a real bonus. You sit at eye level with the trees in the neighboring garden, sometimes listening to the church bells. The kitchen and bathroom are both new, and there's an extra WC and wash basin, which is useful for families or couples sharing. Everything you need for self catering is there (note for the English: two teapots!) but there are plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby. We can't wait to go back. (Small point: if the company arrange to meet you at the no. 82 Vaporetto stop at Zattere, there are two of them... !)

Lovely spacious appartment, warm atmosphere and quiet surroundings, close to Accademia. I would reccommend it toi anyone.

We really enjoyed our stay. The apartment is full of books and artwork - a really feel of Venice. Has all family facilities : iron, ironing board, washer, dishwasher, freezer...we wanted for nothing. The Company was kind enough to meet us and guide us to where the apartment was (a great help!) The region of Venice is ideal - the university makes food good value, a supermarket close by, quite a laid back and family friendly atmosphere, ideal for nice walks to St Mark's and the sights without being on the tourist trek. Would definately go again. Enjoy!
