We thought this place was great! It was clean, spacious and had 2 bathrooms which is necessary when traveling with 7 people, especially when two are teenagers. The landlady was charming and offered quite a bit of useful information about the area. The apartment is right on a bus line that gets you to Termini Station in just a few minutes. From there you can go anywhere! There is a fabulous outdoor market not too far away (5 minute walk) as well as a small grocery store, convenience stores, pastry shops, gelaterias, newsstands, etc. It is a real neighboorhood. This place gives you the opportunity to 'do as the Romans do'. There is a wonderful restaurant right across the street that has pizza, many different pastas and fabulous fish and seafood dishes. This particular apartment is a 4th floor walkup. Bring your comfy shoes. Also, remember that this is a city apartment. You will hear some traffic noise from the street below. We have stayed in hotels in Rome and honestly they were not quieter, although they were a lot more expensive, and not nearly as charming. In a hotel, you could be anywhere, in this apartment, you feel like you are somewhere special. May I also suggest using the optional transportation service to pick you up when you arrive in Rome and drop you back at the airport when you are headed home. A nice gentleman was standing waiting for us when we cleared customs, holding a large sign bearing our name. The vehicle was clean and he drove safely which is not a given in this particular city. He brought us to the rental office to get our keys and then to the apartment. It was simple, but it could have been a nightmare had we tried to do it ourselves, with all our bags, no real idea where we were going and not having had a very restful nights sleep behind us. Use the service! It is well worth the price! Enjoy!!!

The reason we did chose this apartment was because it had 4 stars and the pictures gave the feeling it was luxurious. However, it was not the case. It was clean and spacious, but not luxurious.... We though there was a living-room, it was in fact a bedroom that could be used as living room. I would give 3 stars, not 4. The apartment is not very far from the train station and a bus (105) brings you directly to the station (10 minutes). Bus 571 from Puerta Magiore (1 stop of the 105 or foot distance) brings you to all the interesting places in Roma (coliseo, Vatican, etc...). It's a new line, so not in the touristic guides. The positive is also the owners: very useful information was given and a good welcome. There is also a pizza/fish restaurant in front and some shops. Also a supermarket very close (200 m) and very cheap. Quite a lot of noise in the bedroom due to the street. We live in the country , so we are not used of a city street below our window! Despite of that, I would recommend this apartment but consider it as a 3 stars, surely not 4. For people who want to go in the summer, please note there is no airco! Note that I have no other experience in Rome, so I don't know if we can have better for this price!!
