Excellent situation. the apartments are convenient but located on 2 wings , one of them being in works.

Great central location. No view, all we were able to see from our windows was the interior courtyard which was filled with scaffolding and construction debris. Great place to stay if you aren't planning to spend a lot of time in your room. Close to Wenceslas Square and Old Town. For the money I was very happy.

The apartment was clean and spacious in a great central location with a lift and private parking garage. Driving tips: Driving with a navigation system / GPS could be tricky through the web of oneway + pedestrian streets in the old town. Dining tips: Avoid the high prices at cafes located directly on the square.

Before reserving 10 days at the Havelska we checked out the comments. On the whole it looked good except for one "grumpy" comment and therefore decided to reserve. The price is equivalent to a decent hotel (with good searching on the net) however we wanted that extra, ie to self cater. I think we reserved the same apartment as "grumpy". The kitchen facilities were practically non-existent: fridge, two hot plates, an electric kettle, an odd assortment of kitchen utensils and plates. No microwave, no coffee making facilities, no toaster, no can opener, no corkscrew, no coffee cups/mugs, no wine glasses, no chopping board or chopping knife. The day after our arrival we received an assortment of 1 tea cup (no saucer), 2 tiny espresso cups (no saucers) and two mugs. The following evening we received two wine glasses and one can opener. The bedroom was an indoor bedroom with a small close to the ceiling window giving on to the lounge room and thus avoiding a pitch black bedroom -this wasn't an issue for us. Beside the kitchen facilities, the most annoying factor was that we were over a garage which creaked (concrete against metal) open and shut nonstop. On the positive side: the apartment was clean, we could not ask for a better location and charming, smiling staff. A thank you to Petra.

this was supposed to be set up for 4 people (there were 3 of us travelling) - it only had a complete set of utensils for one person. we had to ask a number of times for extra bowls, plates cups, glasses and cutlery for the 3 of us. They didn't even supply a toaster. The main bedroom was in the centre of the apartment with no windows - it was extremely hot at all times - the apartment could have done with a couple of fans to circulate the air. Also the building complex was still a building site. there were workmen working from 6am to 6pm each day. Only 3 apartments on our floor were usable and the rest were still being worked on. there was concrete dust, builders rubbish etc throughout the building, not to mention hordes of workmen hanging around. It was so ghastly we cut our stay short. We would not recommend this to anyone. Don't you people do checks on these places before you advertise them on your website??????

Fantastic location, very close to everything, metro very close plus all the main sites very easy to get to. Transfer from the airport worthwhile, arranged through the apartment owners - on time and then met at apartment by Paolo. Also, as the apartment was unoccupied on the Sunday we left, we could leave our bags there until later in the afternoon before going to the airport. Only disappointment - the photos on the site look nothing to the apartment we were given - in real life the bedroom was not nearly as spacious. There was also a lot of building work going on, on the floor the apartments are on - a lot of banging and general noise (but it's a nice quiet area at night) So, if you aren't planning on being in the apartment during the day then don't let this bother you as the location and service more than makes up for it. Also, the rooms didn't have fans, so it was VERY hot at night.

We set up a pick up at the airport and the guy was there waiting for us with a sign. The location is awsome, near the main square. I highly recomend this place. The owner spoke very good english so that made everything easy. He even gave us a map of prague. Everything is walking distance from the appartment so thats a plus. You will have everything u need at the appartment. Recomend to buy groseries and put in the fridge.

Convenient location, about 2 blocks from Old Town Sq. Apt is compact but functional. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was OK. It was nice to have the ability to cook and store food during our stay. Apt faced the street so there was late night noise but nothing unbearable. Due to great location, it is worth the stay.

Intitial contact with the owner proved a little difficult on a Sunday afternoon. There needs to be a clearer arrangement specified in the booking confirmation. The apartment took about 15- 20 minutes by tram from the railway station to get to. The Metro is probably faster and certainly drops you off closer to the church named Havelska frm which the apartments derive their name. The apartment was very comfortable and very close to Wencelas Square and the the old quarter. The apartment has been recently renovated and for those who want to do their own cooking a few more pans and other cooking utensils would have been useful, overall though it was a great place to be for exploring all the quarters of old Prague.

The apartment is located just seconds away from the old town square. It's well laid out, but the lobby is quite shabby. Price wise, it was very reasonable and the staff are very competent. Transfers can be organised to and from the airport on request. I would definitely recommend it to all prospective travellers.

