The Forum Attic Apartment was a wonderful place to stay. Maurizio was incredibly nice and helpful in helping to settle us in, helping with transportation and information and even lending a cell phone. The apartment itself was perfect - just as described and pictured, and a fantastic location for seeing the ancient heart of Rome. The terraces were wonderful places to relax and enjoy an incredible view. The only reason the apartment occasionally had a noise problem was a raucous bunch of seagulls occasionally crying out late into the night. Will definitely try to return!

The Forum Attic Apartment is a wonderful place to stay. It is located within walking distance to most everything you would want to see in Rome. Proximity to the metro station allows you to easily get to those places that are a little further out. The apartment is great and much better than a hotel. The place has character and is very comfortable. The two balconies are perfect for sipping red wine in the evening and discussing the marvels you saw during the day. The washer and kitchen are a great bonus (you can wash at your leisure and save some money on breakfast/coffee etc). Maurizio made the whole experience of getting to the apartment easy and also the return to the airport. He also offered great tips about Rome and the immediate neighborhood (Groceries, restaurants etc). I can not recommend this place highly enough and will stay there again when I return to Rome.

excellent even if is not exactly the best choice if you have an infant. Too many steps to reach the apartment.

The apartment was fabulous! My boyfriend and I decided that Rome was the best part of our trip, and the apartment helped make it perfect. The TWO balconies looked out over the forum and from one you can see a bit of the Colleseum. There were about 50 steps to climb and it did get tiring but well worth it. The price was excellent!! Maurizio Paolini knows what he is doing and was such a great help. He even gave us a cell phone in case of some emergency and called us to let us know that the next morning was Europe's Daylight Savings. There is no way you could get this service, cleanliness, location, space, view, privacy, etc. at a hotel at this price. Maurizio had English DVD's for us and a stereo we could use... the room is made for 2 but we did see a rollaway bed and a very large couch in the living room. The bathroom very large. In short, we will return to Rome, we will recommend this apartment to everyone and we will definatly stay there again.

This trip was our first trip to Rome. My son and I really enjoyed our accomodations. We were very comfortable at the Forum Attic Apartment. Great attention to detail! Convenient location and a great place to come back to after a long day of much walking. We hope to return in the not so distant future!

Perfect location and incredibly comfortable for a stay in Rome. The 50+ steps were rewarded with fantastic character accommodation with views across the rooftops to the Imperial Forum and Roman Forum with the top of the Colosseum visible to the left.

Great apartment. Great location. Person who checked us in was incredibly helpful. He gave us a map and went over it with us to help us figure out where we were, etc. Loved the view. There was a little confusion about whether there was a separate bedroom or not (we were thinking about having a friend sleep on the sofa), but he clarified that it is really a 2 person apartment. He was right. We would stay there again without hesitation.

We enjoyed our stay very much. Maurizio was right on time as promised and with another gentleman who took up our bags, which was a good thing too! Even though we knew about the stairs ahead of time we thought that at 65 we were in pretty good shape..wrong...I was huffing and panting when I reached the top floor, by the end of the second week though we were both in better shape, now we're using the stair master at home. I can't praise Maurizio enough, he did everything possible to be helpful, offering to arrange tours, advising us on resturants all over the city. The kitchen is very tiny but has the basics so we cooked simple meals on the two nights we were just to tired to go out. There are many small stores nearby to stock up, Also lots of small resturants in the immediate area, just venture out on foot in any direction and you will find one in less than two blocks. The weekly cleaning at the Attic wasn't the greatest but it was unimportant compared to the plus's, one of which was having wine or cocktails in the early evening on your very own balcony (there's two) overlooking the rooftops and the Roman Forum. At the end of our stay Maurizio was back again bless his heart, to take our luggage down the stairs to the taxi he arranged for us for the airport transfer. It cost about 15 to 20 E to take the cab to the termini and 18E to take the shuttle train to the airport, Maurizio's taxi took us straight to the airport for 55E, much easier and well worth the few extra euros. We will most certainly plan on staying here again, although with much less luggage! It helps to take a Streewise Rome map and have it when you arrive to show the cab driver where the tiny little via Ibernise is because it cannot be reached directly from the via Cavore.

We loved the attic apartment! It is a perfect location for sightseeing in Rome. Our only small issue was that the steepness of the 56 stairs should be mentioned! They were chanllenging for us but could easily be a show stopper for anyone not reasonably fit. We also found that there was no phone in the unit. That should really be disclosed. Maurizio was a wonderful and helpful host.

The Forum Apartment was plenty large for two people (under 6 feet 4 inches), nicely furnished, and conveniently located. The two outside balconies overlooked the Roman Forum. Our manager, Maurixio, went out of his way to be helpful during our stay.

This was an amazing apartment, yes, 3 flights of stairs, but worth the effort!!! Excellent welcome, door to door service, superb interior, local information - even a choice of easy listening as well as an English speaking tv channel. Maurizio offers excellent advice and service, You simply won't find it better in Rome. 5*++++

If you want a modern, well-maintained, reasonably priced apartment in a beautiful historic location in Rome, the Forum Apartment is an excellent choice. My wife and I stayed here for 4 days on our first ever trip to Rome. The apartment was exactly as represented in the description. It's located in an 18th century building literally a stone's throw from the Roman Forum(Temple of Augustus). It easily sleeps 2 but could take a family of perhaps 5 including children, as there's a second sleeper couch in the living room. Complete facilities include fully equiped kitchen, bath with shower and laundry, and two terraces that overlook the Forum and Palatine Hill. The apartment is on the fifth floor/attic, there are slanted low ceilings that could be an issue for the very tall or claustrophobic (I'm six feet one and was fine), but again the pictures clearly show this and I didn't consider this a problem at all. We stayed there in July, but the modern air conditioner kept the apartment comfortable despite the heat and our top floor location. If you have trouble with steps, keep in mind there are five stories to climb, as the building lacks a lift. Mr Paolini was extremely helpful and reliable, he personally greeted us, showed the apartment, and gave us a quick set of hints for sightseeing(like getting a reservation to tour the Vatican/Sistine Chapel to avoid the 5-block long entry line), and gave very helpful advice about the correct departure time on our return to the airport to deal with the long security check. He also offers some convenience services at an additional charge, such as daily apartment cleaning, car service to and from the airport, etc. I would not hesitate to stay at the Forum Apartment again, and would highly recommend it.

The welcoming was perfect organized with a transfer from the airport to the apartment. We got a map and many important informations about Rome and some shops nearby the arpartment. The apartment is located at the Fori Imperali. We reached the Forum Romanum in 3 min.; the Colosseum in 5 min.; the Pantheon in 7 min.; ect. I think it was the best Location I have had...and it was my fourth time in this beautiful city. I never forget the overview of Rome by having breakfast...I am going to book it again. Thank you Maurizio.
