Ambrogio (the owner)was very welcoming and helpful. He kindly met us off the bus and took us to the property. The chalet was spotless and in a very rural location despite being 100 yards from the main street in Sorrento. Despite the rain we still managed to sit on the pretty terrace - it would be great as a summer base. The kitchen area was small but had all the facilities for making excellent breakfasts, coffee and pasta! we would definitely stay there again - a perfect base for exploring the Bay of Naples and all the famous sites and the Amalfi coast. The station and buses were a 10 minutes walk away.

Lovely place, very clean, very helpful owner nothing is too much trouble. Please note if you are two people who like to split up and do different things you will need to ask the owner for two sets of keys as we were only given one set.

Villino Chalet Paradiso is an excellent accommodation I would recommend to a single traveler or couple. It is extremely unique, as it is a small house situated in a lemon grove, although only a few minutes away from the city center. The outside terrace is very large and beautiful, a wonderful place to have breakfast or lounge. The owner Ambrogio is very detail-oriented and goes out of his way to make sure things are perfect. The small service kitchen and refrigerator are very useful. Sorrento is a great town you can use as a base to explore the Amalfi coast, visit important historic ruins and other places.

We spent a week at the chalet in early June and it was excellent as earlier reports suggest. The owner Ambrogio could not have been more more helpful, meeting us from the ferry on our arrival from Amalfi and also taking us to the train station on departure day. The chalet is just off the main street in Sorrento but you feel wonderfully secluded as it is down a 100 yd driveway and situated in the middle of a lemon grove. Its very secure though with no less than three easily managed locked gates with the keys supplied, there are private apartments along the driveway. The chalet itself is spotlessly clean , comfortable double bed , nice LCD digital TV, lots of room for 2/3 people and a nice patio area where you can sunbathe on the [2] sunloungers whilst drinking your beers from the fridge.! Cooking area is a bit limited but who eats at home in Italy? When dropping us off there Ambrogio pointed out the best local supermarket , local facilities [ laundrette , internet cafe etc] and a briilliant pizza parlour, full of Italians every night and reasonably priced food and drinks. Would return there definitely if going back to Sorrento , which is a great base to go to Pompei , Vesuvius , Naples and all the coastal towns on the Amalfi coast. Amalfi town itself is a must , its beautiful. Regular ferry there is pretty cheap. Only downside to the chalet is that the main Corsa Italia road is really busy and noisy. You can't hear a thing from the chalet but once on the road its Piccadilly circus but its only a 10 mins walk to the main square so its not a big problem. Overall would rate the accommodation as excellent value and you get a really nice personal service from Ambrogio.

Our host, Ambrogio, was the most thoughtful, attentive and obliging person of anyone we encountered throughout 3 weeks of our travels in Italy. Even with the language barrier (we know even less Italian than he did English), he was responsible for making our short stay of 4 nights perfect and wonderful, instead of what might have been merely pleasant. The chalet is extremely comfortable, charming and secure, and met every need we could have asked for with style and taste. It is absolutely peaceful, surrounded by a fairly large, shady grove and vineyard. Yet it is well located, a close and easy walk to all Sorrento has to offer. It's not likely that there might be any better accommodation in the area, regardless of price. Yet the rental fee here is unbelievably reasonable. It was perfect for our style of travel, so we could not have been happier. While Ambrogio is a soft-spoken man and didn't say, we suspect that he built the chalet himself. We noticed the excellent craftsmanship in the details. Photos do not do it justice. He should be very proud. No question that if we return, we would not hesitate to choose this again.

Great place in the middle of an orchard but only 5 mins from centre of Sorrento. Private parking and attentive ownwer. We arrived at 10 pm and left at 4 pm but the owner was extremely accomodating. The kitchen area is limited and is not meant for lots of cooking, but ok for basic stuff. Overall, thoroughly recommend it.

Hard to find but well worth the effort. A lovely peaceful place to stay in Sorrento.

Absolutely lovely, right in the middle of the town yet hidden in an orange grove. very kind owner who really went out of his way to assist us with car problems. It is very hard to find, especially after dark, its close to two petrol stations one on either side of the road but it is down the side of the Esso garage between it and a Yamaha shop with electric gates so you need to phone the owner to meet you there.

The chalet is a short walk from the heart of Sorrento, yet is private, very secure and secluded. The apartment was immaculate and everything we might have needed was provided. I was very impressed with the quality of the accommodation. Sorrento is well linked by public transport, a pretty town in itself and well located as a base for exploring the area.

This place is excellent. Central location (although a little tricky to find at first, down a long driveway), quiet, SUPER clean and new!! If you'd like a secluded cabin set in an orange orchard garden within a short walk to the centre of Sorrento book this cabin. Not much to look at from the outside, but lovely on the inside and VERY cheap + private parking!!

Chalet Paradiso was situated in the most tranquil surroundings we have ever encountered on holiday, yet only 5 minutes walk to the hustle and bustle of Sorrento's main square. The owner was very friendly and very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Whilst just around the corner the train and bus facilities for just a few Euro's enabled us to visit all the Amalfi Coastline and then travel to Naples to see the historic sites of Pompei and Ercolano, with the added benefit of going back to the Chalet to relax with a bottle of wine on the terrace surrounded by lemon and orange trees - We would not hesitate to return there soon

Not a hotel, but a small house surrounded by orange & lemon trees. A easy walk to Sorrento center and train & bus station, but very quiet. Very welcoming owner.