The proprietors of Apartments Havelska provided us with execllent service. Coming to/from the airport we used the shuttle service which was excellent since we had a lot of luggage. It was 20 euro each way. Prague does have very good public transport which we used between the train station and the aprartments. On a return trip from Austria, the owner came out to meet us after 10pm to give us the keys and make sure that everything was ok. The location of the Apartments is excellent and easy walking distance from all of the major attractions in Prague. We did not use a metro except once coming back from the Prague castle and to/from the train station. Everywhere else we walked. The price was hard to top for a very comfortable stay. We slept fantastic in the rooms which despite the central location were very quiet. Overall, if I come back to Prague, I will stay with Apartments Havelska.

Perfetto!

Great location behind the old Square, best spot in Praque. Not the nicest apartment but good size, great for small groups of friends. Bring a cell with Pablo's number so he can meet you there, give you a map and your off. Everything is within walking distance. Great stay.

This was the very best way of staying in Prague. At the top foor, where we could see the city from our own roof terrace. Bedrooms, livingroom, kitchen, baths. The apartment has "everything" you need. There was a small elevator, good enought for us, but no room for for example baby trolleys in there. Short distance to The Old Town Square (3 min of walking) Nice area with theatre, shopping, restaurants, grocery store, tourist shops and anything else right around the corners. And the service was excellent. From the transfer from and to the airport, to the meeting at the front door of the residence, and the help and guidence at their office. Perfect place for the perfect stay!!!

Unfortunately the building was being renovated so everything was dusty, although the builders did their best to clean up. There was no washing machine as shown in the photos. There was no reception in the building - the people meeting you were waiting on the street. The street was quite hard to find in the one way streets in the old part of Prague. Parking our car was a bit scary in the basement along with building materials, etc. Overall was fairly good - will be much better when the building is finished being renovated.

A very nice apartment in the very heart of the old Prague. A wonderful panorama over the city from the windows and the terrace: you can see all the major monuments of the city just in front of you. The only negative aspect was the kitchen: the outfit of coocking utensils was too poor.

I have booked with Venere before and was happy with the accurate description of the locations booked. For our vacation to Prague, my mom and I decided to rent an apt instead of a hotel room. It was definitely the right choice! We were extremely happy with the fabulous location of Havelska. It seemed as though we really were in the best location of the city. It is right next to the Old Town Square and just a 15 minute walk to the Charles Bridge and other beautiful and historical locations. The best part of renting an apartment is that we had a kitchen. The supermarket was not far of a walk and the best outdoor market right on our street! Fresh fruits and veggies everyday! The first night we had a hard time getting our key into the apartment, so we went to the booking office and Paolo was extremely nice and drove us back to the apartment and showed us how to unlock the door. After that my mom became an expert. I don't know what my issue with the door was. The reason I mention this scenario is to show how helpful the owner of Apartment Havelska is. Overall, our experience was wonderful and I would definitely recommend to rent this property. The only downfall, as with most places in Prague, there is not airconditioning. So if you plan your vacation in the summer, just be aware. Prague was beautiful and Apartment Havelska was great! Thank you!

very nice apartment in a great location - only 2 mins from old town square and 5 mins from wenceslas square. however, the block the apartment was in was not great. other apartments undergoing renovation so building work started in apartment next door at 8.00 each morning except for sunday - very noisy. communal areas not always lit at night and builders on site at all times. however, good value for money and when building work is complete, will be great.

Havelska was a fabulous place to stay while in Prague. The apartment was really clean and absolutely huge and best of all it was only a few minutes walk to most of the attractions that we wanted to see. We would definitely recommend staying here.

The building is under a lot of construction, although the apartment was clean. The price is an excellent value for the location. I would stay here again, although I would definitely ask when booking if the construction has been finished. It was loud in the morning and messy.

The Havelska location is excellent - very close to the Prague main square and relatively quit. Our apartment was small, but adequate, and pleasant as it faced the street. Although workers were working in the coridor, and the place was dusty, Paolo and his staff were very helpful and everything worked out fine. We even got portable air-conditioner for the surprisingly hot and I guess unusual weather. Paolo is great and very flexible, he was especially helpful on our last day with arranging a taxi to the train station - which worked well and with allowing us to stay in the room till evening as there were no new guests for that day. The only problem was with the TV - confusing to use, but we were busy most of the time anyway. We would very much recommend this location for anybody visiting Prague.

