we arrived when reception was closed, but the groundsman took us to the pool and made sure we could use it for a few hours - very helpful. we booked a 2 bedroom but got a 3 bedroom and it was exactly what we wanted. There is a good walk to the beach and town, but we did it every day ok. great pool areas and good taxi service back to the airport.

The restaurant was a let down - one time they had run out of food (!!), another time they were shut. When we finally ate there, the food was distinctly ordinary. Very handy having a big supermarket within walking distance Town was 20mins walk away which is doable, but not every night

El Capistrano is excellent value for money. It ain't the Ritz, the appartments are a little dated but for the money we paid at peak season, they are spot on. Gardens are lovely, nice safe pool area, staff are sound, but they're fond of siesta which can effect checking in. Rent a car if you stay here unless you really want to lose 4 stone in a week walking the hill back up from the beach. Visit the caves nearby, pretty cool! Beaches in Nerja are excellent too. I'd stay here again without a doubt. It's probably one of the nicest resorts in southern Spain.

At first we were assigned a somewhat darkish appartment which was next to the pool's engine room. Since we didn't accept this we immediately got a quiet appartment with a very sunny terrace and wonderful view of the bay. A minor drawback was a street nearby which wasn't really a problem. The sleeping room, however, was totally quiet.

How to reach Apartment El Capistrano Sur

By airplane
From the Málaga airport, follow the 'Málaga' direction. Once you are approaching the city, proceed towards 'Almería-Motril'.
After about 65 km, you will find the 'Nerja-Frigiliana' exit. Do not take this exit. Proceed on the motorway and a bit later you will find the 'Cuevas de Nerja-Nerja-Maro' exit. You will see this exit just after crossing the 'Capistrano' under-way. Take the mentioned exit and proceed towards 'Nerja'. You will be in a main road and, after a couple of minutes, you will find, on the right side, the 'El Capistrano Village' exit. Once in 'El Capistrano', turn right and take the first street on the left. You will find the reception in the centre of the Commercial area.
