What a brilliant place to stay in Venice. So close to St Marks square. Secure property with very nice furnishings and everything you require. Kitchenette is great for breakfast and snacks during the day. Even arriving by water taxi was only a short walk with luggage. We loved this apartment.

Very nice place, as close to san marco as it was shown on the web. First floor without lifter, we had to carry the pushchair every time up and down. Very well kept.

We booked 2 rooms in 213 and one had a water problem that the hotel (Hotel ponte sospiri) rebooked us into the main hotel for. (The Jr. Suite we got in the Sospiri was incredible). 213 is a "value" set of rooms and is a great bargain for the cost conscious traveler. Hotel services were all in the main hotel - about 2 blocks away. Proximity to St. Marks square and shops is outstanding. We'd recommend this for value travellers. For romance, spring for the main hotel. Not exactly on the map where you think it is, but not far off.

Excellent location and value for the money. Many resturants in the area and easy access to major attractions. Family of six was quite comfortable in the apartmnent and staff was quite helpful.

This hotel was a little difficult to find, but what isn't in Venice? After struggling to try and find a place to stay that wasn't too expensive I found this retreat, and it was a slice of heaven. These are rooms that are in a building away from the hotel and in a bulding used for some other purpose, although in my several days of staying here, I never saw anyone else come or go. It's about 90 seconds walk to St. Mark's. The room was stunningly new, and was like having our own apartment except without a kitchen. The greeting when we arrived was pleasant and we were even offered a complementary cockail. I would stay here again any time! This place wouldn't be good for someone who had a problem with stairs because you have to walk up a flight, but otherwise this is a great place for anyone not bothered by that.

P.S. Se potete mangiate prodotti comprati al supermarket. A Venezia la cucina è veramente discutibile.

Excellent value for money in the heart of Venice. Located just 1 minute from St. Mark's Square this clean comfortable room was a little gem. Particularly welcome was the jacuzzi after a full day walking. I would have no hestitation in recommending this room to others.

Increíble! Un sitio de lujo en Venecia. Nos dieron una suite y el único problema es que estaba en un edificio al lado del Hotel (no había recepción). La fachada engañaba pero por dentro era una pasada. Lo recomiendo! Incredible! A luxury place in Venice. They offered us a suite and the only problem was that it was placed in another building (no reception was available there). The front of the building was disgusting but inside it was fine. I really recommend it!

I am so glad I booked with Venere. I decided to be a little extravagent and book a suite, something special in Venice. It surpassed all our dreams. Immediately we arrived the receptionist told us we had been upgraded from the 3 star annex to the main 4 star sister hotel. We stayed in the best suite in the hotel from what we could see by the brochure. The suite was full of plush Italian elegance and with a large bath containing a jacuzzi in the spacious bathroom. Breakfast was served to us in our room by a maid. What a wonderful treat after having to fumble around in the previous two cities' hotel breakfast rooms!!! (We never did find were 213 San Marco was!) There is nothing we could fault about this charming hotel. It was situated right next to the Doge Palace and the Bridge of Sighs. We certainly "sighed" with disbelief that we could be so lucky!!! The staff were super efficient and friendly. Hotel Il Sospiri certainly made our stay an experience that we will never forget. We felt like the 3Vs, Venere's VIP's of Venice!

This was a beautiful room (living room, and seperate bedroom). The people were very nice and spoke good English. We lost our luggage and they kept checking to see if it ahd arrived at the airport for us. Great place!

This room was absolutely beautiful and right in the heart of Venice - and So cheap!! The staff was so nice and helpful and breakfast was great as well. I would recommend this place to any traveller, especially a couple, as the privacy of having our own apartment was such a nice commodity. happy travels!

You couldn't ask to be any closer to St Mark's Square and the Bridge of Sighs. We booked a 3-night stay during April in 213 San Marco but on arrival the hotel manager told us that because it was out of season we had been upgraded to a suite in the 4* Hotel Al Ponte dei Sospiri for the same price. What an amazing place!! I can't speak for 213 San Marco as we never actually got there but I know the staff service both places and they were extremely efficient and professional, nothing was too much bother so I'm sure a stay at 213 San Marco would be just as enjoyable and great value for money.

This is perfect if you are looking for a nice, clean, affordable room in a central location (50 metres from St Mark's Square). Very good value for money. Large & very comfortable bed and a lovely bathroom with spa bath and the most stylish tap I've ever seen (comfortable bed and spa bath very welcome after a day walking around Venice!). I liked the fact its apart from the hotel and you have privacy, however if a nice hotel itself is an important part of your stay, then this might not be for you - the hotel services are not directly to hand (its a few hundred metres from the hotel)and the room is quite small (but perfectly adequate) and dark with no real view from the bedroom. If you're just using it as a base, none of this matters and its perfect. We didn't see the staff very much, but they were polite when did go for breakfast or to check in/out, and they stored our luggage on the last day. The booking process worked perfectly and our emails to the hotel were always answered promptly. My only complaint was that the room smelt slightly of stale cigarette smoke.

