Family with older children
India, Jun 2009
No one was there to receive us at the appointed time. We had to go to the office to get the keys. The lady (Lara Abresti ) on the intercom was very rude and refused to come and meet us and sent the keys through a housekeeping lady who spoke only french. So we could not ask her about anything. The sofa bed was also not set and we had to open it ourselves. We were also not informed about the lock number code of the external gate. We spent a considerable amount of time trying to unlock the gate with the keys given to us. The washing machine makes a lot of noise and moves about while its in operation. The flooring is very old. There is hardly any place to move about while taking a shower.

The appartment is spacious for Paris standards, very quiet although situated in a lively area, the bathroom is fine, the kitchenette is ok. English speaking staff.

Bonaparte Grand Studio; 9, rue des Canettes is a great place to stay. Surrounded by restaurants, shops, cinemas and cafés. You can easily walk to Montparnasse, St. Michel, Notre Dame and surroundings. Furthermore there are 2 metro lines and different buslines just down the street. The studio is very quiet and cosy, perfect for a couple with a bigger kid or 3 persons (the mezzanine is not suitable for young children). Service level and welcome were excellent. I can recommend this place.

Nice surroundings, St Sulpice and the Luxembourg Gardens excellent neighbourhood. The room itself was OK, clean and airy, old, but relatively well kept. There was only one cup (for three persons), just enough glasses and the cutlery and plates were an assorted mix. Nice touch with the small washing machine. Very quite, plenty of warm water. Should have brought shoes for in-door wear, the tiled floor was nice, but cold. Beds fairly good. Missed some comfortable chairs.

Good room and location. Our (My Parents and Myself) first apartment experience, which is different from standard hotel (no daily housekeeping or replacement of toiletpaper). I'm sure that the helpful staff would have brought more if we contacted them, but we didn't. The fridge and dishes made up for that.

We are a family with two young children from Asia. Therefore, it was nice to have a kitchen and washer handy. We did not have to go out for dinner as we could cook just enough for us.

The apartment/studio was somewhat more spacious than expected. It had a nice bathroom, a small tea kitchen with cooking facilities, and a room with one queen size and one king size bed. According to the reservation the apartment was suitable for three persons, but we could easily have been four. The apartment was located some 20-25 minutes walk from the Eiffel tower, 10-15 minutes walk from the Notre Dame and 5-10 minutes walk from the Louvre museum. Even closer, some 3-4 minutes away, by the junction of rue mabillon and rue lobineau, was a nice food market with a couple of butchers shops, a fish shop, a shop for cheese, one for vegetables, and so on. The food market is located within a large department store building and may be hard to spot. There was a small information booklet in the apartment, but they somehow failed to mention this food market. The day we left, the owners let us keep the apartment to 4 p.m. which we were really grateful for. All in all we were very happy with our stay and would not hesitate to recommend this apartment to others.

Excellent location! (rue Bonaparte) Everything is next door - boutiques, cafes, parking, taxi and metro. Besides staying in the apartment other than in the hotel does not make you feel as a guest so much which was great. The apartment itself was small but cosy. As we were with a child it was convinient to have a kitchen (but very small) Excellent place if you look for a good impression of a real Paris!

It was quite a comfortable apartment in a very old building and well equiped for a longer stay . Ulrika was very helpful and friendly and very nice . The only bad thing was the climb up all of those stairs with our luggage .

The appartment in Rue des Canettes is very spacious and located centrally. However the sleeping facilities can be improved. The appartment in Rue Bonaparte is well equipped and is in nice setting.
