The apartment was very comfortable and in a great location for sightseeing. It was very quiet in the apartment when the windows were closed, which was fine during late October and early November. In the summer, it might be less comfortable if the windows needed to be open. We would definitely recommend this apartment to others.

I was actually in Casa Navona 4 not Casa Navona 2, though that was the apartment I had booked. Instead we were on the fourth floor. The location is well - perfect. It just doesn't get much better. It is far enough off the Piazza that you don't get the noise but close to everything so easy to drop in and drop out of during the day. Even though there are no staff on the premises, I think the owner/manager went out of her way. The gentlemen at the antique stores (Piazza Navona 52) are also delightful and very, very helpful. I would recommend it to anyone and if I get the chance to go back to Rome again for pleasure (rather than business), I would check to see if there are vacancies at Casa Navona for sure! We had a great stay in this city apartment just outside of the Piazza Navona. There were 3 of us, my wife and adult daughter. My wife and I slept in the master bedroom and my daughter slept on the pullout couch in the living room. The first night was a little noisy for her, but the second night, we closed the shutters on the street side and it was much better. The renter of the apartment was very nice and pleasant to deal with. The location was amazing, couldn't have been better, and was an easy walk to all of the historic sites, and a quick bus ride to the Colosseum. Would recommend for someone looking for a good location, accommodations are a bit tight, but fine if you're planning to spend most of your time out and about.

It's a spacious apartment, with a view into the Piazza Navona, excellently placed for visiting the historic center of the city. There are many excellent restaurants nearby. This is the second time I have used this property, and I would recommend it highly.

I didn't really believe how positive other reviewers were - until I went to Casa Navona myself. High-quality, comfortable bed & sofabed and tasteful furnishing, extremely friendly & helpful staff - not the feeling of being ripped off that I'm afraid previous times in Rome led me to expect. Excellent value compared to a traditional hotel room, all prepared with a cot for the 6-month-old. The kitchenette is very basic, with 2 hotplates and a fridge (and sink!). Appliances are kettle, toaster & stove=top espresso maker. So if you go to the nearby "Rosticerri" in Corsa del Rinascamento make sure they get your food piping hot (not a proper rosticceria, no roast chickens, but posh ready to eat nosh.) Also don't miss in the Corsa del R. "Pasticceria Cinque Lune" (left out the door, then on the right 70 metres past tourist info kiosk). Continue about 100 metres past the little supermarket Serena told us about and there is "Gelateria del Teatro" down a little road to the left - we didn't manage to get there but it's artisan quality stuff according to the sign. Casa Navona is just next to a shop with tourist tat, close to the pedestrian crossing that leads to the northern end of Piazza Navona. Despite the address, it is not on a Piazza. The very nearest bus routes are 30, 70, 81, 130, 492 and 628 (again, in the C. del R.). No teabags, sugar or coffee but sachets of shampoo and shower gel. The stairs are quite tight with kids and the exterior door needs to be closed carefully (hence my rating). The internet router was twinkling away in the cupboard but we didn't need it. I would recommend this to anyone.

Great apartment, great surroundings and very friendly staff. I would recommend it to anyone visiting Rome. However I might not go there in the summer, since the Piazza navona is so overcrowded at that time and you can't open the windows. But for the rest of the year it's excellent!

our stay at Casa Navona was fantastic! The apartment was really lovely. The staff wonderful. We forgot to phone when our flight was delayed, and they waited for 2 hours for us. Oh yes, and they left us a bottle of bubbly for the anniversary that hadn't happened yet ... we got engaged that weekend :-) A perfect romantic location, well for us anyway.

My apartment in Casa Navona #2 was excellent. The location absolutely could not be beat. You literally crossed the street and you were in Piazza Navona, one of the most picturesque piazzas in Rome. From the window of the apartment you could see the ruins of the stadium upon which the piazza was built. The apartment itself was safe, immaculate, comfortable, well stocked and spacious. Although my train into Rome was late and I wasn't able to send a message that I would not be able to meet at the assigned check-in time, the management was gracious and check-in was speedy. Like others have said, you will need to be able to navigate narrow stairs and the heater for the shower is a bit of a puzzle. Quite frankly, given the positives of the apartment, you'll be too delighted with Rome and the apartment to be bothered for long. I will definitely return again. Grazie mille.

Casa Navona is located on the doorstep of Piazza Navona right in the centre of Rome and ideal for any tourist wanting to make the most of a long weekend. The property was extremely clean and the owner very accommodating. We were able to leave our bags on the final day through into the evening which was a great convenience to make the last few hours productive. There is one double bed, one double sofa bed and one single pull out bed (though request extra sheets for these). There are many steep stairs up the communal hallway but this is traditional for Roman apartments. I would highly recommend this apartment and should I go back to Rome it will be the first number I call.

- very good information on email from the hotel with description of how we should go by train/tram from the airport to the hotel. - the apartment is located very closed to Piazza Navona, and we could walk to all the famous tourist attractions. - drawbacks: - the stairs up to the apartment was very hard to walk; narrow stonestairs with high steps. - our apartment was in 4.floor, not in 2.floor as in the description - we didn't found any aircondition, and the apartment was very hot in the nights. Noisy with open windows. - but in spite of this drawbacks, we enjoyed the apartment very much, and we would like to stay there again.

We have been to Rome many times and by far this is the best accommodation we have found, and we will definitely return there. The location is perfect, and any concerns about noise were taken away by the shuttered windows. It features AC, spacious rooms, well-equipped kitchen, great closet. If I wanted to nitpick, I would ask for a hair dryer and a second set of keys. Be forwarned, it is a walk-up, so those with a medical condition will want to stay on the lower floors. Great stay, wonderful people.

Superb location, within sight of Pza Navona and genuinely walking distance to all the major sights. Everything in apartment was very clean and tidy, it all sems new. Air con could be better but OK. Claudio is on hand 5 mins away and he could not have been more helpful, inspite of limited English spoken, he is a real gem. Noisy with windows open but not an issue at all with double glazed windows closed. Sofa bed was quality and comfortable, unlike many lightweight ones. Kitchen a bit cramped for longer stays. Overall, a safe bet in a great location.

La situación es excelente. El apartamento es nuevo y está muy bien. Faltan algunos detalles de mobiliario y menaje de cocina ya que ambos, aunque nuevos, son algo escasos. Unico problema: Las escaleras (no hay ascensor)