Fantastic stay. Couldn't be happier with every aspect. Celebrated a 40th Birthday and had the most romantic 4 days imaginable. The suite we stayed in was perfect and the location very central - 100 yards from St Marks Square - will definitely go again

213 San Marco is the optimal place to stay in Venice. Next to Piazza San Marco and very good value for money. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend it or go back ourselves if we had the chance.

Fantasic location, and a great price for a family (2 adults, 2 kids) in Venice. The proximity of St Mark's square puts everything in easy reach, but I would advise going out of the immediate area to eat (too tourist focused !). The only dowmside was some noise from the alleyway, but this is a smal price to pay for the convenience, price, and room quality.

The room is excellent. It is clean, quiet and private. It's like a 4 star hotel room with 3 star hotel price. Highly recommend to eveyone, especially couple who want privacy or family with 2 kids (the one we had is a one bedroom apartment with a twin sofa bed in the living room). The apartment is only 3 minutes walk to the San Marco Square. It is our 5th anniversary and we enjoy our stay in Venice so much. The only drawback for us is you have to carry the luggage up three floors and we had a big suitcase.

This accommodation appears to be run by the same people who run Hotel Al Ponte dei Sospiri, you have to check in at the hotel and then the porter will bring you down to 213 San Marco. It is really close to St. Mark's square (less than 2 minutes walking) but that area is full of little streets so it is a little difficult to find. The easiest way is to go to St. Mark's square. With the Cathedral to your right, the sea behind you and looking straight ahead you see a clock tower (Orologio Tower - being renovated at the moment and also has a bell on top). Go under the archway just on the left of the tower, straight on, take the first right (which is at the banc de Roma) and continue along to the end of the street (its a short street - you'll pass McDonald's on the way). At the end of the street on the right is Hotel Al Ponte dei Sospiri. You need to check in here. To go to 213 San Marco you'll go back along this street to the Banc de Roma take a right and take the first left (there is a sign for foto blitz - and its on the pavement as well). This is a short street and a few houses in on the right you'll see the number 213. Inside its up 2 or 3 flights of stairs (no lift) and there is a sign on the inside door saying 213 San Marco. We had one of the suites. It was fantastic. the rooms were exactly like the photos on the website. It was great to have the second room, sofa, TV etc. We did have a problem with the air conditioning - we turned it on and adjusted it to where we thought it should be but it was still really warm that night no matter how we adjusted it - so warm that we had to open the windows. We said it to the hotel receptionist the next day and he didn't appear to be ver helpful saying that we probably weren't using it correctly. When we went back later that day the staff had changed the settings and the temperatue was OK then. I would definitely recommend this place.

Having travelled around Europe all summer, we would rate this as our best accommodation experience. The quality of the accommodation for the price offered on Venere.com was outstanding. The rack rate for this room was around 3x what we paid via venere. The room was part of a 4* hotel, although in a different building. We were not expecting to receive the 4* treatment and welcoming from the hotel staff. The location was excellent and we would not hesitate in recommending this to anyone.

Having booked our accommodation in Venice on the internet, we were a bit apprehensive, especially since we had our 2 yr old daughter with us - what if it was cramped, dirty etc. We need not have worried. 213 San Marco exceeded our expectations. It was spacious, immaculately clean and perfectly presented with ample space for a 2 year old to play in before bedtime. Its situation right next to Piazza San Marco was excellent and it was no trouble to go to the nearby host hotel for breakfast each morning. The only thing that was missing was tea/coffee making facilities in the room, although the hotel provided us wth a kettle on request. We were so pleased with the accommodation that we extended our stay by 2 nights and would definitely stay here again.

Accommodation was a very high standard for the location and value. Mini bar refrigerator didn't work and we had difficulty working the air conditioning which are the only negatives of the accommodation. Overall, I would easily recommend this accommodation which I have to several people and the Venere website.

We went to Venice with our freinds(family with child)and stayed in different hotels, almost the same price(213 San Maraco is 10 euro higher). When they came to see our room, they were all amazed by how wonderful we could get in such a nice location and felt jealous. 213 is located right behind the bell tower,so we can reach San Marco Square within 1 minute.Originally we thought the town house might offer only the last clearning of the room, but they came everyday to sort and clean the bathroom.Breakfast is served in their main hotel,a 4 stars hotel near Al Ponte dei Sospiri bridge(hotel name the same as the bridge). All the interior and atmosphere will make you feel you are truely in Venice!

We had a confirmation for two suites. When we arrived one suite had been given away to somebody else. We were instead offered one double room for an o.k. price which turned out satisfactory, but nevertheless...