These apartments seem to be in a "working transistionary" period that may be ongoing. However, our experience, once we got over a little uneasiness on first seeing the "work in progress" just inside the entrance, was quite satisfying. A friend and I stayed here for a week in late May, 2005 when Prague was experiencing a bit of a heatwave (90 or near 90 each day & very humid)and we weren't expecting air-conditioning but the huge balcony and the widnows allowed us to stay quite comfortable at night with breezes flowing through. The drawback to that was the typical street and other apartment noises coming through. Oddly, the loud noises all seemed to stop by 10 or 11pm. Our apartment had a large bathroom, bedroom and a huge kitchen/ living area with a big foldout futon-type bed (very firm, but that was good for me). The kitchen had everything you need utensil-wise to prepare your own meals. Plus, the Havelska Market is just outside the apt. The balcony really was a huge patio with a table but because of the blazing sun we didn't spend much time out there. You are pretty much on your own with these apts. but one would assume that's the reason you get an apt. However, the manager who dealt with us, Paolo, is a very smooth-talking charmer, but he did come through with everything we needed, but sometimes a day late. Also, do not expect your apt to look exactly like the pix on the website as that is just an example. Just state what you need and you should get it. Absolutely incredible value and location for price - right around the corner from The Old Town Square & Clock. Would stay there again without a moment's hesitation.

Other than the late night noise (which was only really bad one night out of 3) we were very pleased and impressed with our stay at Havelska. I thought that the actual apartment was nicer than what is shown in the photos, so I was really pleased with that. The location was perfect, and you can't beat the price! Paolo was also very welcoming and helpful. When booking online, I thought we were getting 2 double rooms, and so I was surprised when we were confirmed with only 1 double room. However, Paolo put 2 additional single beds in the room since we were traveling with 2 small children (and there was still more than enough room to move around in), and it was perfect. He also helped make our transportation arrangements to and from the airport. I would stay at Havelska again in a heartbeat and I plan on recommending it to everyone I know who travels to Prague.

I went on line and looked at the photographs of the apartment [looked really nice]so decided to book and the locality was excellent for the Old Town Square. When we arrived no one was there to greet us and after hanging around for 1/2 hour an old lady went into the apartment building and told us all were 'Private' no for rent. We looked at out paperwork and found a phone number which we rang and spoke to Paulo who informed us that he thought we were not coming and he was at the airport, would be with us in 1 hour. When he came he told us the apartment we booked was to small for four adults [on booking form we put four adults]. He took us to another apartment which was further away from the Square and it was really shabby and run down, but we had no other option than to stay. All taps ran and the general appearance was awful [would not have booked the apartment if the pictures were on line]. Paulo then said he be back on the day we were due to leave between 2-3 p.m., by 2.50 p.m. he had not arrived, again we phoned him and he told me he was at the airport with clients and would be with us in an hour. Told him we had to go and would leave the keys he then changed his mind and said he would be with us in 10 mins for payment [airport more than 10mins away]. My friends and I had a nice time in Prague but would not recommend booking these apartments.

The location of the appartment is perfect, you can walk to all the places of interest, it is literally 2 mins from The Old Town Square, which in my opinion is much nicer than Wenseslas Square which looks like any other street in any other city, i.e. over priced shops & bars, neon lights etc etc . When we walked into the building I thought 'oh my God what have I done???'the entrance was shabby & dirty - full of plaster dust etc.( Paulo di explain about the renovations. On entering the appartment I was pleasantly suprise by the cleanliness & warmth - my only disappointment being, the photographs of Havelska that ae featured on Venere are not the photographs of the App. we stayed in! The kitchen was fine, the living room was ok too, though much smaller in reality - but no where as near the size in the photos, bathromm was lovely BUT the bedroom was the BIG let down - two single beds shoved together, jammed against one wall & only a foot space between the other one, 2/3 foot at the end of the bed & a wardrobe - infact the chests of drawers were one on top of the other in the living room. FINE FOR THE TWO OF US (apart from the bedroom)BUT IF FOUR OF YOU WERE TO SHARE YOU WOULD PROBABLY KILL EACH OTHER WITHIN 2 DAYS DUE TO LACK OF SPACE.

This is a nice apartment, recently renovated, in the centre of Prague at a reasonable price. We could walk to all major tourist attractions, and were only five minutes from the Old Town Square. The building is rather shabby and in the process of major upgrading, but this didn't detract from the charm of the apartment. The only complaint we have is that there was an ironing board but no iron, and two requests to the owner failed to produce one.

This apartment was everything and more we could ask for. It had a nice bathroom and a new kitchen with everything you need. It is very central and in walking distance to the sights (like Prague Castle – about 30 minutes walk), the shopping streets, Old town and about 5 minutes walk from Venceslas Square. So you don’t have to think about taxi to get around. It is perfect for staying in Prague and the owner Paolo is very service mined and helpful. Recommended!
