Our bedroom was at the front of the house, very near the street. Cars, people with rolling suitcases, scooters made a lot a noise. But you get used to everything. But we wanted to stay in the Via de Monserrato because relatives lived there over a year in 1939! Out first stay in Rome was great!

Great location at an affordable price. Beds are not very comfortable - but that's the only complaint.

The location was more noisy than expected, especially during the night where mwe had a lot of traffic from Campo de Fiori. The shower was not functioning - to little pressure on the water and to much chalk. But the appartement was very nice and we will recommend it to others.

We spent our days in a vault! We really like palaces of the 15th or 16th century, but if we had known what kind of appartement we have chosen, we would have prefered annother one of venere`s very interesting offers: We slept in a room with windows to the street. It was terrible noisy. The sleeping-room was dark like middle-age prisons. The bed and its equipment were old and very low quality. (I can send you a "nice" picture per mail.) Long, long time ago the owners had renovated without spending much money. Our 4 towels were always wet and after 3 days they began to stink. There was no possibility to dry them. The equipment of the kitchen had no italian standard. I come to Rome since 30 years. Each time I rent a room in one of the nice hotels around the Campo di Fiori. But this time I came to Rome also to buy at the market and to cook. Unfortunatly we don`t feel lucky in these dark, wet and ugly rooms. Other, better rooms were not offered in that house. It is unpossible to recommend this appartement to anyone. The pictures in the internet do not represent the real situation.

It was indicated that we could pay our accommodations using Visa however when we arrived the only method of paying was using cash and that was a bit of a problem as we did not anticipate this. The sofa bed mattress also needed replacement.

The rooms were rather small, though acceptably clean. The owners of the apartment were friendly, although hard to reach - the phone was not answered except on the time of arrival, no street number was given, therefore it was very hard to find the apartment. The rooms were clean, though smelly (some wood preservative) and rather small. The location of the apartment was great, though on a rather noisy side-street on street level, so that the windows plus shutters didn't keep the noise out. The price was too high and had to be paid in cash. The kitchen was OK and sufficiently equipped. The bathroom was OK.

The apartment was extremely noisy. Extremely noisy! No mention of this was made on the website. It was not clean. We did assume that there would be some facility for washing clothes, but there was none. The second bed which was a fold-out couch was unusable as it was broken, the support slats under the mattress were actually missing. We have stayed in a number of 2 and 3 star hotels in European cities which were more comfortable and cheaper so we would not consider using this again. Minimal effort was made to greet us or show us how to use amenities such as gas being turned off at wall and only one set of keys provided to two adults. A cleaning lady let herself into the apartment whilst one of us was at home resting and this was an unpleasant surprise as we had not realised that others would be likely to enter the apartment without our permission during the stay and we had been leaving our valuables in there. The other major problem was that the 2 entry doors were large and heavy and slammed very loudly right next to our apartment. A simple hotel room would have provided better amenity nearby for 30 euro less per day. The location was good and the central heating worked. We did enjoy Rome despite this.
